We recently traveled on a Sail Croatia Elegance Cruise aboard the luxury vessel Katarina from Split to Dubrovnik in late September/early October. The onboard experience exceeded our expectations. The food was exceptional—fresh, delicious & high quality. The drinks, boat, staff, captain, crew & our Sail Croatia guide were phenomenal & went above & beyond. Our only disappointment was Sail Croatia’s back-office itinerary planning. We spent an afternoon & evening in Vela Luka, only to find the town essentially closed for the season. Restaurants & businesses were closed, there was little to do & no taxis or boats were available to reach nearby beaches. For a luxury cruise, seasonal closures should be considered when planning late-season itineraries. Another stop or extra time in Dubrovnik would have been a much better option. Katarina & the onboard experience were exceptional. We only wish the itinerary had matched the same high standard.

Thank you for your lovely comments about Katarina and our onboard team! We're delighted to hear that the food, vessel, Captain, crew and your Sail Croatia Representative exceeded your expectations. We're sorry that you found Vela Luka quieter than anticipated. Vela Luka is a scheduled part of our Elegance itinerary and, while local businesses and services operate independently and may vary throughout the season, a number of options were available during the stop, including a wine tasting excursion, visiting Vela Spila and arrangements for guests wishing to visit nearby Proizd. The Captain's Dinner was also held onboard that evening. We really appreciate your feedback regarding the late-season itinerary and have shared your comments with our Operations Team for consideration. Most importantly, we're so pleased that you had such an exceptional experience aboard Katarina, and we hope to welcome you back to Croatia in the future!
Gorgeous boat, however there must be a better system for the toilets. They constantly smelt even when we arrived. A pair of tongs in the kitchen would be helpful. The head sail had not been checked and was requiring fixing by our crew. Other than that the Adriatic Sea was beautiful.

Thank you for sharing your review 3 star following your bareboat Yacht Charter aboard the catamaran Skyfall. We’re pleased you enjoyed the beautiful Adriatic and the catamaran overall. We’re sorry to hear about the issues with the toilets and headsail and have shared these comments, along with your suggestion regarding the kitchen equipment, with our team for review. Thank you again for your valuable feedback.
Croatia was beautiful. Adriatic wonderful to swim in. The week’s scheduling was very regimented. The ports we visited had very strict docking times to enter. Caused us to have some awkward pauses or short swims. Wish our guides had taken time on land ion each to show us around a bit. They made lots of suggestions on what’s app .. but that seemed cold. We could have biked more. Last bike was cut very short because guides did not know roadways closed for clearing and cleaning. They should have found an alternative route. Food was fabulous on board. Crew was very professional and helpful. Ship was much more elegant and updated than I expected. Optional farm lunch tour was dissspointing. No interaction with the farm family .. no tour of farm. Just here’s your food. Heard wine tasting was also very disappointing. Don’t offer and push these options if they are not top notch.. . overall this was ok experience. In Croatia. You can do better.. it was Very touristy . . Make more personal..

Thank you for your 3 star review. We’re delighted you enjoyed beautiful Croatia, swimming in the Adriatic, the fabulous food onboard, and particularly the professionalism of our crew and quality of the ship. We appreciate your comments regarding the scheduling and would have liked the overall experience to have felt more personal. Port timings and local conditions can sometimes impact the planned cycling and daily schedule, but we understand the disappointment when this results in shorter activities. Your feedback regarding the guidance ashore and optional excursions is also valuable, as we want these experiences to genuinely enhance our guests’ time in Croatia. Thank you for sharing your experience and we hope to have you onboard again in the near future.
The crew and guides for sale Croatia were fantastic. Cal and Sasha, our bike guides, were helpful and fun. The biking was the highlight of the trip. The bikes were high quality. the captain clearly had the safety of the passengers as his top priority. In contrast, simple conveniences were not available. The bathrooms did not contain soap in the shower. Clean towels were only provided once during the week. And storage space and electrical sockets were sparse in the cabin. Also bike bags for carrying personal items like rain jackets… we’re not provided. For the final 24 hours - hot water was not available on the boat. Many extra fees were required during the tour eg bikes through a national forest required additional euros. The food on the boat was average - most of the meats were overcoooked.

Holiday was fantastic. The crew was absolutely 5 star and so amazing as well as our guides. Special shout out to Borna, Andrej, and Jelena! They are stellar. Biking through the islands was trip-of-a-lifetime incredible with amazing vistas and exposure to culture we could not have experienced otherwise. The only disappointment was we paid for a premium ship and due to some issue with our ship Sail Croatia had to contract a smaller ship with less comforts and it was too small for the number of passengers.

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re pleased to hear that everything else about your experience was positive. Due to a last-minute operational change, the vessel originally allocated to your departure did need to be changed, and we apologise for any disappointment or confusion this caused. However, your booking was for our Premier ship category, and the replacement vessel was also a Premier ship, meaning there was no downgrade in the category booked. Thank you again for travelling with us and for your understanding regarding the last-minute vessel change.
Everything good except we paid for a premium upgraded ship and it was changed to a lower grade ship.

However, your booking was for our Premier ship category, and the replacement vessel was also a Premier ship, meaning there was no downgrade in the category booked. We would also like to clarify that our Premier ships offer a comfortable style of small-ship cruising, rather than an upgraded or luxury ship experience. For guests looking for a higher standard of ship, accommodation and amenities, this is offered through our Luxury Cycle product. Thank you again for travelling with us and for your understanding regarding the last-minute vessel change.
The staff, food, and itinerary were wonderful, and Croatia is a beautiful country. We were, however highly disappointed by the size and quality of the lower cabin. We are a couple in our 60’s and we were shocked to be assigned the smallest of rooms with a bunk bed. Nowhere online were photos of this room available or advertised. If we had known the room would be so small, musty smelling, and damp we never would have booked a lower cabin. In fact, we were the first of 22 friends to book and this was the room assigned to us!! We were also quite frustrated by not being told the name of our ship until two days before boarding. It felt like bait and switch being assigned the Mali Luka when it didn’t look anything like the ships advertised on the Sail Croatia website. We absolutely feel that the size and condition of the cabin did not warrant the price we paid, Customers should know exactly what they are paying for!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you found the staff, food and itinerary wonderful and that you enjoyed beautiful Croatia. We are sorry that your cabin did not meet your expectations; however, we would like to clarify that your booking was for our Premier ship category, and Mali Luka is a Premier ship within this category. Our Premier ships offer a comfortable style of small-ship cruising rather than a luxury experience, and bookings are made by ship category rather than a specific vessel. This is why the individual ship is confirmed closer to departure. We also outline in our FAQs prior to booking that cabins across our Premier ship fleet vary in size and configuration and may feature twin beds, a double bed or a bunk-bed style arrangement. While we always endeavour to accommodate guest preferences, a particular cabin layout cannot be guaranteed within this category. For guests looking for a higher standard of accommodation and amenities, or who would prefer to select their specific ship and cabin type when booking, we also offer our Luxury Cycle product. We appreciate your feedback and are pleased that, despite your disappointment with the cabin, the staff, food and itinerary were highlights of your experience.
I had really good expectations for this holiday but sadly was very disappointed. Firstly I would like to say that our guides Tasi and Toni were excellent & went above & beyond to give us a good experience. I will write separately to the company to give details of our bad experience because there is too much to mention here but suffice to say there were arguments between other members of the crew. The food was well below standard & sadly lots of it came from tins. The boat was tired & we had a few problems amongst the passengers with major things going wrong. Complaint letter to follow

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re pleased to hear your kind comments regarding Tasi and Toni and the support they provided throughout your cruise. We’re sorry to hear that other aspects of your experience did not meet your expectations. Our team is in direct communication with you regarding the concerns raised, and your feedback has been reviewed in detail with our Management and Operations teams. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience.
5 stars for the flexibility of the tour (great balance of bike, swimming, city walks and sailing time). Low-quality ship with humongous humidity in cabins. For was just ordinary, with little flavour and no variety. Wine policy (buying entire bottles instead of wine by the glass) is ridiculous. Alcool prices are exorbitant on the ship. Example: house is sells 45 euros for 750ml. Tommy sells same brand for 7,95 euro… Despite poor quality of the ship and meal offering, I had a great vacation!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you had a great vacation and particularly appreciate your 5-star rating for the flexibility of the tour, including the balance of cycling, swimming, exploring and sailing. We’re sorry that some aspects of the ship did not meet your expectations. You travelled on our Premier ship category, which is designed to provide a more comfortable small-ship experience, rather than a luxury product. For guests looking for a higher standard of ship, amenities and overall comfort, we also offer our Luxury Cycle product. We also appreciate your comments regarding the meals and onboard drinks offering and pricing, which we will share with the relevant team for review. Thank you again for travelling with us. We’re pleased that, despite these areas of feedback, you ultimately had a great holiday and enjoyed the overall Cycle Croatia experience.
I was on the "Elegant" cruise on Romantic Star. If you request non-dairy, I hope you like boiled potatoes. If you're paying a single supplement, prepare to be disappointed. At about $5000 for 1 week I expected more than The Annoyed Server, The Angry Sous Chef, and The Bar Tender from Jeers. This is a bad trip for solos and even worse for onesies who don't drink much. I am not a foodie but found most meals weird and unpalatable, especially the village dinner. This has nothing to do with the ethnicity of the cuisine. The trip revolved around couples and wine tasting. Even though I have traveled solo many times and I was with a dozen other friends, I still felt blue from time to time as did some other solo travelers there. One of the perks of i and travel, which of this was not, is that staff learns your name caters to you on some level, and asks if you like, the food. Our tour manager Anita was a rock star. But could not make up for the disinterested staff and lackluster staff.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Firstly, we’re delighted to hear your wonderful comments about Anita, and we’ll be sure to pass these on to her. We’re sorry that your overall experience onboard Romantic Star did not meet your expectations. Having reviewed the feedback from this departure as a whole, guests generally rated their experience highly, so your 1-star rating does stand apart from the broader feedback received. While we understand that you booked independently and paid the single supplement, we would also like to clarify that you were travelling alongside a larger group of approximately 12 friends onboard, rather than travelling solo. Our Elegance cruises welcome guests travelling independently, as couples and as part of groups, and naturally the social dynamic between guests will vary from departure to departure. We appreciate that food is also a matter of personal preference and are sorry that the meals were not to your taste. Your comments regarding your dietary requirements and the service you experienced have also been shared with the relevant team. Thank you again for travelling with us, and particularly for recognising Anita’s efforts throughout your week.
We booked this sailing trip for the first week of September, paying £779, and overall I’d say it was a good trip for the price — but there are definitely some things I wish I’d known before booking. Arrival & accommodation We arrived and were greeted by a lovely host who showed us to our rooms below deck. This is probably the biggest thing I would flag for anyone booking. The rooms are very small, and the pictures online don’t really give you an idea of just how small they are. We were sharing a room with bunk beds, and there was no overhead space, so you couldn’t actually sit upright in the bed. We had read online that there was space underneath the beds for luggage, so we travelled with a suitcase expecting it to fit underneath. Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough space. I spoke to the staff and initially felt that it was a bit of a “this is what it is” situation, but our tour host was very accommodating and offered us another room to use for our luggage. We were extremely grateful for this. In the end, I actually just stayed in the other room, which made more sense, and this wasn’t a problem. The rooms are also very dated and could definitely do with some TLC. The beds weren’t particularly comfortable either, and I wouldn’t describe the accommodation as luxurious in any way. That said, we managed and spent very little time in the room because we were out enjoying the destinations. Another issue was towels. The packing list we received said towels would be provided and that we didn’t need to bring our own. Once onboard, we discovered that standard ships apparently don’t provide them, according to the website. This was conflicting information and obviously too late to resolve once we were already there. Again, the host was very accommodating and provided us with bath towels, which we really appreciated. The sailing & destinations After lunch and the initial briefing, we headed off to explore our first destination. The recommendations from the host about where to go, what to see and where to eat were really helpful. The actual sailing experience was fantastic. The swim stops were a real highlight, and stopping at different places gave us plenty of opportunities to explore and experience as much as possible. We had enough time in each destination to do our own thing, which we really enjoyed. One thing to be aware of is that the engine is noisy. On our first morning, it woke me at around 6am. I went looking for a coffee, only to discover that coffee wasn’t available until breakfast at 8:30am. Again, the staff were very kind and made me one, but it’s worth knowing if you’re an early riser! We didn’t take part in the group dinners or organised activities because we preferred to explore independently and partying wasn’t really our priority. This wasn’t an issue at all. The host was very accommodating and happy to give us recommendations and information about each destination. One of the original stops was changed because of personal circumstances affecting the captain. The replacement destination was lovely, but it’s worth knowing that the itinerary isn’t necessarily set in stone, so don’t get too attached to the places shown when booking. Food The food was another positive. I wouldn’t say the food we received looked quite like the pictures on the website, but it was still really enjoyable and delicious. Breakfast had a good variety — cereals, yoghurt, fruit, meats, cheeses and eggs prepared differently each day. Lunch was three courses and could include things like crisps and dips, wraps, a really tasty carbonara, followed by cake, ice cream or another baked dessert. There was plenty of choice and we were never left hungry. The staff The staff were lovely throughout the trip — friendly, chatty, helpful and very accommodating. Nothing seemed too much trouble when we had questions or needed something. Our particular trip was relatively quiet, with around 15 people onboard, and we were told previous trips had been much livelier. Personally, I think we were lucky with the smaller group. The boat can apparently sleep up to 32 people, but I honestly can’t imagine 32 people being particularly comfortable in the available space. With 15, it felt like enough. The tipping experience The one thing that really left a sour taste for me was the tipping at the end of the trip. We were reminded several times throughout the holiday about tipping, including through the WhatsApp group, and were told that envelopes would be available for tips for the tour guide and boat staff. The suggested amounts were also mentioned. The day before leaving, we had to settle our bar bill between 2–3pm, as well as pay the €40 tax that had to be added. When I went into the dining area to pay, there were two very visible tip boxes showing how much money was being put into them. While I was paying my bar bill, the lady then pointed out the tip boxes and asked about the tips directly. For me, this felt quite pressured and awkward, particularly with several members of staff also in the dining room at the time. I completely understand that tipping is an important part of the industry and that staff work hard, but having it repeatedly mentioned throughout the trip and then being asked directly, with the tip boxes in front of you, made me feel uncomfortable. I came away feeling a little disappointed that this was how the trip ended. I would much rather have felt that tipping was completely voluntary and left to the individual’s discretion without the repeated reminders and direct approach. Overall Giving this trip a star rating is actually quite difficult because the different parts of the experience vary so much. The boat itself would be around 3/5 — it is very dated, the cabins are extremely small and it definitely needs some renovation. The staff were 4/5 — genuinely lovely, helpful and accommodating. The food was 4/5 — good variety and enjoyable meals. But the destinations and sailing experience were the real reason this trip was worth it. Being able to sail between different places, swim in beautiful spots and have plenty of time to explore made the holiday. For £779 in the first week of September, I think overall we got good value for money. You definitely get what you pay for, though, and I would recommend going into it knowing that this is not a luxury sailing experience. The boat is basic and dated, the cabins are tiny, and there are a few things where the information provided before booking could be clearer. If you’re looking for a more affordable sailing adventure, are happy to compromise on accommodation and want to prioritise seeing different places, then I think it’s a great option. Just go prepared for the small cabins, bring your expectations down regarding the boat, and enjoy the destinations — because that’s where this trip really shines.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re delighted to hear how much you enjoyed the sailing experience and destinations, and particularly appreciate your 4 star ratings for both our staff and the food onboard. We also appreciate your 3 star rating and feedback regarding the ship itself. As you mentioned, this is not a luxury sailing experience; your booking was on one of our Standard category ships, which is the most budget-friendly option within our Navigator cruises and offers more basic accommodation and amenities. Showering towels are not included within this category, as outlined in our Pre-Departure Information. For guests looking for a higher level of comfort, we offer ship categories with higher-quality amenities and additional inclusions, at a higher price point - such as the Ensuite and Premier ships. We’re pleased that overall you felt the trip represented good value for money and that the destinations and sailing experience were the real highlights of your week. Thank you again for travelling with us!
Ports were not great , crew was sub par rarely interacted with guests .

We chartered an Elan 45 with Sail Croatia because it was advertised with a generator, which was the main reason we chose this particular yacht. Before booking, we even contacted the company to confirm that the generator was available. Unfortunately, the generator did not work for the entire charter. The mechanic confirmed that it could not be repaired, so we had to change our plans and spend additional nights in marinas to access shore power instead of enjoying the freedom of anchoring. Equipment failures can happen, and we understand that. Our disappointment was that we paid a premium for a feature that was unavailable throughout the entire week, significantly affecting the comfort and flexibility of our holiday. If a generator is important for your trip, I recommend confirming not only that the boat is equipped with one, but also asking what the company’s policy is if it becomes unavailable during your charter.
- Anonymous, 03/08/2026 04:21, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your review. We understand that the generator was an important feature for your group and that its failure affected the way you had planned to enjoy your bareboat Yacht Charter. As a gesture to recognise the inconvenience caused, we agreed on a compensation arrangement with you during the charter, which we were pleased you were happy with at the time. Whilst all vessels undergo regular maintenance and checks throughout the season, unfortunately equipment failures can sometimes occur unexpectedly. In this instance, the generator could not be repaired during your charter. We’re therefore naturally disappointed to see this review, particularly as we did work with you during the charter to address the issue and provide compensation. That said, we understand your disappointment and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We will continue to review how we can best support guests when an important onboard feature unexpectedly becomes unavailable.
Average The biat was not like advertised and had many issues My too bunk was not working so we had to share a double bed, the bathroom had lots of plumbing issues including smell coming from taps and brown water leaks in bedrooms. We didnt even get to go to hvar wich was one of the main stops and instead didnt dock and anchored in the ocean for the whole day and no one was allowed to get off and no solution was made.

Thank you for taking the time to review us and share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. After reviewing our internal reports, we were unable to find any record of concerns regarding a leak or any plumbing issues in your cabin. As outlined in our pre-departure information, we have a clear onboard reporting process to ensure that any issues can be addressed as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, as these concerns were not reported to your Onboard Representative during the trip, our team was not given the opportunity to investigate or resolve them while you were onboard. Our Captains work hard to provide the best possible experience based on weather and port conditions and at times, the itinerary and port locations may need to change during the week as advertised. Upon checking with our Operations team, we were pleased that even though due to port availability you were docked in Stari Grad, a bus transfer to Hvar Town was organised giving everyone free time to explore Hvar Town. We do appreciate you taking the time to provide your feedback, as it helps us continue to review and improve our services.
Sail Croatia was the worst experience. Our top deck was closed the whole week so there wasn’t enough chairs for people to tan during the day. My food had hair in it almost everyday and my room leaked and my whole bag with all my clothing got wet.

We have just completed cycling sail croatia week. A few recommendations for sail croatia to consider for upcoming trips, and for travellers who are considering this trip. If you are travelling as a couple you need to specify you want a double room. The food on the boat was very tasty however the orange juice in the morning could be greatly improved. They could also increase their variety of wines on board. Miranda our cycling leader was excellent and very supportive. Time spent in some of the villaages I felt was rushed, definitely wished we had a longer duration in Havar. If you enjoy an active holiday this is definitely one to consider as a way to see Croatia.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the cycling, found the food tasty, and that Miranda made such a positive impact on your trip. Regarding the bedding configuration, whilst we're unable to guarantee specific bed types on our Cycle Croatia cruises due to the varying layouts of our vessels, we absolutely welcome guests to let us know if they have a preferred bedding configuration. We do our best to accommodate these requests wherever possible; however, as ship allocations are finalised closer to departure and each vessel has its own unique cabin configuration, we are unable to guarantee them. This information is outlined on our website and within our booking information prior to travel. For guests seeking guaranteed bedding configurations, our Luxury Cycle cruises offer this option. We also appreciate your suggestions regarding the orange juice, wine selection, and the amount of time spent in some of the destinations. Thank you again for your valuable feedback, and we hope to welcome you back to Croatia in the future.
Not for those that want relaxation and quiet strolling mixed with biking. Not enough time to swim and stroll between biking or even during biking times. No fluff, that’s for sure.

Enjoyed the biking and guides. Crew was great.Views were spectacular. The cabin left a lot to be desired. Terrible mattress, bathroom was a mess, couldn’t shower without wetting the whole room, AC was subpar.. The food was mostly good, with several poor mains and sides. fruit cocktail from a can should not be served for dessert. drink prices on board were extremely high, five euros for a small Coke..

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the cycling, found the guides and crew to be great, and were able to take in the spectacular views throughout your journey. We also appreciate your honest comments regarding the cabin, dining, and onboard drinks. Guest feedback is invaluable in helping us identify areas where we can improve, and we will be sharing your observations with our operations and catering teams for review. While we're pleased that much of the food met your tastes, we're sorry that certain meals and aspects of the cabin experience fell short. We do note that meal ratings from other guests on your departure averaged 4.57 out of 5; however, we fully appreciate that dining experiences and personal tastes can vary from guest to guest, and we respect your individual perspective. Thank you again for travelling with us. We truly value your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you onboard another adventure in the future.
I was somewhat disappointed and felt the overall experience to be a little lacking. While the air conditioning failed in some cabins and the crew did what they could to fix it was understandable, one guest complained and the Captain felt it necessary to berate all guests on board at dining. The excursions were less than what was advertised. The swim time was extremely long and cut into time that could have been spent on shore. We scheduled a pick up through our ship from our hotel to the ship for departure and then were not allowed on the ship for 2 hours in an area with no shelter, shopping or bathrooms. The coordinator of excursions missed the mark on helping acquire e-bikes along with knowledge of restaurants and distances to attractions. There were not enough deck chairs for the number of guests. The jacuzzi was filled only twice. Coffee was only available during breakfast hour or had to pay for it. Overall, the experience was not what we had hoped for or planned.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While mechanical issues can occasionally arise unexpectedly, we're pleased that our crew responded promptly and worked hard to restore the AC as quickly as possible. We're sorry to hear that other aspects of the trip did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate your comments. Feedback such as yours is valuable and helps us continue to review and improve the guest experience.
The Croatian itinerary was fantastic, and the crew were friendly and hardworking throughout the trip. Unfortunately, the condition of the Mali Ante did not meet our expectations. The ship felt older and less well-maintained than many others we saw in port. The jacuzzi was out of service for most of the trip, our shower leaked, & our lower-deck cabin was extremely noisy whenever the engines started. The cabin was also very damp, leaving clothing and towels moist and causing some clothes to develop a musty odor. We also found what appeared to be mold or mildew staining on our bedding. Breakfast was limited to one hour each morning, no snacks were provided between meals, and guests could not bring their own snacks or drinks onboard. Drinks were expensive, and the bar tab had to be paid in cash. Considering the ship’s condition and limited amenities, the suggested gratuities felt excessive. While Croatia was beautiful, the overall experience did not provide the value we expected.
- Tiffany, 15/06/2026 07:26, Travelled with Family
Hi Tiffany, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed review. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed the itinerary and found the crew aboard your ship to be friendly and hardworking. We'll be sure to pass your kind words on to them. Mali Ante is a highly rated ship within our fleet, so we are sorry to hear that certain aspects of your onboard experience did not meet your expectations on this occasion. We offer a variety of vessels within our Explorer Cruise range to cater to different travel styles and budgets, allowing guests to select the ship that best suits their preferences. We have a thorough process in place for communicating and resolving issues during the cruise. Having reviewed our internal records, I can see that the concerns outlined in your review were not raised with the onboard representative during your trip. Had we been made aware of these issues at the time, our team would have done their best to investigate and address them while you were onboard to ensure you were satisfied with the outcome. As outlined in our pre-departure documentation and guest App, tipping is entirely optional. The crew onboard our ships are paid fairly for their work; however, gratuities are a widely recognised way for guests to acknowledge exceptional service. Many guests choose to leave a tip as a gesture of appreciation, however this is always at each individual's discretion. We appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention and thank you again for sharing your experience with us.
I wouldn’t ever sail on the standard of boat used on this trip because the cabins were pretty much all of a low standard in one way or another. Additionally noise at night was a significant issue, due to tie ups in harbour. Sleep quality on the boat was poor and the cabin air conditioning caused throat problems. The tipping expectations for staff on this boat of about 20% of the cost of the trip were ridiculous. No one tipped that much, Other people on the boat great fun. Ilona was a very good hike leader. Food on board ok to good, but why no menu for the week or choices? Would go to Croatia again but on a land based tour. The hikes were worth doing. None of our friends would tolerate the standard of boat so wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Hi there, Thank you for your 3-Star review and for taking the time to leave your feedback. It is great to hear that you enjoyed the company of your fellow travellers and that Ilona was a very good hike leader. We will be sure to pass on your comments to Ilona. We are also pleased to hear that the food onboard was good. As per our website our guests enjoy a 3 course lunch daily which received a high score of 4.67 out of 5 from your particular departure. We could't agree more that the hikes are worth doing. Our Hike cruises certainly do allow you to completely immerse yourself in the beautiful nature of this country and year after year these type of holidays are becoming more and more popular. We are however sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy certain aspects of the ship and thank you for your feedback received during the week and after the cruise. We understand you tried to book our Luxury Hike cruise which unfortunately was sold out - and this somewhat left you disappointed with your Premier ship experience. We would like to highlight that the feedback collected from our guests at the end of the cruise resulted in an outstanding overall score for the ship of 4.79 out of 5. Thank you for sharing your comments regarding the noise in port. It is correct that all the ships - as with any tour operator in Croatia - are moored up in the harbours at night. As is the case with any type of cruise and group travel, one must expect a certain degree of noise - whether from onboard social activity, natural sounds and mechanics of being on a ship as well as the surrounding people from other ships. Thank you once again for travelling with us.
First off I want to say that the cycling was fantastic. Having said that, our trip was rated a 2.5/5 which is true but that rating is the average of the intensity of the rides. So some days were 1/5 and some were 4/5. We had an issue in our bathroom that was not resolved until the 4th day. The food was mediocre at best. Very little fruit, everything was cold, croissants that weren't baked through, single ingredient salads, only instant coffee unless you were willing to pay extra, Drinks were expensive, you couldn't get single glasses of wine. Our guide was knowledgeable but he spoke so quickly it was difficult to follow what he was saying. Both he and the other guide were friendly and helpful. I found my bike to be comfortable but there were a number of issues with the bikes in general. Croatia is beautiful and I would recommend exploring it by bike but not with SailCroatia.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're pleased to hear that you found the cycling fantastic and that you enjoyed exploring Croatia by bike. It's also wonderful to know that you found both guides friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and that you were comfortable on your bike throughout the trip. Croatia truly is a beautiful destination for cycling, and we're pleased that these aspects of your holiday left a positive impression. We appreciate your comments regarding the route grading. Our ratings are intended to reflect the overall average difficulty of the tour, and as you noted, daily rides can vary depending on the terrain and itinerary, with some days being more challenging than others. Regarding the cabin issue, our understanding was that the concern related to the shower hook in your bathroom. This was addressed during the scheduled cabin service and we apologise for any inconvenience caused in the meantime. We're sorry to hear that the food did not meet your expectations and clearly there is room for improvement based on your feedback. It has already been passed on to the relevant parties for review. Thank you again for travelling with us and for sharing your thoughts.
I enjoyed the cruise itinerary and the ship was very nice. Unfortunately other cruise attendees were obnoxious and inconsiderate. the ship staff seemed to favor the needs of these individuals, making the overall experience unpleasant at times. I chose an Elegance cruise expecting a different environment. Even other cruise ships were complaining about our “party ship”

We thoroughly enjoyed our days cycling around the islands. Our guides Marin and Martin were superb! The ship however needs some work. The room was not very clean as well as the ship. The room we were given was right next to the engine which awoke us each morning and also smelt of exhaust. The captain was very nice but his staff seemed uninterested in their jobs and did a lot of sitting around (while the ship needed) cleaning.) The food was not very good.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're delighted to hear that you thoroughly enjoyed your cycling experience around the islands and that Marin and Martin helped make your trip so memorable. We're sorry to hear that certain aspects of the onboard experience did not fully meet your expectations. We appreciate your comments regarding the cleanliness of the vessel and cabin, the location of your cabin, the food quality, and your interactions with the crew. We understand how these factors can impact overall comfort and enjoyment, and we will ensure your feedback is shared with our team and the vessel operator for review and consideration. It's wonderful to hear such positive comments about your guides, who work incredibly hard to create an enjoyable and safe experience for our guests. We will be sure to pass on your kind words to Marin and Martin. Thank you again for your constructive feedback and recommendation. We truly value guest insights as they help us continue to improve our experiences.
The itinerary on our 7 day Tempera cruise was great, our cabin was fantastic but unfortunately the whole experience was severly let down by incredibly poor food and service staff. Definitely not worth the money we paid for the trip.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the itinerary and that you were pleased with your cabin aboard Tempera. However, we are sorry to learn that the dining experience and onboard service did not meet your expectations and detracted from your overall enjoyment of the cruise. We understand how important both the quality of the food and attentive service are to the overall holiday experience, and we regret that these aspects fell short from your perspective. While reviewing feedback from this departure, we noted that the meals provided fell slightly below the high standards we strive to deliver to our guests. Your comments regarding both the food and service have been shared with our team for their review and consideration, as guest feedback plays an important role in helping us identify areas for improvement. While we are pleased that there were elements of the cruise you enjoyed, we are sorry that the overall experience did not feel reflective of the value you expected. Thank you again for your constructive feedback and recommendation. We truly value guest insights as they help us continue to improve our experiences.
We had a lovely time on our Sail Croatia Bike Cruise. I will recommend but with these suggestions. The food on our ship was not great. Edible but poorer quality than I expected. The crew tended to be quite surly and mostly smoked or were on their phones. Our guides were phenomenal and did a fantastic job. They really made the trip. The bikes (we all had e-bikes) were very good quality and easy to use. The scenery was fantastic and luckily we had a large (33 passengers) group but everyone was great and got along well. I would strongly suggest upgrading to premier plus or looking at a higher quality company if good food and a nice ship are important to you.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're delighted to hear that you had a lovely time overall and that the guides, bikes, scenery, and the experience with your fellow travellers helped make it so memorable. We're sorry to hear that the food and onboard service did not fully meet your expectations. We appreciate your comments regarding both the meal quality and your interactions with the crew, and we have already shared this feedback with our team for review and improvements. It's wonderful to hear such positive comments about your guides, who work incredibly hard to create an enjoyable and safe experience for our guests. We're also pleased that you found the e-bikes to be of a high standard and were able to enjoy the stunning Croatian coastline. Thank you again for your constructive feedback and recommendation. We truly value guest insights as they help us continue to improve our experiences.
The cycling itself was great! The island cycling routes are challenging (in a good way) with so many epic views. The ship and (some) crew, however, fell short of expectations. The Dionis boat was old and a bad experience from the start, especially compared to the other boats for the same price (which you walk through & see what you are missing out on). I feel ripped off. Even sail Croatia staff commented on Dionis being the worst! A leaking roof in my cabin, leaking shower, significant slant in my room so my head was lower than my feet in bed, uncomfortable common areas compared to other boats. Very basic, not like in the pictures on the website. Some crew members were not very engaging…seemed like they didn’t want to be there. No help offered with carrying luggage across multiple ships on arrival. Had to ask multiple times for things like a room key for example, or to have the chirping smoked detector fixed. The single supplement fee is outrageous. the food is plentiful but just ok.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re really pleased to hear that you enjoyed the cycling routes and the incredible scenery - this is such a key part of the experience, so it’s great to know this aspect delivered. We’re sad to hear that elements of your onboard experience did not meet expectations. Having reviewed feedback from all travellers on your departure, the ship received an average score of 4.58 out of 5, so it’s disappointing to hear that your personal experience fell short of this, and of what you were expecting from your trip. Dionis is part of our Premier ship category, which offers a comfortable and sociable cruising experience, and we’re sorry to hear that aspects such as your cabin and onboard service did not reflect this for you. Your comments regarding maintenance, comfort, and crew engagement have been shared with our operations team so they can be reviewed directly. I can see at the time of enquiry you requested a Single Supplement to ensure you had a private cabin to yourself, rather than sharing with another guest. With regards to the Single Supplement, this is set at 50% of the per person price across the industry, as cabins are designed to accommodate two guests, and the supplement reflects sole occupancy of that space. For guests seeking a more spacious onboard environment, larger cabins, and additional onboard features, we do offer our Premier Plus ship range on our Cycle Croatia cruises, which may be a better fit depending on preferences and of course budget. Thank you again for your feedback, and we’re glad you were still able to enjoy the cycling and the stunning Croatian islands.
Okay. The food was average despite cooks efforts to prepare and serve quality food. There was no alcohol provided with Captains dinner. Staff were great!

I'm sorry I cannot give a 5 star review. The great things about the ship was the chef, the crew and the facilities. All great - clean, organized, well run. My disappointment was in the lack of excursions on the islands between Dubrovnik and Split. I thought that we should have some kind of introduction to each island and short walking tour each time we docked. Everyday was a swim day and because the water was too cold to swim I had hoped that an adjustment would be made to the schedule for an alternate activity. Perhaps dock earlier to give us some time off the boat. There was too much sitting around time. From breakfast, through lunch there was nothing to do if you did not swim (& no one did). We did not disembark til 2 pm. Our tour dir. did her job perfunctorily and made arrangements as requested, She was not as visible or involved with our group. Although she said she has been doing this for 4 years she came off as unsure and inexperienced.

Provide daily written out itinerary for people to actually read what times and where things were going on. Have an intercom (overhead speaker) so people can be alerted of pertinent info for all passengers. Verbal daily communication from guide was poor on daily activities. Cycle times need to be longer with less “coffee” breaks (30 min ride, 45 min stop) Our guide, was rude. Our other guide, Mario, was great. Overall, first impression of accommodations found that a bed overhead light was broken with wires exposed, safe didn’t work, tight quarters and air conditioning was poor, Reported broken light immediately and it was repaired.. Safe reported not working, told how to use by crew, but those instructions didn’t work….finally found written safe instructions on top shelf (which we couldn’t see beforehand) and was able to get the safe working on our own.. Food was ok. Bikes were outstanding quality….so good, I’m considering purchasing that brand. Swim stops were great.
- Charlene, 29/09/2025 12:51, Travelled with Family
Hi Charlene, Thank you for your detailed feedback and for highlighting the many positives – we’re pleased to know you enjoyed the swim stops, food, guidance from Mario, and the quality of the bikes, which we’re glad to hear impressed you enough to consider purchasing for yourself. We also appreciate your suggestions regarding a written itinerary, intercom, and cycle breaks, which have been passed on to our Operations Team. We are disheartened to read your comments about one of the Guides, as he has consistently received high praise throughout the season. We’re glad the issues with the light and safe were addressed during your stay, and we will share your note about clearer instructions with our team. Your comments are valuable as we continue striving to enhance our guests’ experience.
Improve breakfast offerings, variety and presentation. Offer better quality coffee and tea options. Communication with passengers and kitchen waiting staff. Improve lunch offerings, more vegetables, and meat quality and variety. Serve tables with waiters offering drinks. Have coffee and tea making available during day with biscuits etc The discussion of itinerary to be held prior to lunch service. No smoking on ship for passengers and crew. Provide equal number of deck chairs to passengers. We had 10 deck chairs for 36 passengers and I witnessed a passenger confrontation Set outdoor furniture up for passenger comfort prior to breakfast service
- Alison Simpson , 29/09/2025 12:42, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Alison - Thank you for your feedback, and we hope you enjoyed the beauty of Croatia and discovering its lovely islands. Our chefs always aim to provide a variety of meals using fresh, local produce, even within the limitations of a small ship’s galley. Your comments regarding meals, table service, tea and coffee availability, communication with kitchen staff, and deck chairs have been passed on to our Operations Team for review - we appreciate your input. Please note there are designated smoking areas on board, usually located towards the back of the boat. Looking through our internal records, we understand there was some confusion over breakfast timings, which was quickly addressed with your Rep. We value your comments as they help us continue to review and refine our service as we strive to maintain the high standards.
We had a wonderful week. The staff was amazing, helpful and friendly. The ports and swim stops were unreal. My only negative feedback would be the food. I did not enjoy the food at all. Another negative was how dark the bathrooms are.
- Anonymous, 22/09/2025 09:00, Travelled in a Couple
I would have discounted our room as we were directly over the engine which was ear splitting.y loud, had home made cookies available all day, served better quality salads, had more beach towels for guests, more water toys, I.e., paddle boards nd kayaks and laundry services available. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Linda, 16/09/2025 06:03, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Linda, thank you for your feedback. It's great to hear that you found the staff friendly and helpful! We regret to learn that some aspects didn't meet your expectations. While your Above Deck cabin was located near the engine room, as with all small ship cruises, some engine noise can be experienced – many guests find this a minor part of the authentic sailing experience. We appreciate your feedback and suggestions regarding cookies, salads, beach towels, water toys, and laundry services. Our crew are happy to accommodate where possible and assist in extra towels, more salad and providing recommendations on laundromats. Your comments will be passed on to our team as we continually look for ways to enhance the guest experience. We hope to welcome you back on board for another enjoyable cruise soon!
We specifically picked this boat for the hot tub which never worked for the entire trip. Very disappointed by this. We expected more regional dishes for lunch ie more seafood. Most meals were red meat based. The cabin bathrooms were far from clean. The floor under the sink was filthy and shower grout was in need of a cleaning. Really can’t say enough about the staff, super friendly and helpful and the itinerary was fantastic. All the stops were beautiful.
- Robin, 25/08/2025 00:40, Travelled with Family
Hi Robin, thank you for taking the time to review your cruise with us this season. I am pleased to see your kind words regarding the staff and carefully planned itinerary, it is great to read you enjoyed all of the beauty Croatia has to offer. We appreciate your more constructive feedback on the food. Red meat is very popular in Croatian cuisine, but I will pass your feedback regarding meals on board onto the relevant team. I'm sorry that the hot tub was not working during your cruise with us, Robin. Thank you for joining us this summer!
I enjoyed the week, our leader Vin was very good. I thought there were a lot of hidden costs not very transparent when booking the trip, we had way more inclusions with our last tour we attended with a different company and felt we got more moneys worth with them. Also disappointing that we missed out on two stops due to weather which is understandable however when other sail Croatia ships still go despite what we are being told it does raise some questions. The last day in particular we docked into Dubrovnik port a day early due to weather conditions and then missed out on our swim stop the next day as port authorities wouldn’t let our boat leave? We then found out other sail Croatia boats left for there swim stop which didn’t make much sense, the crew weren’t very transparent with us on the why. The whole last day of our trip was spent docked up, we were told we could go to the beach but then we had to pay 20€ for an uber to get there, frustrating when you pay money to be on a boat.
- Alison, 13/08/2025 06:49, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Alison, thank you for taking the time to review your cruise with us this season. I'm very pleased to read that overall you enjoyed your time in Croatia with us and that your Representative Vin made a positive impression! It is a shame to hear that you have come across hidden costs on your cruise, as we aim to set the right expectations for our guests. Guests can find what to budget for in their Pre-Departure Information as well as the FAQ section of our website - and inclusions are readily available on our product pages online. We understand changes to the itinerary can be frustrating, however these changes are made at the Captains discretion and usually down to safety reasons. We do hope you left with good memories of Croatia and we truly value you taking the time to provide us with your feedback, Alison!

While the crew onboard the Tuna boat were fantastic and did everything they could to make us feel welcome, I was quite disappointed with the overall experience—especially considering the price paid. The boat itself was very underwhelming and didn’t match the standard shown in promotional material or the experiences shared by friends who attended previous years. Their boats were far nicer, with better amenities and meals included. In contrast, we were asked to pay €30 for a BBQ dinner and made to feel bad for opting out. Room arrangements were also poorly communicated. We were told one friend would be in a separate room, which was fine, but only found out the day before that she’d be on a completely different level of the boat—far from us. To make things worse, the route was changed without explanation, and one night we even docked out at sea. This significantly impacted the overall enjoyment of the trip. Given the cost and the inconsistencies, I unfortunately wouldn’t recommend to frie

Thank you for taking the time to review us and for sharing your experience with us! We truly appreciate your feedback. We're so pleased to hear that the crew made you feel welcome and went above and beyond throughout your trip. They work hard to create a positive atmosphere onboard, and your kind words will mean a lot to them. We’re sorry to hear that the overall experience fell short of your expectations. You were accommodated onboard one of our Ensuite ships, which offer comfortable accommodation with private ensuite facilities as advertised. We do offer higher category ships operating on our Navigator cruises such as Premier ships for guests seeking upgraded facilities, however these are accordingly priced at a higher point. On some of the ships the Above Deck cabins are located on 2 levels, i.e. on the main deck and on a top deck. We highlight this information on our website under FAQ's titled ""What is the difference between Above Deck and Lower Deck cabins?. We do understand how disappointing it can be when friends are accommodated on separate levels and we are sad it wasn't possible to accommodate you on the same level in this instance. In terms of any itinerary changes and overnight mooring, our Captains work hard to provide the best possible experience based on weather and port conditions. In light of this, the itinerary and port locations may need to change during the week. We present this information clearly on our website and our Booking Terms so our travellers are well informed prior to travel. We are grateful you travelled with us and have taken the time to share your thoughts. While we are disappointed that you wouldn't recommend us, however we hope you will come visit with us again at another opportunity!
hi! unfortunately, the experience didn't align with what i expected. a few examples... - we were on a sailboat chartered by a company named Sail Croatia, I expected we'd sail at some point. I was disappointed to learn upon boarding that the sails hadn't been raised in years. Instead, we awoke to a running engine every morning. - I expected lots of swimming and time in the water along the Croatian coast. Instead, swimming was limited to just an hour or two per day. - Because the boat didn't have a tinder, we couldn't pull up to beaches on those swim stops and could only exit the boat in larger port cities - Instead of offering hot breakfast for an hour and continental breakfast beyond that, passengers could only access food from 8am-9am and were told to snack on a banana if they missed that short window. the boat captain was wonderful and the crew exceptional, the itinerary and schedule were not.
- gina, 27/06/2025 22:10, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Gina, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re really pleased to hear you had a positive experience with the captain and crew, they will be very happy to hear your kind words. We're however truly sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. As per our website, our vessels are traditional-style sailboats and they primarily operate under engine power for reliability and scheduling purposes. That said, we do offer sailing holidays with our Private Yacht Tours. On these tours, you will use a dinghy to go ashore, to the beach and within secluded bays, so perhaps this was more the experience you were looking for rather than one of our cruises you had booked. In terms of swim stops and beach access, we aim to offer daily swim opportunities, where possible. The ships do need to keep to a schedule, and take into consideration sailing times, weather, port traffic and other activities planned, so the time guests have to swim from the ship does need to be limited. Once the ship arrives into port, the islands have many beaches and locations for swimming, so guests can go for a further swim if they choose to do so. As for the breakfast timing, we’re sorry you felt it was too limited. I will be sure to pass these comments onto our Operations Team in Croatia. Thank you again for your review Gina!
Whilst I enjoyed the Sail Croatia cruise, it was disappointing in a lot of ways and I definitely wouldn't do it again. The crew and boat/activities manager were fantastic. They were super friendly and helpful. Shout out to Ivana who was amazing! The food served on board was average for I would have expected for what we paid. The boat lacked atmosphere in the sense that they dont play music, which in Croatia I read that music is a big part of their culture so I expected to have the ambience of soft Croatian music playing whilst on the boat, towards the end they started to play some after getting the hint. I am disappointed that Hvar is listed on the website that it has an "incredible nightlife". The island has since changed but should not continue to be faulsely advertised by SailCroatia. I also find it offensive to be expected to give tips after dropping $6,000 aud on a cruise, Sail Croatia you should pay your excellent staff a proper wage and not expect tourist's to do it for you.
- Mikaela , 09/06/2025 14:42, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Miki, Thank you for your review. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed your Sail Croatia cruise overall, especially your fantastic Tour Manager, crew, and the facilities onboard, which exceeded your expectations. We have a thorough process in place for handling complaints onboard, which includes raising any concerns with your Tour Manager and, if needed, escalating them to our customer service team so we can address them promptly. This process is outlined in your pre-departure documents and on the Sail Croatia app. We’ve reviewed our internal records and found no report of your concerns during the trip, and it appears the complaints process was not followed. Unfortunately, we’re unable to resolve issues that aren’t brought to our attention at the time. We’re sorry to hear the food wasn’t to your liking. We’ve reviewed feedback from your specific cruise and found the average food rating was 4.3/5 from fellow guests, though we understand experiences can vary and appreciate your input. Your comments regarding the music onboard have been shared with our operations team for review. Hvar is well known for its nightlife, beaches and waterfront restaurants, and offers well-known spots like Hula Hula Bar and Nautica Bar (famous for their flaming Jäger trains), along with a range of other vibrant nightlife options just a short walk from the port. Information on tipping - including guidelines on etiquette and suggested amounts - is available on our website, in pre-departure documents, and on the Sail Croatia App. Given the information provided in advance of your cruise, we were surprised to hear that the tipping process was unexpected. Tipping, while not customary in countries like Australia and New Zealand, is widely practised and appreciated in Croatia and across Europe. Many locals rely on the summer tourism season to earn the majority of their annual income, and while we pay all our staff a fair and competitive wage, tipping is a customary and appreciated way to acknowledge good service. It’s always optional but very much valued. Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback.
More comfortable seating and a shaded area on the top deck More time in port - the water is cold in early May so swimming isn’t a good activity. If the ship can’t dock earlier, the option of getting a water taxi or tender to port should be an option. Excursions were over-priced
- Anonymous, 06/06/2025 03:42, Travelled with Family
It was evident from the start the crew member had no experience and very little English. He didn't even know what vodka was. Apparently the fridge was down so we couldn't get ice or cold white wine. Beer was ok. He did not bring drinks during the meals and did not know how to clear dishes. Food was good but cold. Cabin was good but our toilet in ran the entire week although we had asked crew to fix it 4 times. We turned off the water to the tank between uses. We would have preferred to travel to our locations in the evening instead of waking up to engines starting at 5:30:or 6:00 am every day!

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your review of our services! We truly value all feedback as it helps us to continuously improve and ensure the best possible service for our guests. We are pleased you enjoyed the food and found your cabin comfortable. That is so great to read! Upon checking our internal reports, there were no reports of issues regarding running water in the toilet. We have a rigorous process in place for any issues that arise onboard, which is outlined in your pre-departure information. Following this process ensures that no incident is left unreported and gives us the best chance to resolve this during the cruise for you. We thank you for your comments regarding the service challenges — particularly the language barrier and lack of drink service. Please be reassured that your feedback had been passed on to our relevant teams. We also appreciate your comments about the cruise schedule and understand your preference for evening travel. However as advertised, our cruises are small ship cruises and not a big cruise liner that travel during the night. We would recommend our travellers to do extensive research prior to booking in order to have a good understanding of the product. We are a UK-based company with Sales Teams in London (UK) and Australia and we are there to provide support with any questions that arise during the booking process. Thank you once again for reviewing us and for taking the time to provide your feedback.
I felt that while the guides did an exemplary job. The large number of cyclists (29) in the group was dangerous. The group should have been split into two. Complimentary tea and coffee while on board would have been appreciated. Other cycling tours we’ve been on gave out water bottles which are fun to have and a source of advertising for the company.
- Marion, 12/05/2025 10:51, Travelled with Family
Hi Marion, thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re really pleased to hear that you found our guides exemplary - their passion and professionalism are something we’re proud of. Regarding your concern about the group size, we understand that safety is a top priority, and it is for us also. That’s why we always ensure there are two experienced guides on each ride – one leading at the front and one supporting at the back – to manage the group effectively and maintain safety throughout the journey. We appreciate your suggestions about complimentary refreshments and branded water bottles. These are great ideas, and we’re always looking for ways to enhance our guests’ experience, so your input has been noted for future planning. Thank you again for riding with us – we value your insights and hope to welcome you back on another tour soon.
1. The wifi should work better. 2. For the price of the trip, I expected that we would have access to a good coffee machine 24/7. The urns provided were not satisfactory. 3. The excursions were overpriced. 4. The “included” tour of Dubrovnik should have included a bus to take passengers to the old town. 5. There should be enough treats during the coffee and tea hour (11-12) so everyone has a chance to get a snack. 6. The staff were friendly. 7. The boat was well kept. 8. Our rooms were kept clean. 9. The price of wine (bottles and glasses) were overpriced. 10. The captain’s dinner was very nice. It would have been better if wine was included.

Hi there, thank you for your review! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the friendly staff, cleanliness of the ship, and the Captain’s Dinner. However, we are sorry to hear of your disappointment with some aspects. In regards to the Wi-Fi, it is subject to download limits and coverage can be inconsistent while out at sea. We aim to provide as much informaiton for the excursions offered and details are transparently outlined on our website. We appreciate your comments on the coffee machine. Coffee and tea is available during saloon hours, with additional snacks upon request. We strive for competitive drink prices and appreciate your suggestion of including wine with the Captain’s Dinner. Your feedback is valuable, and we appreciate all your comments, thank you.
The whole schedule felt very rushed. Once we reached each island we invariably had very little time to enjoy the destination of our cycle ride - which at times was quite arduous especially for those without e-bikes - before returning to the boat for lunch. The food provided was generally poor with limited fruit available at breakfast and no means of keeping the hot food hot for anyone who didn’t arrive at breakfast promptly at the start. The three course meal served at lunchtime with a hot main seemed totally inappropriate when a more relaxed cold buffet would have been preferred by most on board. Sometimes we were given no time to explore particular port as we had to cycle to the other side of the island to meet the boat in time for lunch and there were no impromptu swim stops off the boat as shown in your videos. On the whole I did really enjoy the week - the crew and guides were excellent although a little more flexibility from the captain would have been appreciated.
- Deborah, 30/09/2024 15:33, Travelled in a Couple
Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us with your detailed feedback. We are happy to hear that you really enjoyed the week overall and appreciated the efforts of our crew and guides. This September has been unusually challenging weather-wise, and our team worked hard to adapt routes to ensure we could still deliver a great cycling experience. We are sorry that due to the unusually poor weather conditions, swim stops were not possible and that at times, you felt the schedule was rushed. Regarding food provided onboard, our chefs aim to provide a variety of meals using fresh, local produce, and we have found with the small kitchen space onboard the 3 courses work best and produce less food waste than lunch buffets. We generally receive high ratings for our onboard meals - with a score of 4.64 out of 5 throughout the entire 2024 season on our Premier Ships. We do however appreciate all of your feedback which has been passed on to the relevant teams so we can continue to improve our services. Thank you again, and we hope to welcome you onboard again in the future.
Travelled with a group of 12. Overall a great experience,. Although, we all felt rushed when riding , I can appreciate that when on a boat there are things we don’t know that may cause the riding time to be rushed, like having to deal with weather and docking times. These things should be taken in to consideration when choosing routes and times of riding. More time for sightseeing and swimming would have made my experience a lot better. The crew and guides did an amazing job. Would definitely refer friends to Sail Croatia.

Breakfast hours to be extended with better coffee, too weak! Shouldn’t have to purchase at ar to get good coffee. Overall the food needs improvement, meat was overcooked & repetitive. Also need to provide water in the cabins to be readily available especially through the night. Cabins could use updating, get rid of carpeting. Also replace lumpy pillows & improve mattress. Also provide snacks outside of meal hours or to purchase at bar. Lastly Captain’s dinner is nice idea but the entertainment overtook everything & too long, people couldn’t socialize as a result of being too loud. Our cruise Director & staff were good to us

The trip exceeded my expectations in some respects - we had the most wonderful crew who went out of their way to navigate around bad weather to ensure we could continue to cycle. They went beyond their call of duty. The aspects I believe could have been better in particular, is the food. The offering is tremendous in quantity but lacks sophistication and creativity. I was looking forward to having a Mediterranean experience but if fell short. Why serve mostly apples and bananas when figs and grapes were in season and readily available. The coffee machine was not working, and no cappuccinos was on offer but rather just brewed coffee. I trust that effort in this area could go a long way to improve the overall experience. All in all, it was an enjoyable trip in a wonderful country with exquisite crew members.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about your recent trip with us. We are thrilled to hear that the experience exceeded your expectations in several areas, particularly the outstanding efforts of our crew. They take great pride in providing the best possible service, and it’s wonderful to know they were able to make your trip enjoyable, even in challenging weather conditions. We sincerely appreciate your feedback regarding the food. While we strive to offer a generous selection, we do take your feedback onboard regarding incorporating seasonal fruits such as figs and grapes. Great suggestion! We regret the inconvenience caused by the coffee machine and the absence of cappuccinos during your trip. We do understand how important quality coffee is to many of our guests. Your insights are invaluable to us as we constantly work to enhance the overall experience, and we hope to welcome you back in the future. Thank you again for choosing us, and for your thoughtful feedback.
The so called premier ship was nothing like, much smaller than expected, the cabins were small and several needed attention. However the Captain and crew were very good at their job with boat and passenger safety spot on. They were all very friendly and helpful, with the male crew having to man handle over 30 bikes on and off the boat at every port, well done them. The cycle tours were rather disappointing as there were over 30 cyclist of varying ability, the front runners would be way ahead leaving the slower ones way behind. Not enough stops to enjoy the wonderful scenery and a chance for photos, ☹️ 25.00€, in cash, per person to enter the Mljet National Park, bit steep to cycle around the lakes, no stops to enjoy! Cycle guides would stop and give a little talk about the history of which ever island we were on. The food on the boat was OK but far too much at lunch time, so lots of waste, shame. The weather was not the best but that is not a fault! ⛈️ It was an experience for sure!
- Cymraes, 22/09/2024 13:23, Travelled in a Couple
Dear Cymraes, Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you appreciated the professionalism of our captain and crew, as well as their efforts with the bikes. Our Cycle Cruises are designed to accommodate all levels of cyclists, from beginners to advanced. By providing two guides - one at the front and one at the back - we aim to ensure everyone can cycle at their own pace. We're sorry to hear that you felt there weren’t enough opportunities to stop for photos. We will share this with the relevant department for review, and we appreciate your input on this. Mljet National Park is spectacular and definitely worth the visit. We advise on our website that the entrance fee is at an additional cost and payable locally. We’re disappointed to hear about the issues with the meals, as this is not reflective of the experience we aim to provide. We hope to welcome you back, with better weather, to experience another Cycle adventure.
More info ahead of time about boarding place and process. Better communication about the agenda, activities etc. Maybe a "white board" with cycling distances, times, degree of difficulty, planned stops etc. Also, more info ahead for non cyclists and which stops we were having dinner on our own. Announcements were not made ahead of time and were difficult to hear with engines running. More time to explore port towns. Especially Brac....no time after the ride to see the port. Food and crew were fantastic. Trip was fantastic and the rides were great
- merci, 13/09/2024 10:25, Travelled with Friend/s
At the end of our trip we were told that they had to hire two extra boats as they had over booked on yacht’s. The boat we were provided with did not have glass doors at the entrance which meant that the aircon did not stay indoors where as in the other non hired boats the air would be trapped in. This meant that it was very hot at night which was very annoying as we had paid extra for the aircon. It was also tricky having the skipper sleep in the lounge room as we couldn’t use that space later for group activities where light was required. Upstairs, there was no light on the deck table on our boat unlike the other boats, so it made playing card games with the group tricky and harder to bond with the others in the group. As soon as we entered the boat there was this smell of sewerage that did not leave the boat the entire trip to the point that the skipper had to buy spray to cover the smell.

Dear Sarah, Thank you for sharing your feedback on your recent Flotilla Tour with us. We’d like to confirm that the yachts used during your tour had been in operation throughout the season and were not added at the last minute. It is quite common in Croatia and across the sailing industry for skippers to sleep in the salon area on these types of yacht tours. We also appreciate your suggestions regarding the air conditioning and the need for additional lighting in the cockpit area. Your feedback is invaluable as we continually seek to improve our guests' experience. Thank you once again, and we hope to welcome you aboard for another memorable trip in the future. Kind regards,
Booking system, we booked 6 mths in advanced, requested an above cabin but was told none available, several passengers got above cabin and only booked weeks in advance. Also check the actual names on the booking, we were husband and wife, they thought 2 females so got single beds! Food - very basic, military/camp style. Lots of hearty foods for colder weather, minimal salads or fresh foods, it was summer! It doesn't take much to be creative and add some flare to the meals - fresh herbs, chopped fresh fruit not tinned fruit salad!!!!! Cocktails - needs attention to detail - use proper cocktail glasses, get the fruit and decorations, make it an experience we want to repeat. Also very costly, if cheaper with flare more would have been bought. Option for more group activities, especially in the evenings. Offer group dinner on the last night. I'm sure there are plenty of restaurants in Split that would welcome a group of 30+ or you have a business relationship with that could offer this.

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent Sail Croatia Cycle Cruise. We truly appreciate the time you've taken to provide your thoughts, as it helps us to understand where we can make improvements and enhance the experience for our guests. At the time of your booking, we only had Lower Deck cabins available which is what you booked. Our availability does change quickly based on any cancellations and new bookings that we receive, so we always encourage our travellers to check back with us in case of an opening. It is also possible to upgrade whilst on the cruise when there is availability. You simply needed to liaise with your onboard representative who would have been happy to facilitate this for you. We apologize for the mix-up regarding the genders of your travelling party. We will ensure that our team is more attentive to such details to avoid similar situations. This however had no bearing regarding the bed type in your cabin as any particular bedding needs to be requested to us as a preference. I have checked our correspondence with yourself and I was unable to locate any double bed preference advised to our sales team. We appreciate your feedback on the food selection. Our aim is to provide meals that cater to a wide range of tastes and dietary needs, but we understand that in summer, guests may prefer lighter options. We do appreciate your suggestions for more group activities, particularly in the evenings, and the idea of a group dinner on the final night is fantastic. We have certainly passed all your comments to our relevant teams as these insights and suggestions will help us improve, and we look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back on board in the future.
I would’ve liked more opportunity on land to explore the islands, especially when we were docked at a port that was not in the town. Or the opportunity to get a water taxi in to explore i.e. Stari Grad.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent Sail Croatia Navigator cruise. We truly appreciate your feedback and are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your experience with us. We understand that having more opportunities to explore the beautiful islands is important to you. Our team is always striving to enhance our itineraries, ensuring that our guests have ample time to discover the unique charm and beauty of each destination. We value your input and hope to welcome you back on board soon. Your insights help us to create unforgettable experiences for all our guests. Thank you once again for your valuable feedback.
Overall I was quite satisfied with our boat, including our cabin. The crew members were friendly and helpful as were the leaders of the cycling trips. who did an amazing job, both on land and on sea. Areas where I would like to see improvement include having a Keurg in the dining area where it would be possible to get a cup of coffee earlier than a half hour before breakfast. Provide the cooked breakfast food hot. Lighter entrees with local seasonings would improve lunch entrees. A glass of wine served with the Captain's Dinner would be appropriate. Name tags for all should be provided and worn at least early in the trip. Include the day, Monday, Tuesday, etc., along with the name of the Island and towns where there will be stops. I hope my suggestions are helpful.
- Elaine, 24/06/2024 10:58, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Elaine. Thank you for your 3-star review on our Cycle cruise - we are pleased to hear that you were satisfied with your cabin and the boat overall, and that you found our crew and Cycle guides to be friendly and helpful. We appreciate your suggestions for improvements and will certainly consider them as we strive to enhance our guest experience. Your ideas, such as providing an early coffee option, ensuring hot breakfast foods, offering lighter entrees, serving a glass of wine with the Captain's Dinner, providing name tags, and including the day of the week, are all valuable insights. Thank you once again for your constructive feedback. We hope to welcome you back on board for another memorable cruise in the future.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves sailing through the open water and swimming in the most beautiful spots. The boat was charming and the cabins (and en-suite) were clean and spacious enough. We went on numerous excursions (top 3 - canyoning, wine tasting and bike ride) but thought most were overpriced (€20-80) and could have gotten cheaper local deals. Additionally, there were a number of unexpected and unavoidable transfers, taxis/buses to pay for (€6-10 each). Meals on board were tasty, except if you were vegetarian (don’t expect any variety). The crew was polite, yet did not engage with us. The owner, Marjan warmly welcomed us on his ship, made the best pina-coladas & was a sniper at beer pong. Our rep Luiis was the friendliest and funniest guide who made sure we enjoyed ourselves every step of the way. He excels at relating to people and trying to meet guest expectations. Would sail with Marijan and Luiis again, but not convinced of the benefit of the Sail Croatia brand.
- Michaela, 19/06/2024 17:04, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Michael,a, thank you for your detailed feedback and for sharing your positive experiences on our trip. We're delighted that you enjoyed sailing around the Adriatic, swimming, the excursions, and the hospitality of Marjan and Luiis. Our Navigator cruises are aimed at those aged 18-39 years, so there will be travellers onboard within this age range. We aim to ensure a good mix on all our ships, athough it depends on who has booked any given date, taking into consideration solo travellers, genders, groups, and couples. Details about excursions are found on our website and the inclusions and further information are provided in our pre-departure materials. Our Sales Team is always available to answer any questions you may have to help with budgeting purposes. We thank you for your comments and we hope that you were able to enjoy your time overall.
A number of the excursions were cancelled and there was no replacements or suggestions to do. This was very disappointing as we specifically booked the trip for the excursions. The limited excursions that were offered were very disappointing.
- Kate, 17/06/2024 11:26, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Kate, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us and for providing 5-star ratings for the crew and boat in general, it is appreciated. The excursions offered are through 3rd party providers and changes can occur at any time. We understand that excursions are a significant part of the experience, and we regret any inconvenience caused by their cancellation. It's great to see from your feedback you were able to enjoy other aspects of the cruise.
I had friends who previously did sail Croatia and told me about all these amazing parties and events . When I got on board and asked my host about these she informed me that the Cave Party in Makasaka wasn’t open and wouldn’t be happening (this was one of the reasons I booked with this company) there was no communication from the company prior to our trip to inform us of this. Even though they knew it wasn’t open as it was start of season. There also was no theme night on board the ship which we were under the impression there would be since it is quite commonly posted on social media amongst participants. We didn’t know anything that was happening until the day of which was stressful and made taking money out become a daily task. I do not like the fact that everything had to be in cash and there was all these extra hidden charges on excursions that were not explained before we left! Overall pretty disappointed in the sail Croatia company. Enjoyed my time but wasn’t as much fun.
- Chloe, 13/06/2024 08:15, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Chloe, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and we appreciate your 5-star rating for the Rep, Boat in General, Meals served and Crew. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your time on the cruise. We are disheartened to hear of your disappointment regarding the Cave Party and theme night. As the themed parties are through external providers, we do not have control over their operating times or schedules as these can change at any time. We understand that dealing with daily cash requirements can be frustrating, and we will strive to provide clear communication and transparency in these areas by highlighting additional costs on our website and in our pre-departure information.Your feedback is valuable to us, and we will use it to enhance our services and ensure a better experience for future travelers. We appreciate your understanding and are glad to hear that you still enjoyed your time despite any issues experienced.
Great group of people and some awesome experiences. Not all of them were running as it wasn't peak season and we weren't notified about this until the day of. In a whole it was a good time but communication could have been improved

If we could have been able to book better mountain bikes ..
- Kathleen, 20/05/2024 21:10, Travelled in a Couple
We, as well as other guests, did NOT likethe food at all. Breakfast was good but the lunches were horrible. No fresh vegetables, all vegetables were frozen and mushy. Purées of I’m not sure what we’re always cold. Lasagna was good. A woman who only eats fish got what looked like frozen fish fingers. Basically the food was awful at lunch. The captains dinner was interrupted by Kara allowing the TV in for the rugby game Which followed by yelling and screaming. My husband had words with Klara. We left the dining room. It was ridiculous……chairs turned around toward the tv and we weren’t finished the main course. The partying that followed went on with very loud music and singing until after 1am. I think there were some complaints from other boats. The crew were always smoking at the window of the bar. The swim stops were amazing as were the islands and klara was a very good organizer. Would not recommend at this time.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to review our services and provide us with your further feedback. We are very pleased to hear you have enjoyed the swim stops, destinations that you have visited and that your representative was a very good organiser. We thank you for these kind comments. We also appreciate your comments regarding the food and atmosphere onboard during the rugby game. We are disappointed to hear that you found the food provided was not of the expected high standard. We will be sure to pass these comments to our operations team so improvements can be made. Any big sporting event be it football or rugby brings some excitement all around - we are sorry to hear this was not managed to your liking. Smoking is only permitted at outdoor, designated areas and if one notices anything different, we welcome reporting this to the Onboard Representative. Thank you for joining us and for your feedback.
Unfortunately night one we were stuck in the port due to bad weather. Everyone was left to fend for themselves with little information other than the boat should depart the following morning. Upon returning from dinner several people were still sitting on the boat with no room allocation. There was little to no communication as to when we could take our bags to our allocated rooms. The Sail Croatia representitive disappeared for several hours and it did not start off well. The entire crew energy felt tired and like they just wanted to be somewhere else. Positives from the trip - The food was excellent up until the last day. Things that can be improved to make everyones time better utilised - Each day our Sail Croatia Representitive would give a detailed speach about the port/town we were arriving into and the local things on offer. This was also provided in a WhatsApp message. Google Map links would be beneficial along with pre-booking activies like bikes/scooters. Most tours close 3pm
- Anonymous, 05/10/2023 23:21, Travelled in a Couple
Hi there! Thank you for your 3-star review. We appreciate all your comments and are really pleased to hear you enjoyed the meals served and the detailed daily speeches, thank you. The safety and wellbeing of all our guests is paramount, and due to bad weather the boat spent the first night in Dubrovnik. This was also communicated by your Onboard Rep. We understand during your week there were extreme weather conditions which is very unfortunate. Upon checking our internal reports, we can confirm that all rooms were allocated before lunch and guests were advised that rooms will be ready by 12:30pm. This was communicated by the Onboard Rep. Please note that the cruise starts at 1pm and the Onboard Rep was onboard to assist. On our Sail Croatia App, which is highlighted in your pre-departure information, it provides map links and location details, which comes in handy during your cruise. This is a great tool to use whilst in Croatia and has many resources. We appreciate your suggestions and welcome all your comments, thank you. We hope you enjoyed your time in Croatia and we thank you for choosing to travel with us this season.
Rooms could be updated with fresh paint and new beds. Bedding and towels need replacing. The bike tour guide should have more small bike tools that riders could use to adjust to their own bike to suit size rather than waiting for guide to do. I felt lunch was too big as it was dinner style. most people preferred lighter food for lunch.
- Shirley, 27/09/2023 19:30, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Shirley! Thank you for your 3-star review. It's great to see from the feedback you provided, that you enjoyed other aspects of the cruise and would recommend us, that's wonderful, thank you! There is a mid-weekly cleaning service where towels and bedding are changed, and rubbish is removed. If guests are in need of further towels, these can be provided upon request. Prior to your cruise, we request height details and each bicycle is adjusted and tailored to match your height. In regards to the bike tools, our guides will have these available if needed and they can be requested for personal use. As for the meals, we understand that strenuous cycling each day requires proper nourishment, due to this we offer hearty 3-course lunches to fuel you for your cycling adventures. In saying this, we appreciate your comments and suggestions, and these will be shared with the relevant team for continual improvements.
When you travel and are doing rigorous exercise everyday in the heat more than a two towel per week seems necessary. Also the towels were all very old. The bedding needs more frequent changing. The bike ride difficulty needs more specific disclosure. Three hours in the saddle is a long time. Provide beach towels, more fresh vegetables. Also snacks for long hard rides, the riders without e bikes could have used it.
- Jayne, 25/09/2023 01:15, Travelled with Family
Hi Jayne, Thank you for taking the time to review your cruise with us this summer. We are so pleased to hear you found our guides to be wonderful! Thank you for your further feedback which has been passed on to the relevant departments. All information regarding the itinerary and level of difficulty each day can be found on our website and is available before making the selection and booking. Our experienced sales consultants are also available for any questions that may arise during the booking process and assist with making informed decisions. Thank you so much for joining us!
Had a good time on sail and enjoyed my time sailing through Croatia. Had a great group on board and an amazing sail crew on the boat. However, we got unlucky with wind and rain while sailing which limited swimming and excursions. Also got unlucky with a tour guide who showed little interest in making it a good time on the boat. He had no sense of fun and poor organisation and communication of daily activities. In my time travelling through Europe being on several short and long tours, he was the most disappointing tour guide I’ve ever had. Overall, I was very thankful to have a great group of other travellers on board who were keen to have fun and make best of an average situation.
- Courtney , 06/09/2023 11:01, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Courtney, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are pleased to know you enjoyed your time in Croatia with your fellow travellers and amazing crew. The safety and well-being of our customers is important to us, and we understand that weather-related itinerary changes are made at times, which can result in limited swimming time - we do hope you were able to enjoy some of the amazing local beaches during the week. We are disheartened to read your comments regarding your Rep as we pride ourselves on having the best local and experienced Reps that provide helpful information and recommendations to enhance your journey, and we are pleased your rep was rated 4.4 out of 5 stars for your week. We thank you for all your comments and we hope that you will consider giving us another opportunity to provide you with a more enjoyable cruise experience in the future.
Boat was fantastic Route and swim stops great Food was excessive at lunch time. Would have preferred a lite lunch with more fresh salads and sandwich type options. Breakfast were good, but coffee service could have been better. I got food poisoning from the captains dinner and missed a day of the trip. Staff made no apology or did not check on my health. That was disappointing and really didn’t end my trip well. I also think six nights would have been better and we should have finished when we arrived in Dubrovnik. Thanks
- Marisa, 05/09/2023 12:10, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Marisa,Thank you for your review. It's great to hear you enjoyed the boat, route and swim stops. All cruises include 3-course lunches which is usually a starter, main and dessert - I'm sorry to hear you were unhappy with the lunches served, our chefs aim to provide a variety of meals using fresh, local produce. Thank you for your comments on the breakfasts you enjoyed, and we appreciate your comments regarding the coffee. Our chefs and kitchen staff follow strict food hygiene and cleanliness protocols to ensure the safety and quality of the meals we serve on board. Upon checking our internal reports we can confirm that there have been no reported cases among our passengers or crew during the period of your cruise. From our reports I can see that our Waiter offered help, and our Rep checked in with you when you were feeling unwell and offered medical assistance however, we didn't receive a response. From the feedback you provided at the end of your cruise, we're pleased you enjoyed other aspects of the cruise and would recommend us to others. Thank you.
We felt the boat needed maintenance. The bathroom sink leaked and the shower sprayed water everywhere but on your body. Apart from that it was amazing. thank you
- Arlene, 05/09/2023 06:27, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Arlene, Thank you for taking the time to review your cruise with us this summer. We are so pleased to hear you had an amazing time on board, this is wonderful! I will be sure to pass your comments regarding maintenance on to the Operations Manager as I can see from our internal reporting system these were not raised whilst you were on board, so thank you for bringing this to our attention now so that the crew can fix these issues immediately. Many thanks for a fantastic week on board!
Croatia as a country was amazing and beautiful. However, the sail was disappointing. Our representative was not very engaging and for the price you pay, you don’t get a lot for it. Considering you pay prior, the drinks at the bar are expensive and ‘happy hour’ is only 10% off which isn’t worth it. They offered limited water and if you wanted a bottle of water you had to pay. Even when unwell, there is no bottled water that is accessible and you are not able to bring bottles from off the boat. As a couple, we were given two single beds and other groups of friends that requested single beds were in rooms with doubles. Overall, not worth the price you pay and we weren’t very satisfied and actually left the boat early due to being unwell and not being able to access cold water.
- Nikita, 04/09/2023 05:18, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Nikita, thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your time in Croatia and its beautiful coastline. However, we are disappointed to learn of your lack of enjoyment onboard. The drinks prices are set per ship and an estimated price list is available for your perusal via our website. The bedding configurations onboard our Navigator cruises are not confirmed until 1 week prior to departure, and these can either be made up of; bunk bed, twin bed or double bed configurations. I can see that a double bed wasn't requested in this instance. In regards to the water cooler, water is available onboard this boat 24/7 from outside the saloon area and you are welcome to re-use your own water bottle. Upon checking our internal reports, I can see that our Onboard representative had tried to make you as comfortable as possible whilst your partner was unwell by bringing tea and water to your cabin, and even offering further medical assistance - we hope that he has made a full recovery.
Aircon was not working properly and the bedroom fascilities were terrible. No changing of sheets, towels or pillows when we were in a HEAT WAVE and many on board were sick was not good. Whole experience was uncomfortable. Chef also prepared wintery hot meals when we were in a HEAT WAVE. Very disspointed with the experience.
- A, 03/09/2023 14:02, Travelled in a Couple
Hi A, thank you for your review. We are disheartened to hear of your experience and we hope that you were able to enjoy other aspects of your cruise. Our Premier ships include a mid-week cabin service which includes rubbish removal, floor and bathroom cleaned and a bed linen change. Additional towels can be provided upon request. All cruises include 3-course lunches which is usually a starter, main and dessert - I'm sorry to hear you were unhappy with the meals served, our chefs aim to provide a variety of meals using fresh, local produce and we are pleased to see that the overall feedback rating for the meals served during your week was rated 4.6 out of 5 stars. We understand that there was another group onboard who experienced sickness for less than 24 hours, due to reasons not relating to the cruise. Upon checking our internal reports, there were no reports of issues with the air-conditioning onboard. We have a rigorous process in place for any issues that arise onboard, which is outlined in your pre-departure information. Following this process ensures that no incident is left unreported and gives us the best chance to resolve this during the cruise for you. Again we thank you for your feedback, and we hope you enjoyed your time in Croatia as a whole.
Better beds & pillows Need more choice with food Need tea /coffee availability
- Karen, 29/08/2023 16:52, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi there Karen, thank you for taking the time to review your cruise with us this summer and provide us with further feedback.
The food was not that appetising - less boat group meals preferred- would like more solo/ on shore time for meals
- Louise, 27/08/2023 06:53, Travelled in a Couple
The food quality and choice needs to improve. Some staff need further training to be client facing - ***** in particular needs to better understand and demonstrate basic customer service etiquette. Mia - the tour guide was outstanding and is the reason for the 3rd star. We met some delightful people and formed what be expect to be lasting friendships with other passengers.
- Leanne, 23/08/2023 13:44, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Leanne, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with us this season. We are pleased to read you formed some special connections with your fellow travellers and I am sure these will last a lifetime, how wonderful to read. Please rest assured we do appreciate your feedback and I will be sure to pass your comments on to the relevant teams. Many thanks for joining us this season.
We loved the cruise but what brought the star rating down for us was the daily smell of sewage in our cabin. We complained twice daily about the smell. Going to our cabin was not a pleasure. Certain cabins were worse off than others. AUD $7,500 for a week to cruise and smell waste in your sleeping area is poor!
- Felicity, 18/08/2023 17:32, Travelled in a Couple
Dear Felicity, thank you for your review and for joining us this summer in Croatia. We are so pleased to read you had a wonderful time with us on board. I'm sorry to hear this, so I did investigate this further for you and can see the issue was resolved swiftly by the crew that same day, which is great. I understand your Rep Boris explained, at times if there is bad weather, smell can occur in the bathroom emitting from the shower drains. This is due to the movement of the ships on the water whereby this movement opens up airflow at the back of the pipe and into the bathroom. We are sorry about this and wish to thank you for joining us for a fantastic week on board!
Whilst Croatia is absolutely beautiful, prepare yourself for the low quality of the boat and the extremely tiny confines of your room. Our shower, if you could call it that, didn’t even have a holder on the wall, you had to hold it yourself like a tap and shower on top of the toilet. The smell in the bathroom was horrific and with three people crammed in a room hardly fit for one person, it was certainly an experience. The tour leader and crew however were absolutely lovely and made the experience more bareable. If you’re not into budget travelling, sail Croatia is not for you.
- Keiran, 14/08/2023 13:10, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your review. We appreciate your kind words about the tour leader and crew, and we're glad they were able to enhance your journey. We are disheartened to hear of your disappointment with the accommodation. It's important to us that our guests have a comfortable stay. We would like to mention that our Ensuite cabins are of a similar size to the Standard cabins, and our website provides images that depict the layout of the bathrooms, including the shower over the sink. We regret that you didn't have an optimal experience, but we encourage guests to notify us of any issues during their cruise, as our team is always ready to address concerns promptly. Our resolution process aims to ensure guest satisfaction, and had we been informed during your cruise, we would have taken immediate steps to find a suitable solution. Thank you for all your comments and thank you for travelling with us this season.
Loves the boat and the crew and our host, Ivanna, was amazing, however food overall, cabin service change over, and upfrontness about our cabin, specifically, could be much improved. Pleasantly surprised at breakfast as more options than we were expecting, however, lunch service was very hit or miss. More vegetables at each meal, ability to know what the meal was ahead of time, in order to decide if we wanted to partake, as well as more snack options available through swim stops. Advised to not bring food on board but ledt hungry with no options until port. Enjoyed captains dinner but wished it had been during a different port that had limited dining. Stari Grad had great options we wanted to enjoy but due to planned dinner, missed, while other ports, such as Pomena, had very limited options. As for cabin, size, privacy, ensuite bathroom, and bed were great, but dealt with such heavy fumes with no way to air out and then had terrible pipe issue that could be proactively managed.
- Britney, 14/08/2023 10:01, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Britney, thank you for your review. We greatly appreciate your positive feedback about the boat, cabin, crew, and Ivanna, our wonderful host. We're glad to hear you enjoyed your daily breakfasts, and upon checking our internal records, I can see that the fumes issue was resolved promptly after following our resolution process - thank you for following this process. We are also pleased to acknowledge your valuable feedback on our food service, Captain's Dinner and cabin experience. Your suggestions about meal options, and snack availability are noted, and we'll consider these for future improvements. The location of the Captain's dinner can vary as there are a number of factors that contribute to the location however, you will always be updated by your Onboard Representative once the location is confirmed. Your insights are important to us, and we're committed to enhancing your overall experience. We hope to welcome you back aboard in the future, providing you with an even more enjoyable journey.
being able to get new clean towels for showering would of been good as the rooms and bathrooms get so disgusting especially since there are no curtains on the showers so water gets everywhere. i didn’t expect the drinks to be as expensive as they were. the crew was great regardless of these factors.
- Anonymous, 07/08/2023 12:55, Travelled with Family
Hi there and thank you for taking the time to review our cruise. We are really pleased to hear you had a great time onboard, thank you. We understand that towels can get dirty during the cruise, upon request the crew will be able to provide an additional towel. We understand budgeting is important for guests, so we have a few readily available blogs available on our website which details approximate drink prices onboard our ships. Great to hear that these issues didn't detract from your overall enjoyment on the cruise. Thank you for choosing to travel with us this season and we hope to have you join us again in the future.
Im just curious where my $1700AUD actually went. I understand maintenance, docking, wages etc of the ship is probably more than I anticipate. But the rooms were tiny, no space for luggage. Food was atrocious, i didnt bother eating it half the time. It would Not have Been Hard to offer a shower towel, or spare linen. I slept in my own sweat, salt and dirt for 7 days. We also had to pay for all transfers (water taxi, buses etc) even when I saw they were affiliated with Sail Croatia. Don’t get me wrong, I had an amazing week that I will never forget - but it’s the other customers on the boat that have made the trip memorable, not the company Sail Croatia itself. If all 30 people on that boat paid $1700AUD, that is over $50,000 AUD, which you are making every week. And for what? We still had to tip all the staff on the boat After as well because they rely on Tips. Like I said, the people on this trip made it worth it, not the company. Thanks for a fun week, lots to be improved on though
- Erica, 07/08/2023 09:51, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Erica, thank you for taking the time to review your cruise with us this summer. It is wonderful to read you had an amazing week on board and made some friends for life! I am quite disappointed to see some points did not live up to your expectations. Inclusions and any additional costs can be found on the Navigator cruise page, your pre-departure information and the FAQs section on the website to allow guests to budget ahead of time. You joined us on board a Standard ship which is our most budget-friendly option for a Navigator cruise and it is the cheapest price in the market. Our Standard ships offer shared bathroom facilities, so showering towels are not provided. We have our 'ship types' displayed via our website so guests can view images and details about each ship category. This gives in-depth information of the amenities to ensure that our advertising accurately represents the accommodations provided. Our higher category ships such as the Premier and VIP Navigator ships provide more space onboard, ensuite bathrooms and AC, so we highly recommend checking this prior to booking your cabin to avoid disappointment. Thank you again for joining is in Croatia Erica and we would love to welcome you on board again soon.
Firstly we were one guy one girl FRIENDS only travelling and we booked two single beds. A week before going on the cruise we were told that there were to many solo travellers on the boat so we had to share a double bed. If we knew this could happen before booking then we wouldn't of chosen this cruise. When we got onthe boat we found out that there was only one solo traveller out of the 36 of us..A group of 8 girls all had separate beds and said if they were asked to share then they would of been more than happy too. It made the trip not so pleasant sleeping next to someone of the opposite sex that you are not in a relationship with. Secondly our host/guide or whatever you call him was useless. He was unapproachable, unfriendly, not helpful, grumpy alot of the time and wouldn't cater to everyone. Would say comments like "I'm the guide, you do it my way" All and all I didn't enjoy this and wouldnt recommend it
- Jess, 01/08/2023 07:29, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Jess, thank you for taking the time to review your cruise with us this season. We are sad to read this as we receive such high rated feedback from other travellers for your cruise and ship throughout the season, so this is a shame. It is not possible to pre-book twin or double bedding on the Navigator cruise type Jess, so I can confirm you did not book for two single beds, I'm afraid. Our ships can be twin, bunk, or double bed cabins as stated in the FAQS, and also on the Premier Ship page. Feedback is very important to us and I will be sure to pass your comments on to the relevant teams. Thank you for joining us this season in Croatia.
I feel it is very misleading, you pay a lot of money and don’t even get aircon or a toilet or shower in your room. The food was very average and all the extra cost reallt add up. Sail was one of the things I was most excited for but I was so disappointed with it. The bed situation was disgusting, try sleeping in 38 degree weather without aircon!
- Olivia, 25/07/2023 01:57, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Olivia, thank you for taking the time to write your review and provide us with your feedback. We are disheartened to read of your disappointment with the accommodation provided onboard. We have our 'ship types' displayed via our website so guests can view images and details about each ship category. This gives indepth information of the amenities to ensure that our advertising accurately represents the accommodations provided. We highly recommend checking this prior to booking your cabin to avoid disappointment. You booked and were accommodated on one of our Standard ships where cabins are with shared facilities and don't have air conditioning as advertised. I would recommend booking next time accommodation onboard a Premier ship where cabins have private ensuite facilities and air conditioning as advertised. Thank you again for your feedback and we do hope to see you with us at another opportunity on one of our Premier ships.
The toilet was broken on lower deck which meant we had to constantly walk upstairs. This was inconvenient and not what we were promised for what we paid. We also paid for air conditioning which often turned off, meaning we woke up extremely hot. We wouldn’t have bought it if we had known it would randomly stop working. We didn’t have access to any tissues/toilet paper downstairs which was also frustrating as we had nothing to wipe things up with. When we arrived home from clubs we had been taken to the water was always empty which meant we had to ask other boats for water. When I called our representative he said all the deck crew were asleep and to buy it. This was completely unacceptable as we were meant to be supplied water. On our last night we didn’t get a family dinner or barbecue or cocktail which was on our itinerary. Often weren’t told about happy hour on the boat. It was not worth the amount money we paid.
- Ruby, 24/07/2023 14:39, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Ruby, thank you for taking the time to write your review and provide us with your feedback. It is a shame to read you were unhappy with certain aspects of your cruise, especially as I can see we received a lot of positive feedback from guests during your cruise and for this ship and throughout the season in general. We do understand it is very hot in Croatia during the summer, especially when you joined up which can make it difficult to sleep. We have our 'ship types' displayed via our website so guests can view images and details about each ship category. This gives in-depth information of the amenities to ensure that our advertising accurately represents the accommodations provided. As feedback is very important to us, I will be sure to pass your comments onto the relevant teams. Thank you for joining us.
Same bedding and towels for the entire week. Horrible smell in bathrooms. Tasks appeared to be too difficult for crew members, e.g my friend reached out to staff after collision with a sea urchin and they bluntly suggested to pee on it. They should’ve looked at it, tried to assist, help make a doctors appointment, discuss possible options. Rafting excursion was cancelled, no one was advised. Staff expected a tip despite average service and when being tipped there was no appreciation demonstrated, no ‘thank you’, but a careful eye was watching the amount tipped. Our boat leader didn’t make an effort to hype everyone up, it resulted in a mellow experience unlike what was advertised and expected when travelling with the navigator cruise. The itinerary suggests that there should be a group dinner followed by cocktails on our final night, but after money was collected earlier in the day, all staff were unreachable. No one organised a group dinner and our group felt disassembled.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review and provide us with your feedback. It is a shame to read you were unhappy with certain aspects of your cruise, especially as I can see we received a lot of positive feedback from guests during your cruise and for your ship throughout the season in general. We have a rigorous process in place for handling any issues that may arise whilst you are on the sail, which is included in the Pre-departure information emailed to you before the tour. It can be found under ‘Resolving Problems Onboard’. As you have provided your review anonymously I am unable to check if you have raised any of the issues mentioned in your review with your representative onboard. I have however checked with our Operations Manager and no issue has been raised with him on your departure which is an action required if you are unhappy with the actions of your representative and their service. We do thank you for your feedback and thank you for joining us.
The people and staff on boat made my experience one of the best weeks of my life the activity’s were so much fun and the islands and towns we went into were beautiful even the group dinners were amazing but the only let down was the rooms on boat I’m not sure if all rooms were like that but to even class it as a room was ridiculous me and my sister could barely walk into our room before hitting the bunk beds, the so called “on suite” we paid extra for was a shower head over the toilet, it was so gross, the pipe works in the bathroom smelt so bad we tried to create airflow by opening the door but then the aircon we paid 50 euro for would turn off as soon as the door opened we had no space to open our suit cases let alone go climb onto the top bunk. After talking to people on board learning what we paid for a room like that I’m so disappointed. this is sail Croatias fault for false advertising you show the big white boat with so much space but that’s not what we got
- Jade, 17/07/2023 07:46, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent cruise experience. We appreciate your positive comments about the activities, destinations, and group dinners. It's also great to see from your feedback rating that your overall experience was 5-stars and that you would also recommend us to others. However, we are disheartened to read of your disappointment caused by the room you were assigned. We have our 'ship types' displayed via our website so guests can view images and details about each ship category. This gives indepth information on the amenities to ensure that our advertising accurately represents the accommodations provided. Your feedback is important to us so thank you for all your input.
Ricardo our sail Croatia rep was an absolute legend and you never would have known it was his first week of he had not told us. I was on the tuna boat and in regards to the food, shocking. Staff were so concerned with making money from the bar but could not fork out the money to cook us proper edible food. I was sick almost everyday from the food. In regards to our skipper, never for his name, however he was one of the rudest men I have ever met. Did not appreciate his tone or attitude at all throughout the trip and I know a lot of the people on our boat felt the same. For someone who was being paid for his services he was extremely unwilling to help and spoke down on us. I hope that future people on this boat do not have to deal with the behaviour that we did from this man.
- Bronte , 13/07/2023 20:41, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your review - we are pleased to hear your onboard Rep was legendary, especially as this was his first week. It's also great to see from feedback provided, you both enjoyed every other aspect of the cruise, rating them all 5 stars and would recommend us! We are however disappointed to read your comments about the food. Our chefs aim to provide a selection of meals using fresh, local produce. We understand that at times this is not to everyone's taste, so we will highlight this to the appropriate department and we thank you for bringing this to our attention. In regards to the Captain, I have been advised that the levels of service were no different this week than previously - we have taken your comments onboard and appreciate them. Thank you for choosing to travel with Sail Croatia.
Quite a few things. The boat was disappointing. It looked nothing like the pictures and when we met people from another navigator boat who paid the same price we found out their boat was as advertised where as ours was not. Our boat was the oldest and was falling apart, the day that it rained, water was leaking through lights. Very concerning. Drinks were more expensive than advertised We also missed out on half of the excursions due to unscheduled changes in the itinerary and missed staying at two locations. We were only made aware this would happen because of weather but this was not the case here. The changes were very sudden and not well communicated and as a result we missed half of the excursions. Quite disappointing. We also found that on some excursions we were charged more than if you booked directly with the company. When we are already paying so much it was very disappointing to find out. The swimming, food and Croatia was beautiful, just unfortunate about the rest.
- Aysha, 05/07/2023 14:28, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Aysha, Thank you for your review. I'm pleased to hear you enjoyed the swimming, food and Croatia as a whole. Upon checking the feedback you submitted, we are pleased to know you would recommend us! However, we are disheartened to hear of your disappointment with some aspects. The boat you were on is advertised on our website and is in the main video for Standard ships. Furthermore, we follow strict Health and Safety procedures and each ship is inspected by the Registry of Shipping and certified each year before the start of the season. Upon checking our internal reports, I couldn't find anything relating to leaks - had we been made aware, this would have been resolved immediately. The drinks prices are estimated only, and up to date prices are available onboard. Our internal reports confirm that all guests were made aware of the slight itinerary change, and the boat had visited all destinations outlined on the itinerary, however Mljet was replaced with Korcula due to port restrictions. Like most travel operators, we include our markup in the overall package to provide a convenient and seamless experience for our guests. We hope that these issues didn't detract from your overall enjoyment.
We enjoyed our 7 nights on Olimp but a few changes could improve our experience More water toys needed ie kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel gear and floats. Non alcoholic beer would be nice for those who can’t have alcohol. Noticed other boats had umbrellas for rainy days. 7 days of exactly the same breakfast was boring. Our waiters and guide were excellent.

Our trip on Tempera was memorable for the lovely port schedule & tasty, well prepared meals. But since I have been asked to answer "what would I have changed to improve the product", here goes: Pre-departure information regarding the trip was patchy & very generic, including changing our boat (which we readily agreed to, without realising the trip would be accomodating such a young client profile) Some sailing times were very early in the morning, which meant no chance of getting a lie-in. There was quite a lot of hovering outside ports, so whilst not sailing, not able to sight-see either. Breakfast time could have been extended, especially on the days when we weren't in port until mid-afternoon, to enable a more leisurely start to the day. It was quite damp in our cabin, & noisy at night, with lots of smoking. Despite all of the above, we really did enjoy ourselves. Ioana, our guide, was enthusiastic & communicated very well. All staff worked tirelessly, especially catering: thanks.
- Janet, 27/06/2023 07:14, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Janet, Thank you for your review and for taking the time to provide us with your further feedback. We are pleased to read you thought your cruise itinerary was brilliant and you enjoyed the islands that you visited. Your suggestions for improvements to our pre-departure documents are very much welcome and have been passed on to our Marketing team. Thank you for your comments on sailing times, breakfast time and your accommodation onboard. It is great that these didn't detract from your experience onboard and you have truly enjoyed yourselves. Wonderful to hear your representative Ioana took good care of you and that the meals prepared by the outstanding chef were to your liking. Thank you again and do come back soon!
I felt that the prices for alcohol onboard were very expensive . The organizational skills of our host were non existent . We had to constantly ask for information and many times ( especially when on excursions) we were left trying to organise ourselves and sort out transportation issues !
- Arlene, 27/06/2023 04:54, Travelled in a Couple
Hi there, thank you for taking the time to write your review Arlene. After reviewing customer feedback, it's great to see you enjoyed some aspects of your cruise; Captain's Dinner, cabin, boat in general and the onboard crew, to name a few. We are pleased to inform you that our internal reporting shows that the majority of guests on your ship provided five-star feedback for the cruise and the service provided by our onboard Rep. However, we are disappointed to learn that your experience did not align with the rest of the group's positive feedback and this will be passed on. We hope to welcome you back to show the improvements made.
The cruise director was not as informative or involved as the cruise guide we had on our previous Elegance Cruise (Olimp) in 2018. He did not accompany us in any of the towns, rather just pointed us in the direction of the buildings of significance. Our previous guide, Ana, was excellent. On our previous cruise, a glass of wine or beer was included with lunch. This has been discontinued. I had specifically asked in advance, about paying by credit or debit card and was told that we could via an email response. Day one, our cruise director informs us that the port fee of 30E each and the bar tab had to be paid in cash. I would recommend that people choose either Dubrovnik to Split/Split to Dubrovnik rather than Split to Split (north). More to see and enjoy. Croatia has become very expensive after changing to the Euro.
- Amanda , 22/06/2023 07:58, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Amanda - thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear you were disappointed with some aspects of your cruise, especially as a valued past client. Having a look through our internal reports, the majority of guests on your ship provided five-star feedback for the cruise and the exceptional service provided by our onboard Rep. We are disappointed to learn that your experience did not align with the rest of the group's positive feedback. We are sorry about the misinformation regarding the bar tab payment and this will be followed up via our Operations Team. In regards to the City Walks, our reps are no longer allowed to do this as this is all monitored by local authorities. Your feedback is very important to us and the points raised will be passed over to the relevant departments where improvements will be made where possible. Thanks again for joining us this season!
Much of the trip was fantastic but there are some changes that could improve the experience The food could be better and diners should be told what they are having beforehand. The captain never came to the captains dinner, and although he maneuvered the boat with great skill, he did not interact with passengers at all, even when there were difficulties. Many people had rooms and bathrooms that reeked of sewage. The bar prices were fair, but one of the bartender was completely unskilled and clearly unhappy with his job. The pours were so small we often had to go back or complain. Vishko was very friendly and interacted with the passengers well. The excursions were fun and well timed. The greatest fun was meeting and socializing with others from around the globe. They made the trip fantastic.
- Catherine , 20/06/2023 21:35, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Catherine, thank you for your review and for taking the time to provide us with further feedback on your cruise. We are so pleased that your cruise was fantastic, we were happy to have you join us for the week in Croatia. I will be sure to pass your kind words and comments onto Vishko, thank you for this. Your feedback is very important to us and the points raised will be passed over to the relevant departments where improvements will be made where possible. Thanks again for joining us this season!
The website, advertising and itinerary were super different to the experience I had. There was no pirate party or Rave cave. We were unable to go onto the other sail croatia boats at swim stops or at pres. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with the false advertising of events, we wernt notified that they didn’t exist or wernt even happing until day of! The only good thing on the boat was the food.
- Anonymous, 19/06/2023 14:44, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to write your review and share your experience with us. Your positive comments regarding the food is lovely to read and we are so pleased you enjoyed the meals served by our team on board. Your feedback is important to us, so the points you have mentioned will be communicated with the relevant departments. Due to health and safety reasons, it is not permitted for guests to freely socialise between boats at swim stops. Once docked in harbours, or off the ships, guests of course can socialise with lots of different travellers from other boats. The Pirate Party is no longer part of our itineraries and as per our website, this has been replaced with our Blue & White Party in Makarska.
Had 6 days of rain so more could have been done to organise activities suitable for wet weather instead of them all being cancelled and left stuck on the boat
- Sophia, 19/06/2023 07:27, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your review. We appreciate your understanding that we have no control over the weather conditions, but we do acknowledge the impact it had on the activities during your trip. We value your feedback, and I will promptly forward your comments to our operations team.
I had really high expectations going into this trip, as everyone who I’d spoken to around me who’d been on it had said it is one of the best things they have ever done. The first few days were good we didn’t see heaps and didn’t go out to many places as our guides recommendations weren’t great. Then once we got to Dubrovnik it went down hill. Our guide go angry at us for going out to the same club as them, he was miss treating his trainee. Speaking unprofessional and inappropriately to all members of the sail boat, he apologised for his behaviour but then had to apologise a second time in Dubrovnik again for acting in a similar way. I was extremely upset that I had played close to $2000 aud and the person who is meant to be making this trip amazing has not only apologised twice because of his poor behaviour but also given poor recommendations and service. He didn’t even say goodbye on out last day.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with information about your experience with us. We pride ourselves on having the best local, knowledgeable and helpful reprentatives and as you had high expectations, we are sorry to hear that our guide did not display the customer service experience that we are proud to maintain. Your feedback regarding your Onboard Representative will be investigated further in light of your review, and I would like to reassure you that our Operations Manager has this to hand. Whilst we are unable to advise on outcomes here, if any further support and training is required to ensure such experiences do not occur, this will be actioned immediately. Again, we thank you for your review and we do hope that you enjoyed all other aspects of your cruise with us.
Improve your product??? Surely you mean “offering”. The food offering was repetitive, unexciting, the puddings , (with one exception) were inedible, the use of fake cream from a can was particularly unpleasant. Some Croatian specialities would have been welcome on the menus. Also no other options were available apart from a vegetarian option. All in all, completely underwhelming. Sleep was difficult due to the cheap pillows. However the tour rep Stephan was excellent as was the restaurant/bar manager.
- Christine , 13/06/2023 07:58, Travelled with Family
Hi Christine, thank you for your 3 star review. We will ensure that your kind words on Stjepan and the Bar Manager are passed on. It is a shame to hear that we did not meet your expectations when it comes to the food. Guest feedback is very important to us and your remarks will be passed onto the relevant team so that improvements can be made. Thank you for providing us with this feedback and for joining us in Croatia this season.
We travelled as 4 singles and all had our own room. One of the room had a disgusting sewerage smell the entire trip. They do not have a maintenance person on the boat. The BBQ meal at €25 was disappointing. The dining room has plastic tables and chairs and is set up like a school event rather than a cruise. Unlike other boats that we could see, you are not allowed to eat outside.
- Therese, 29/05/2023 02:55, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Therese, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. At times if there is bad weather, smell can occur in the bathroom emitting from the shower drains. This is due to the movement of the ships on the water whereby this movement opens up airflow at the back of the pipe and into the bathroom. This is addressed in the Welcome Speech by the Sail Croatia Representative on board. Your points raised regarding BBQ and decor have been noted and this will be communicated with the relevant teams so we can make improvements where possible. Your feedback is very important to us, so we appreciate this and wish to thank you.
Better cleaning, more friendly, variety with the food, in rainy days have some entertaining even border games or something, the cruise itself is not cheap and of top of that we have to pay more more, a lot of my travellers wee really dissatisfied!!! Never ever will Travel again with you guys I will not recommended neither to my friends!!!!
- Marta, 22/05/2023 14:29, Travelled in a Couple
Dear Marta, thank you for taking the time to review your cruise with us this season. I am very sorry to hear you felt this way about your experience. Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee the weather, so it is a shame that you did not have the best weather during your time with us. Overall for your departure I can see most guests that joined the cruise have said in feedback that they would recommend us, so I am sorry to hear this is not the case for you. Thank you for joining us Marta and for taking the time to review your experience.
I would not sail when places on the islands are not open. Or at least tell your customers that most shops and tourist places are not open yet and let them decide to sail or not. Staff on you ship need to understand English and also speak it. Also the bartenders should know how to make all types of drinks that are available
- Kaz, 21/05/2023 06:25, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Kaz, thank you for joining us this season and also for your review. Feedback is important to us and we appreciate that you have taken the time to write to us with your recommendations. There are many benefits to travelling to Croatia outside of peak season, including cheaper cruise and flight prices, as well as fewer crowds of tourists. I will be sure to pass your comments and suggestions onto the correct teams so that we can make improvements where possible, thank you for bringing this to our attention and for sharing your experience with us.
nothing, staff and experience was amazing i just got sick whilst on the boat so couldn’t enjoy the experience like the others.
- charlotte , 17/05/2023 12:44, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Charlotte, thank you for your review! We are so pleased to read that staff and the experience itself were amazing. We are so sorry to hear you were unwell and do hope that you can come with us again to enjoy to the full experience.
A great little cruise totally let down by sales staff, allocations staff and after sales customer service. Information on booking was inaccurate and misleading. After sales customer service lame, defensive and frankly frustrating. Were unable to grasp the gravity of the situation. My separate complaint refers. On a positive Dino the Tour Guide did everything he could on board to offset the frustration and disappointment. Other than that great Tour Guide and Crew - thank you especially Dino and Sime! ❤️. Food service staff friendly but service sometimes slow and haphazard- half serving tables before moving to the next. Room cleanliness good. Food good but ran out of breakfast items - bananas and muesli. Captain didn't engage throughout even on Captains Night. Enjoyable and relevant excursions. Tour schedule altered one day due to inclement weather - saved the day! Perfect!
- Stephanie, 01/05/2023 08:37, Travelled in a Couple
Thank you for your review Stephanie. We are pleased to hear Dino was helpful and available at all times and we will be sure to share your comments with him and Sime. We encourage guests to request more supplies if they run out, and our crew will be more than happy to replenish this. The onboard crew work tirelessly to provide outstanding customer service and we are disappointed to hear that there was some slow meal service at times, thank you for letting us know. We hope you managed to book some of the amazing excursions on offer during your week with us! In regards to the customer service levels provided, we are very disappointed to read this as we pride ourselves on providing an unbeatable customer service experience. Our records show that you did indeed have a request for a front cabin which was correctly noted by our Sales staff. We are aware that unfortunately this request was not met immediately at check-in however our Operations team reacted swiftly and were indeed able to accommodate your request of a front cabin soon after check-in on the first day. You initially decided to stay in your allocated cabin but we were pleased to learn that you decided to relocate during the cruise. Again, we thank you for all your comments.
Sail Croatia has some fine tuning to work on. Food was mediocre and cold at times. Repetitive breakfast and no options for customers. Rooms were amazing. Sime and Dino were amazing. Overall, I will not be a repeat customer which is unfortunate as I was hoping to be.
- Daniela, 01/05/2023 00:51, Travelled with Family
Hi Daniela, thank you for your review. We appreciate your comments regarding Dino and Sime and we will be sure to pass your lovely comments on to them. It's great to know you enjoyed your room onboard the boat, we agree, they are spacious and light. In regards to the food, we have passed your comments on to the Chef via our Operations Manager and we appreciate you highlighting this to us so we can look to improve this aspect of our cruise. Thank you.
The food on the cruise was terrible. The boat was ok. The crew was awesome but the horrible food turned this from a perfect experience to one where having to eat on board was the low point of each day.
- Anonymous, 05/10/2022 03:26, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your review. We appreciate your 4 star feedback rating for the boat overall and 5 stars for the crew, thank you. We have high expectations for all our meals served onboard, and our chefs aim to provide guests with lovely meals. We are sorry to hear you did not find the meals enjoyable and we will take your comments onboard for future improvements. We appreciate you taking the time to post your review. Thank you.
The best part of the trip was the company of others who attended the same week, but everything else about the trip that was handled by Sail Croatia was pitiful. Horrible food, poor planning, disgusting cabins, and more than evident cost-cutting. The wifi was nonexistent and no soap, shampoo, or conditioner was provided. The bath towels provided were dirty and disgusting. I signed for a triple occupancy cabin and it ended up being a mattress on the floor. That is unacceptable. The other participants bonded on the boat over Sail Croatia's failings as a cruise liner. If I knew the lack of amenities provided and the poor organizing, I would not attend.
- Kalee, 01/10/2022 18:52, Travelled with Family
Thank you for your review Kalee. We are sorry to hear you were unhappy with your cabin arrangements and boat in general. I have gone through all the feedback ratings and we were given 4 stars for the 'boat overall'. Our chefs prepare all meals in their small gulleys located onboard the boat, aiming to provide a variety of meals however we understand that this is not always to everyone's taste. Soap, shampoo and conditioning is not included and we advise guests to bring their own onboard to avoid disappointment. Triple cabin consists of a small double bed and single bunk, as advised prior to booking this room type. As they are the same size as a twin share (2 people per cabin) we provide a 10% discount. I understand that you were moved to another cabin free of charge. We hope this was more than suitable. After reviewing the organisation of the cruise by the Onboard Representative, they were rated all 5 stars which includes; destination, organisation and friendliness. We thank you for your review.
We travelled on the New Ship Roko. It was beautiful, Croatia was beautiful but this was not what I would consider an Elegance Cruise. We were expecting exceptional service. It was mediocre. The staff was informative but not polite, smiling or happy. They were robotic, dismissive, aloof, going through the motions. The captain never smiled, greeted people, not even a courteous wave when walking past you. He did his job, nothing else. The food at breakfast was good, nice variety but ran out of fresh fruit every day. Lunch was a sub par version of English cooking. We were expecting Authentic Croatian cuisine. I only ate 50 % off them. They ran out of fresh lettuce every day. The rooms were straightened up each day with fresh towels. They were not cleaned. Every day there was dust/hair etc on the bathroom floor. I would clean up every morning after the cabin maid left. This is what I would expect from a Navigator, or Explorer Cruise. I didn't consider it an Elegance Cruise at all!

Thank you so much for your review. We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your time onboard Roko and found it beautiful, much like the country. We are sorry to hear you did not receive our high levels of customer service that is expected from all members of staff - we thank you for making us aware. We do have a process in place for any issues that may arise onboard and if we are made aware at the time, we can quickly resolve these matters. I have checked our reports and cannot see that any issues were raised with the Onboard Rep. Thank you for your comments regarding the meals served, it's great to hear that you found breakfasts enjoyable. Upon request the chef will of course provide you with more servings and is always open to suggestions. We offer daily cabin cleaning and a mid-week thorough cleaning service with linen and towel change. If our crew members were made aware of the dust/hair, this would have been resolved immediately to ensure this does not happen again. We thank you for voicing your concerns here, and we do hope that you were able to enjoy all other aspects of the cruise.
The bathrooms were smelly and cabins small , food was ok . Bar staff were great and crew very nice
- Paula, 19/09/2022 07:04, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your review - we are pleased to hear that the bar staff and crew were great. We thank you for your groups 3 and 4 star reviews. However we are sorry to hear of the issues experienced onboard. We would have been able to resolve these issues for you immediately if we were made aware at the time. We thank you for bringing this to our attention and this will be passed on to the Operations Team.
This is our 3rd time travelling with Sail Croatia and yet again we had the most fantastic time, however, we did notice a few things that we feel needed to be addressed. 1) The cleanliness of the ship overall was not good and the 'sun' deck was not cleaned in the whole week we were on board (I spilt a coke and the stained remained all week). The bar deck was the same and sometimes the tables were still covered in the empty glasses from the night before. 2) The route was changed with no apparent reason and therefore I spent the first day changing booked trips. 3) The captains night was the 1st night (usually the 2nd to last) and most passengers were tired and retired before the entertainment finished). 4) Smoking was allowed pretty much anywhere on outside decks and although I am a smoker, this was not welcomed by most of the passengers. 5) The cushion covers on the sun loungers were not cleaned in time and we therefore spent the first day and half without cushions. run out!
- Heidi, 16/09/2022 08:16, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Heidi - Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear you had a fantastic time with us, however we are disappointed that as a valued 3rd time returning customer of ours, you found there was a difference in standards. In regards to the cleanliness onboard, the crew are always on hand to assist wherever possible and if they are made aware, any spills will be cleaned up immediately. The ship goes through a thorough cleaning regime prior to your sail and during the week we complete daily cabin cleaning services plus a mid-weekly thorough clean throughout the cabin including linen change. We will pass your comments regarding the glasses on tables to the captain via our Operations Team. I can see from our internal records that there was a slight change in itinerary due to strong winds and for the safety of guests, the captain decided to change this slightly. This can happen as explained in your pre-departure information. The original itinerary was as follows: Dubrovnik, Mljet, Hvar, Stari Grad, Split, Makarska, Korcula, Dubrovnik. The adjusted itinerary was as follows: Mljet, Makarska,Split, Stari Grad, Hvar , Korcula, Dubrovnik. I understand the Onboard Rep had communicated this to all guests, so they were made aware.Smoking onboard is permitted in open areas of the ship. I understand that the cushion covers were being prepared and were not ready until the 2nd day of the cruise, this was explained to all guests onboard also. We do thank you for all your comments here Heidi, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your review with us. We hope to have you back with us again in the near future.
Poor customer service from day one. Food was uneatable, bar closed during happy hour, staff unapproachable, asked multiple times for toilet paper and clean towels, staff complaints of fatigue, poor engagement to everyone
- Amy, 15/09/2022 12:10, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your review - we are sorry to hear that you were unimpressed by the customer service provided. We pride ourselves on providing guests with as much information as possible, to ensure they are ready for their cruise with us. Information is emailed to guests, can also be found on your Online Account and we have information on our website. Toilet paper and clean towels can be provided upon request - we are disappointed to hear that you had to request this multiple times and we will be speaking with our Operations Team regarding this. We hope you enjoyed your time in Croatia as a whole and the issues didn't detract from your overall enjoyment. Thank you
I’m so lucky that I met such an amazing group of people on this sail Croatia because without them I would’ve been very disappointed. The food served on the boat was almost inedible, most people skipped it and ended up buying their own food. The crew on the boat were quite rude and made no effort to remember dietary requirements which almost resulted in some dire situations with multiple members on the boat. The bar on the boat was pretty much always closed which made it difficult at ports where there were no external bars - everyone had a few early night which isn’t exactly what you picture when you sign up for sail Croatia. Although the bar being closed wasn’t all bad as the drinks were so overpriced hardly anyone could afford them. Another issue with the bar being closed is that you’re not allowed to bring any food or drinks onboard - this is inconvenient when you need something to eat or drink and there is no way to purchase anything on board. Thank god I had a good group!
- Chloe, 12/09/2022 10:24, Travelled in a Couple
Thank you for your review Chloe. We are really pleased to hear you met some amazing people on your cruise. We have high expectations and aim to provide our guests with lovely, fresh meals week after week, so we are very disappointed to hear the meals served didn't meet your expectations. Dietary requirements are passed on to the chef, and we encourage guests to introduce yourselves to the chef and discuss any additional requests with them. The bar is open during the day, generally up until midnight unless instructed by the crew - we appreciate you bringing this to our attention and we will discuss further with our Operations Team to ensure our high levels of service are maintained. Thank you.
First May I say the concept of the holiday and the boat are fantastic but for it to achieve a 4 or 5 star rating a lot of areas need to improve, I will list my constructive criticism points below All dayTea and coffee should be included with the package Need to improve breakfast, hit water wasn’t hot and we always had to ask to get it replaced so you were left waiting for ages Bacon and hot food not very attractive Food overall not too a high standard For such a luxurious ship, where were the padded sun beds shown on the promotional video!!!! Sun beds very uncomfortable Sheets should be changed during week Very noisy cabin, cabin 9, constant sound of large motor combined with air conditioning was extremely unpleasant No long hanging space Bar bill at end not itemised, written on scrappy but of paper. I didn’t like the way envelopes were left on your bed on last day for tips!!!! No facility for card payment on. Transport to Dubrovnik should have been provided on last
- Claire Batcheler , 09/09/2022 05:08, Travelled in a Couple
Thank you for your 3 star review Claire, we appreciate all your comments here and we will take these onboard. In regards to the meals served, our chefs aim to provide delicious meals using fresh, local produce. They prepare all the meals out of their small gulley's and we understand that this may not be to everyone's taste. Your comments will be passed on, thank you. Onboard your ship there is a daily cabin cleaning servie and mid-week linen change. We are sorry to hear of the noise you experienced - we have a rigorous process in place for any issues that may arise and this gives us the opportunity to resolve any issues if we are made aware. I have checked our internal reports but cannot see that this was raised with our onboard Representative. Furthermore, upon checking our feedback for your week onboard, we have received 4-5 stars. The bar bills are settled at the end of the week in cash, this is mentioned on our website, in your pre-departure and explained in the Welcome Speech. Guests are welcome to request a daily receipt for their records. Tipping is optional and we have passed your comments on to our Operations Team - thank you for letting us know. There are no card facilities onboard. Airport transfers are provided pre/post cruise, on the last day we can provide this from the harbour to the airport only on the last day of the cruise. We do hope that you enjoyed your time in Croatia Claire and again, we appreciate your constructive comments.
We were super lucky with the other guests we got on our boat as they are what made our trip the 3 stars instead of a 1. The staff on our boat were so unorganized, uninterested and if I’m being honest just not up to the standard of a premier ship. It didn’t even feel like we had staff on board. Our excretions were either late or not booked and our food was always late and again not up to standard of what I was told I would be getting for premier. We had zero boat parties or group activities organized compared to another sail Croatia boat next to us. Brody who was leading the boat next to us was amazing he tried include us in as many activities as he could but he had his own boat to run. I give full credit to him for trying to include us. I also don’t appreciate people on the boat being messaged by the lead of our boat asking to give her a good review. If you want a good review them be a good boat host!! Definite room for improvement on this premier boat
- Brooke, 15/08/2022 20:12, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Brooke, Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed the company of your fellow travellers. I'm sorry to hear you didn't find the staff onboard to be helpful. I have checked the feedback for your Onboard Representative, and the average rating was 4 stars. All our ships get to enjoy socialising onboard and also the opportunity to enjoy the nightlife in each destination. Thank you for your comments on Brody, we are pleased to hear he was helpful and simply amazing. We will be sure to pass on your kind comments to him. Reviews are based on your personal experience, and we would like these to be as honest as possible, true to your experience so we thank you for sharing this with us. We have taken your comments onboard for future improvements. Thank you.
I’ll start out with the great, our skipper Ivan was fabulous and knowledgeable. He was a competent and hard worker. He was 5 stars. Everyone on our boat was also amazing. The swim stops are incredible and Croatia in general is phenomenal. The boat is 0 stars, the air con of the “premier” doesn’t work well at all, we would wake up sweating. The cabin sizes are extremely tiny, to the point of not being able to fully lay down on the bunks or sit up to enter or exit the beds. There are 2 bathrooms aboard which you must pump to get to work, so basically you want to hold it until you get to a port to use the public restrooms/showers when available. I wouldn’t call the boat a yacht, it’s a sail boat. There should be more transparency in what to expect, including pictures. It’s similar to camping with much smaller sleeping quarters. This is my second time on a sail Croatia cruise, I likely won’t use them again because I felt the cruise and accommodations were misrepresented.
- Anonymous, 01/08/2022 07:33, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your review. We are very pleased to hear you found the swim stops incredible and Croatia as a whole, amazing. Thanks for your comments regarding your skipper - we're pleased to hear he was helpful and knowledgeable - we will ensure your comments are passed on to him to enjoy. I have checked and can see that air-conditioning is included in the communal areas. The cabins are suitable for two people sharing. The pump for the bathroom is quite common onboard yachts. We have images on our website for both Premier and Standard options, which include images of the saloon, sleeping area, decking and kitchen, we also have the cabin plans visible for transparency. I'm really sorry to hear that as a past guest you wouldn't recommend us. We do hope that you do join us again so that we can ensure your trip is our expected 5-star service. Thank you.
We originally booked the trip on Alfa Mario for very specific reasons (There is a pool on board and access to swimming spots is from the back platform). the boat was changed and we had no choice in the matter. We could either change our dates or get a refund, BUT we had already booked and paid for flights, so actually had no choice. On board the Queen Jelena there are a few small things that would have made a big difference. A turn down service would add a nice touch. On the top deck the barman was on duty some of the time, he could perhaps have walked around and taken drink orders. A few floating toys would also have been nice during swim stops.
- Anonymous, 19/07/2022 08:59, Travelled in a Couple
Thank you for your feedback - we understand that you had booked Alfa Mario and due to an operational change since your original booking with us in 2020 allowing you to then join us on Queen Jelena in 2022. That's correct, we did offer either a full refund or alternative solution. We offer a daily cabin cleaning service and provide a mid-week thorough cleaning service and linen change. We thank you for your recommendation of having someone take drinks orders on the top deck - we will pass this on to our Operations Manager. Floating devices are not included on our cruises however, some past guests may leave their floaties onboard. Floaties can also be bought at local markets. We do hope you enjoyed your time overall and we thank you for joining us this year after a 2 year wait due to Covid.
Breakfast - always a limited time of an hour and if you wanted a sleepin you then missed breakfast, if you weren't going on an excursion you still had to get up extra early to get breakfast. Had to ask for butter and jam every day as there was none laid on table. Breakfast and lunch were very poor on the first few day until many people complained - Breakfast was greatly improved but not so much the lunch. Lunch could be simplified with mixed salads and cold meats, Lighter meals not so much three course. The food took a long time to be served in between courses. Swim stops were not fantastic as we have had before. It just felt like the crew were in automatic mode without great thought to what they were doing. This was a trip I have enjoyed immensely in the past and have raved about to many people who have also then taken the trip. We paid a lot more this year but seem to have gotten less. So disappointed.

Hi there and thank you for your review. We hope you were able to enjoy Croatia whilst you were there and immerse yourself in the beautiful country and culture. We are sorry to hear of your disappointment with some aspects of your cruise. Breakfasts are offered to all guests and the opening times are advised by the Onboard Representative. The chef will always provide more breakfast options upon request. The chef aims to provide fresh meals using local produce, they operate out of a small kitchen and we understand that not all meals are to everyone's taste. We appreciate your comments here and these will be passed on. Lookng at the meal feedback for your week onboard, the average rating was 4 stars. We are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the swim stops like you had in the past, our captain aims to provide a good balance between land vs sea, mooring up into secluded bays for all guests to enjoy. We do hope that the issues experience didn't detract from your overall enjoyment, as this is certainly not a reflection of the high standards we expect week after week. We hope that you join us again in the future and we thank you again for your review.
We had two cabins above deck. One was very nice and quiet, 14 but the twin cabin 19 for our adult children was horrible. It sat right over the engine and was so loud, it was unbearable. It also didn’t have a safe. Overall the week was
- Magi, 04/07/2022 22:10, Travelled with Family
Hi Magi - thank you for taking the time to review our cruise. We are pleased that you enjoyed your quieter cabin and hope that you enjoyed your time overall. However we are disappointed to read that your children's cabin experienced noise issues. We have a rigorous process in place for any issues that arise, and the first step is to discuss with your Onboard Representative, if no action is taken then you are welcome to escalate to the Operations Manager and/or Managing Director. Having checked our internal reports, I cannot see that the noise issues were raised with our Onboard Representative. If they were raised, we would have found an immediate solution to ensure that everyone is happy onboard. We are disappointed we were not given the opportunity to rectify this issue whilst you were onboard. Thank you again for your review and we hope to have you join us in the future.
Two Internet bloggers on board the ship with cameras, and drones constantly filming the activities. No attempt to ask for permission. Constantly had to hide between doors to avoid being on camera. A rather stressful holiday at times.
- Annette, 27/06/2022 13:30, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Annette, thank you for your review. Thank you for also reaching out to us via email. We’re glad that you raised your concerns with the bloggers onboard your ship and requested not to be a part of any content they created. We expect all customers to respect one another onboard our cruises and take into consideration any requests by fellow travellers not to be filmed or photographed when documenting their holiday experience. We hope that action was taken by the guests in question to ensure that no footage of yourself or John was published on social media. Our Onboard Representatives are available on each ship to support guests throughout the week, and mitigate any situations that may arise. If you weren’t satisfied with the action taken by your fellow traveller, we would have hoped you would communicate this with the Onboard Representative so that we could have resolved this issue. I’ve spoken with our Marketing Manager, and all internal photographers and videographers who board our ships to capture content do so in a GDPR compliant manner. Unfortunately Sail Croatia cannot be held responsible for content that is created by guests onboard in a public setting. The issues you have raised with us have been actioned by being reviewed internally as well as with the ICO and ABTA. The learning is that there was no GDPR breach and our feedback system indicates no issues were raised onboard. I am sorry this was not brought to our attention when you were onboard, so we were unable to resolve the issue immediately. We hope that you enjoyed your time regardless and we thank you for your review.
We paid an extra $200AUD for an air-conditioned yacht on which the air-conditioning never worked. It was so hot i could not sleep. Sleeping in a small boat is already difficult. I've received no contact from sail croatia about the broken air con. Not impressed we paid so much extra for nothing.
- Eloise, 26/06/2022 18:07, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Eloise, thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear you had an amazing time onboard. There are a couple of points in your review that I just need to clarify for other travellers considering booking with us. We have a rigorous process in place for handling any issues that may arise whilst you are on the sail, which is included in the Pre-departure information emailed to you before the tour. It can be found under ‘Resolving Problems Onboard’. Following this process gives us the opportunity to try to resolve an issue during the trip, and work with you in finding a suitable solution to ensure all parties are happy, if given this opportunity. Guests are encouraged to report incidents themselves to their Onboard Representative, and if they feel no action is taken by their Onboard Representative, you are then welcome to escalate this to our Operations Manager and/or Managing Director. This ensures that no incident is left unreported, especially if we are made aware of the issue, and gives us the best chance to resolve this during the cruise for you. Upon checking our internal records, I could not find any reports raised to your representative regarding the air-conditioning. We thank you for your positive feedback rating provided after your trip with us, and we hope that you enjoyed your time in Croatia overall.
Website should be a little more clear to set expectations right. Website said breakfast is provided but we didn't get breakfast made for us. Our skipper just bought a box of cereal, some ham and cheese and a loaf of bread for the whole week. We had to make breakfast for her every morning instead. We expected floaties to be provided but the only thing that was provided was a stand up paddling board, so we had to buy floaties in one of the islands. Blankets should be washed after every charter. Skipper should be more knowledgeable on itinerary and at the beginning of the charter we should have an idea of what we are doing each day.
- Lucy, 21/06/2022 13:35, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Lucy, thanks for your review. That's correct - breakfasts are provided where guests can help themselves to the food onboard. In regards to the breakfasts, we appreciate your comments and this will be passed on to our Operations Manager and Head Skipper. I'm afraid floaties are not included onboard and can be purchased at the local markets. At times past guests may leave theirs onboard. However, there is a Stand Up Paddle board and snorkelling equipment for use. Blankets and linen is changed before every departure. We pride ourselves on providing knowledgeable, friendly and helpful skippers that share their passion for their country and culture, so I'm really sorry to hear that you found that the skipper lacked knowledge. We hope that you enjoyed the trip overall and that the above didn't detract from your overall enjoyment of Croatia as a whole.
I think to start it would of been nice to of been greeted with a drink once we all got on board. I also think the bedding and towels needed to changed more than once. We had to ask every day for butter with the bread and we’re never given side plates. It would of been nice to have a jug of water on the table with lunch. The stars of breakfast was very poor. Some days the fruit was brown. Ioana who was the sail Croatia Rep was fantastic though and always went above and beyond with her organisational skills, she was an excellent representation for your company.
- Joanne Goodwin, 15/06/2022 05:49, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Joanne, Thank you for your review - this is much appreciated. We're glad to hear that Ioana went above and beyond to provide you with all the information needed onboard the cruise, we will certainly pass your comments on to her. Prior to our guests arrival we complete a thorough cleanse of each cabin and we organise a mid-week bedding/linen change and thorough cabin clean, daily cabin cleaning service and have added the inclusion of beach and bath towels onboard. We appreciate your suggestions of side plates at dinner, and water on the tables, which will be passed on to the Captain. I have had a look through the feedback provided by all guests, mainly regarding the breakfasts and can see that most of the ratings received were 4-5 stars. We understand that meals may not be to everyone's tastes, however encourage requesting alternative options from the chef. We can also provide the option of a cooked breakfast daily which is priced at 40EUR for the week. Thank you again for all your comments and suggestions. We hope that you enjoyed your time with us overall and that the issues mentioned didn't detract from your overall enjoyment in Croatia.
A good basic offering from Sail Croatia. We got to see some beautiful islands. Our host, Iona, was fabulous at pulling everything together. For our group, the food and its presentation was an issue. Breakfasts were of poor quality - we gave feedback and for a couple of days it improved slightly. If you have any food intolerances, I believe this would be an issue for them (I am a vegetarian). Simple things like better quality wine on board, water on the table at meal times, side plates for the bread would all help.
- Anonymous, 13/06/2022 07:33, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi there, thank you for your review - we appreciate it. Thank you for your kind comments regarding your host Iona and the beautiful islands - we agree, they are simply stunning! Thank you for your feedback on the meals provided and this will be passed on to the chef. I have also checked the feedback regarding the meals for all other guests onboard the boat, on your departure date, and the ratings provided were all 4-5 stars for breakfast and lunch. We understand that the meals served are not always to each individual taste. We really do appreciate your comments regarding the wine onboard, water on the table at meal times and side plates which will be passed on to our team, thank you.
Skipper made out with his girlfriend in my room, also cave party was closed (sail Croatia company should have checked this) and communication was poor between skippers and guests, on one occasion we were left waiting 3 hours for them only for them to turn up drunk at midnight and say that they “needed some space”. Super unprofessional. The yacht was lovely and kept well by the skippers who were very knowledgeable, and scenery was beautiful. If I were to do again I would use another company
- B, 06/06/2022 13:53, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your review. I have been in contact with our Operations Team and our Head skipper who have been made aware of your review. I can confirm that the skipper had advised everyone, openly, that his girlfriend was not allowed downstairs. After obtaining information, we understand that you had invited the skippers girlfriend downstairs into your room to change and the skipper came downstairs to check if everyone was ok - he did give her a quick kiss and left to go back upstairs however, his girlfriend remained downstairs with you to get ready. We understand that the Cave Party was closed however, an alternative option was offered and accepted by everyone onboard - you all enjoyed an evening of singing and dancing until the early hours, your skipper also paid your bar tab at the venue as you had left the bar without paying. The head skipper has confirmed that daily briefings were given and that you were always located towards the front of the boat at these times. The skipper has a free day during the week, which was in Hvar where guests were given the option to go out and explore or the skipper would book a table at Carpe Diem at midnight for everyone. This was agreed and the table was booked, however when the skipper returned the group no longer wanted to go which put the skipper in an awkward position. We hope that you still enjoyed your time onboard and got to see some lovely places and met some wonderful people. Thank you again for providing us with our review.
Being the last week of the season the staff were clearly worn down and voiced this. They were very efficient but disconnected from guests. The spa was never hot enough and when asked it was never addressed...the spa needed to be on and hot and ready to go at all times.
- Sue, 22/10/2019 05:16, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Sue, thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that you had a wonderful experience overall, enjoying some of the best locations with your fellow travellers. However, we are disappointed to read of your comments about the staff and the spa, your comments will be highlighted to our Operations Team, thank you for making us aware. We do hope that this didn't detract from your overall enjoyment onboard and in Croatia as a whole.
The food was average , only 2 meals on the boat were of the quality I accept when traveling internationally ,not a choice of fish or meat and 2 of the meat coarse served I would had sent back if served to me in a average restaurant in the world. Having a window of 1 hour to have breakfast is unacceptable by any standards of any hotel cruise line in the world 8 to 9 and if you arrived at 855 they started to pack away as if the were still in a communist country no Tea or coffee making facilities before 8 am which is absolutely not acceptable by any standards in the world The tour guide was average,a poor communicator spoke too long on ever Occassion ,boat was nice and clean staff were pleasant .We enjoyed ourselves because of the company we met . this trip we visited London,New York ,Santorini,Athens now France I Am 60 years travelled the world annually you requested a critique so I have taken the time hope you improve ,there is a lot of scope in food ,guide, done 4
- Peter , 15/10/2019 14:02, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Peter, thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I am sorry to read you were unhappy with some aspects of the cruise. It's a shame to read you were not pleased with the meals served on board. I understand you brought this to your Representatives attention during lunch on the second day of your cruise. Your Representative advised that if you were unhappy during your first lunch on board we could have asked the chef to prepare you an alternative meal. Once your Representative was made aware you were unhappy with the meals served it is noted that you and your wife went on to enjoy the cruise and the meals were better for the remainder of your week on board with us. I'll be sure to pass your comments onto our Operations Manager in Split to make him aware of the issues raised in your review regarding the coffee and breakfast being packed away before 9am. Thank you for your feedback regarding this. It is only with such feedback we can improve our services, so thank you for bringing this to our attention. I do hope the issues raised did not deter you from enjoying your time in Croatia. It is wonderful to read that you enjoyed your time with your fellow travellers. Thank you for joining us this season.
PROS: The biking and scenery was wonderful. The cook did a nice job specifically with the lunches we had on board. NEUTRAL: As advertised the berths were very small. CONS: There was no WIFI in the lower berths. The crew smoked everywhere on the boat, so you were subjected to secondhand smoke. We had two bike accidents and there was limited access to medical attention. The lack of medical attention is not the fault of Sail Croatia, but it would be good to have this known. The crew should be asked to wear Sail Croatia shirts. On one day a crew member was wearing an offensive T-shirt.Unless you were the first in line for breakfast there was never enough breakfast cereal, coffee or yogurt. And, the crew member responsible for setting out breakfast food did not see it as his job to replenish any of the items.Last, Sail Croatia does their employees a disservice by not giving travelers some idea on the customary range for tipping.
- Karla, 09/10/2019 08:04, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Karla, Thanks for taking the time to submit your review. We are really pleased to hear you enjoyed the cycling aspect of the cruise, the beautiful locations and the meals served. I just wanted to clarify a few points raised in your review; WIFI is subject to download limits and coverage. On all our ships there are designated smoking areas, we thank you for making us aware of your experience here and we will be looking into this further. All our ships are equipped with medical supplies and means to get to the nearest hospital if required. We thank you for your suggestion regarding the uniform - this has been passed on to the Operations Manager. Breakfast times are displayed on the board and advised by your representative, upon request, the crew can of course provide you with additional servings. We are sorry to hear the service was not up to standard and we will certainly be highlighting this to the captain for future improvements. Tipping is optional on all our ships and completely at your discretion. We do hope that you enjoyed your time in Croatia and hope that these issues didn't detract from your overall experience.
The boat was comfortable

Thank you for joining us!
Our guide Anna was enthusiastic; warm and helpful. The the other guests were great fun and the islands were nothing short of wonderful Sail Croatia (Cristal) staff did a good job with the food and cleanliness but were not at all friendly or willing to go the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. This was very disappointing. They did not know our names, smile or ever say hello, and scowled when we asked for something which may have run out or if the coffee was turned off. And the captain only attended the captain’s dinner for ten minutes and did not even say hello. We loved the cruise but for this reason we would be reluctant to recommend this company for fellow travellers. Our only change for the other details was that we would prefer cold lunches such as salads, ham and bread. And we felt it should have finished when we reached Debrovnik as Anna had finished and gone; and it was not nice staying in the port beyond the bridge.

Hi Jen, Thank you for your review. We appreciate all your comments and suggestions. We are pleased to hear that your guide Anna was professional, welcoming and friendly and that the other guests onboard were a wonderful group of people. We are also really pleased to hear that the meals served and cleanliness of the ship were all to a high standard, and we appreciate your suggestion of having cold lunches on some days. However, we are disappointed to read your comments regarding the crew. We are family owned and each of the ships we work with are also family-owned and operated. Together we make up Sail Croatia. Although our Reps are employed and trained by Sail Croatia, our ships and their captains are in charge of employing their own crew, ensuring their staff maintain a high level of service throughout the cruise and we are sorry to hear this was not the case. Having a look at the feedback for your week onboard, the crew have been rated 4-5 stars which includes the captain, chef, waiter and sailor. I have passed your comments on to our Operations Manager to highlight with the captain. Thank you again for making us aware and we hope to have you onboard one of our cruises again, to provide you with a 5-star experience!
I think bottled water should be put in the room daily as you can't drink the water in the cabin (which was very small when you put suitcases inside). Not being able to access coffee or tea until 8am is a bit of a bug bear if you are an early riser. Could move the coffee/tea facilities onto the undercover deck area which would also help with the congestion around the breakfast bar, Arriving in the ports in the afternoons means you miss most of the day on the islands. Rafting up in rough weather is difficult if you are a bit older. Could have a few activities on the ship for the days you don't get to port till late afternoon, basically nothing to do on board.
- Lyn, 29/09/2019 03:44, Travelled in a Couple
Dear Lyn, Thank you for your review. We hope you enjoyed your time in Croatia and we thank you for your comments. Implemented in 2017, we removed all included water bottles from our fleet (prior to 2017, each guest received 2 x water bottles daily), and replaced each ship with water coolers, promoting guests to bring their own reusable water bottle onboard thus reducing plastic waste. Tea and coffee is available during salon opening times. Looking at the feedback provided for your week, the average rating for this was 4 stars. We appreciate your suggestions regarding moving the facilities elsewhere, and we will certainly pass these wonderful suggestions on to our Operations Team, thank you. All our ships aim to get in to port as early as possible generally any time from midday onwards, however this is heavily reliant on port authorities and scheduling of all ships into the same port. Ports such as Hvar are more congested due to the popularity of this island, in saying this, our representative will always keep guests updated if there are any unforeseen delays. Thank you again for taking the time to submit your review, this is appreciated. Kind regards,
Food choice - no choice for lunch and, at times, the menu offered was mediocre. Not particularly tasty or appetising.. Tour guide - much of our on - land time was self - directed with a very limited explanation of what to see and how to get there. Wi - fi - virtually non existent unless very late at night or in the early hours of the morning. I have compared our expereince with those travelling with Katerina who, for a very similar price, experienced an amazing choice of food, including 4 dinners, barista coffee and had a tour guide to assist at all locations explaining and taking them to the points of interest. The ship could not be faulted nor the attentiveness of the crew.

Hi there and thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that the ship was of a high standard and the crew were a welcomed inclusion on your cruise. However, we are sorry to hear of your disappointments with some aspects of your cruise, mainly with the meals. Our chefs aim to provide delicious, home cooked meals using fresh local produce, so we are sorry to hear that the meals served were not to your taste. Having a look at the feedback received for your departure, the average rating for onboard meals was 4-stars. We pride ourselves on providing the best local, informative and friendly Tour guides so it is disappointing to read that you received limited information. Looking at the feedback received for your rep, he had received all 5-star ratings which is great. However, in light of your review we have highlighted your comments to our Operations Manager, thank you. We do hope that you were able to enjoy all other aspects of your cruise with us - fellow travellers, destinations, organised tours and excursions and that these issues didn't detract from your overall experience in Croatia.
For the price paid, bottled water should be provided in cabins. A few of the lunches were very good but-many of them were not good. the first day’s beef was over cooked & tough. The second day’s fish was over cooked & dry. The captain’ s dinner was excellent. In Hvar we were brought in by water taxi & the yacht stayed out until almost 9 o’clock & had to sit around all day waiting to get back on board. Exhausting sitting waiting after dinner to board. No place to sit if you had already left the restaurant. Just sitting around killing time. We had a below deck cabin, which was recommended by the agent because they are quieter. She did not tell us that we had to climb three flights of stairs every time we wanted to go up to the top deck where everyone congregated. We are both 80 & she should have known that when she made the recommendation. Is it something that I would recommend? Yes! Swimming in the Adriatic every day was wonderful & the islands are beautiful.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate all your comments and have taken these onboard for future improvements. We are really happy to hear you enjoyed your time in Croatia, especially seeing the beautiful islands and daily swimming in secluded bays along the Adriatic - it's just bliss isn't it! Implemented in 2017, we removed all included water bottles from our fleet and replaced each ship with water coolers, promoting guests to bring their own reusable water bottle onboard and doing our part for environmental sustainability. Our chefs aim to provide a variety of meals, using fresh local produce - we are sorry that you didn't enjoy all the meals served, however we are pleased that you found the Captain's dinner enjoyable. We aim to get our guests into Hvar as this is one of the most popular destinations and busiest ports, so we hope you enjoyed your meal in this vibrant town. Next time, we would recommend booking an Above Deck cabin for the ease of having your cabin door opening on to the main deck and avoiding those flights of stairs. Thank you again for your review and for choosing to travel with us!
- boat cabins were very damp/musty and particularly the bathrooms smelled very moldy. It made it very unpleasant to be in there, and contributed to a number of us getting sick - the hikes and timelines felt very disorganized with locations changing and guides seeming to not know the route at multiple locations. There was often confusion with timelines where it would be stated different to what was posted or it would change last minute resulting in the need to scramble on or off the boat. - there was no contingency plan or second hike in the case that we were stuck somewhere multiple days or if there was an interest in a different level of hike intensity.

Hi there and thank you for your review. Upon checking the onboard feedback submitted, we are pleased to see you rated the crew 5 stars, the onboard meals 4 stars and the boat in general 4 stars, thank you. We are sorry to hear of your cabin issues. I have checked our internal records and cannot see that these issues were reported to our onboard rep. Had these issues been raised, we would have resolved them with urgency. We understand that due to strong winds the ship was unable to depart Vis, so for the safety and wellbeing of all guests, the captain decided to remain in Vis where you rep organised a museum visit and wine tasting excursion. We hope that the issues onboard didn't detract from your overall experience onboard and in Croatia as a whole. Thank you again for all your comments.
There are areas that need to be improved before I can recommend sailing with Sail Croatia. The cabins weren't very clean. When we checked in, there was hair on the bathroom floor. I also dropped my book under the bed and upon retrieving it found an old condom wrapper on the floor. The lack of proper ventilation in the cabins has led to mold starting to grow. By the end of the week, our entire group was sick from sleeping in the cabins. The entire week was poorly organized. Each day it seemed like the crew was making up the schedule as they went. We understood that weather can be a factor, however there were no contingency plans if the weather was poor. The hikes were also poorly organized. The guide had no idea how to manage the varying abilities of passengers. A couple of times he got lost because he had only done the hike one time before. He kept saying well now I'll know for next time.

Hi there and thank you for your review. We really appreciate all your comments and suggestions for improvements. All our ships are thoroughly cleaned prior to the arrival of new guests, so we are sorry to read of your disappointment with the cleanliness. I have checked our internal records, and cannot see any reports of this to our crew. This would have been rectified immediately upon notifying our onboard rep. However, I have highlighted this to the Operations Manager, thank you. We understand that there was a schedule change due to strong winds, and the alternative option was to go back to Vis where museum visit and wine tasting was organised for you. We appreciate your comments on the guide, he has received 4-5 star ratings for this departure so we are disappointed to read your comments and these will be passed on to our Operations Manager for training and quality purposes. Upon checking the onboard feedback you submitted, we are happy to know you enjoyed the lunches and found the crew to be a welcomed inclusion. Thank you again for all your comments, this is appreciated.
I booked Sail Croatia expecting a full on cycling tour. I had hoped to be cycling a fair distance everyday and for most of the day. I was disappointed as the week went on that the cycling seem to lessen rather than increase and by the last day we did a mere 11k. With the longest day being around 40K. To me this is not a cycle holiday. I was also disappointed with the standard of the boat which was very old and tired. My cabin was in the basement and was very tatty and rather grubby. The water would not drain from the floor area around the toilet and the smells which came from the bathroom were revolting. These were fixed quickly whenever pointed out but there was a definite problem with the plumbing. The general state of the boat was similar, there was insufficient seating outside and only deckchairs for 10 holding a boat of 22 so nowhere to relax. As it stands I would not book with Sail Croatia again as I feel the standard of accomodation and cycling rather poor.

Hi there and thank you for your review. It was a pleasure having you join our Cycle cruise this season and we hope you enjoyed some aspects of your cruise. However, we are disappointed to read of your disappointment with the cycling and accommodation aspect of your cruise. On our website we display the cycle specifications including the distance, difficulty, max altitude, total ascent/descent and surface levels, this is so that our potential customer's can choose a route that best suits them. Our cycle cruises also offer a balance of relaxation, sightseeing and cycling, and gives our guests the opportunity to see some of the most amazing places. I see that you booked our Ensuite option, I would recommend a Premier cabin in future, as these are much more comfortable offering spacious cabins, ensuite and air-conditioning. We are pleased to hear that the issues were quickly resolved once our representative was made aware, we thank you for following our Resolution Process. We do hope that you join us sometime in the future on a Premier ship and perhaps on one of our more challenging routes, as we are sure you will enjoy yourself! Thanks again.
The cabin rooms could have been a bit more spacious. While we spent very little time in our cabins ( except to sleep), they really were small.
- Patrick, 10/09/2019 04:31, Travelled in a Couple
Hi there. It's great to hear you had a really great trip! Our Standard ship cabins are smaller than the other ship types, this is stated on the website. I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed with the size of your cabin but pleased that you still enjoyed your time in Croatia. Thank you for joining us!
I have done 4other cycling trips. This was my least favorite for 3 reasons:. The very hot uncomfortable bunk room, the short uneventful cycle trips, and the amount of smoking from the crew. This was the smallest room we have ever stayed in. The person on the top bunk did not get any sleep. We have never been given 1 towel, for a week, trip. The smoking was excessive. Because the room was so uncomfortable, you had no choice but to be on deck.. because the cycling time was so short, there was an excessive amount of time on the boat. Smoke came in our front porthole even though smoking was limited to the back. It made my throat burn. I think only 1 other passenger smoked occasionally. On other trips we left after breakfast, packed a lunch and returned some time before dinner. There were places to visit along the bike route. The guides gave tours of the loactions we passed. We had one rain day with no rain, and they cut our last day in 1/2 due other people messed up travel pl

Hi there and thank you for your review. We are truly sorry to hear that our Northern route was your least favourite amongst the other cycle trips completed. We offer a range of accommodation styles to suit everyone's requirements and budgets, our Ensuite cabins exclude air-conditioning however, do have a fan for additional comfort. We recommend a Premier ship as these cabins are spacious, include ensuite and air-conditioning, so are perfect for the warmer months. We provide 1x bath towel, however you are welcome to request an additional towel subject to availability. We understand that you were scheduled to join this ship however, as you had friends on another ship, we managed to accommodate your last minute request and moved you from an Ensuite Lower Deck cabin to an Ensuite Above Deck cabin, where you were much more comfortable. On each of our ships there is a designated smoking area which is generally located towards the back of the ship. In saying this, I have highlighted the smoking issue to the Operations Manager to discuss further with the captain. We hope that you enjoyed the meals served, the tours of each location and the bike routes. We hope that overall the issues didn't detract from your overall enjoyment of Croatia. Thank you again!
I find it deceiving that you call it "sail" croatia and they aren't sail boats. We were directed to only the main tourist spots, where nothing was original and everything was overpriced. Each night was clubbing or nothing, and there was never a recommended cool laid back wine night or beer spot or cafe. The crew was great and our guide was awesome... but I think this tour company needs to market themselves more accurately and honestly. Ultimately, it was a disappointment for me and travel time could have been better spent.
- Andrea, 09/09/2019 02:08, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi there, thank you for your review and for joining us this season in Croatia. I am sorry to hear you were disappointed with some points of the tour. Our company name is Sail Croatia and we do offer multiple different options to our clients along the Adriatic coast line. We have our Under 39 Yacht Tours on sailing boats, cruises on small motor cruises and also Private Yacht Tours, also on sailing boats. Our website does clearly show the vessels used for each option and on our Navigator cruise page also gives you more information on our Standard ships which is what you booked with us. Thank you for your feedback here and I do hope this did not deter you from having a great time in Croatia. Thank you for joining us.
We upgraded to the premier navigator cruise and had a ship that was not nearly up to the standard of the ships depicted in the ‘premier navigator’ video. Our ship was basic only with the added extra of aircon. The crew were fantastic however the group asked for the spa, which was filthy, to be cleaned many times which wasn’t done. The spa was advertised as one of the premier added bonuses and it was extremely disappointing that we couldn’t use it. The food on board exceeded expectation.
- Madeleine, 04/09/2019 14:20, Travelled in a Couple
Hi there and thanks for your review. It's great to hear that the crew were a great inclusion on your cruise. The ships used on our Navigator Premier page vary in style, some more traditional, rustic wooden ships and others more modern steel ships. Our Premier ships offer spacious cabins, (generally 6-8m2) with ensuite and air-conditioning. The jacuzzi may not be available at all times due to conditions such as electricity consumption, fresh water usage onboard and weather conditions however, we will be investigating this further. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed the food - it's not easy producing great meals for so many people with a limited kitchen but the chefs manage to do that which is amazing. Thanks again.
Lets start with the good experience. Staff onboard the ship Captain, Sailor and Tour guide were fantastic! It is them that makes the trip worth while. On another note, the sales team are terrible with their service. I told them from the beginning I am travelling with my partner and requested a double bed. They said it depends on the availability as first come first serve. When we got onboard, two girls who DID NOT request for a double bed got one and my partner and i got stuck on a bunk bed. There were only 3 couples on the ship. 2 whom got a double bed, except us. I would have been fine with it had we missed out because we booked later and the 3 doubles were already requested. It is upsetting when somebody gets .a room they didnt request and someone who really really wanted it doesnt. The rooms are ridiculously small and most of all there is no air circulation, if you left your door open, you would smell diesel, or others coming back in the early hours from partying. RIDICULOUS!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us with your review and feedback of your Navigator cruise with us this season. We are so pleased to hear that you were happy with the staff on board and that they really made the trip for you. I understand we have been in touch with you via email with regards to your comments on the double bedded cabin. Bedding arrangements are never guaranteed on our Navigator cruises, I'm afraid. This was advised prior to booking and travel. Your further feedback has been passed onto the relevant departments and I do hope this did not deter you from having an amazing time in Croatia. Thank you for joining us.
Overall the boat was good on the marija magdalena. There was no ac so it was impossible to sleep and could be purchased but only if 12 out of the 18 people on the boat agreed to pay. The downside was there was also no freedom during our stops in the towns. Our rep planned 5 of our 7 dinners with many of the food being disapointing. When we requested to do our own thing and meet at the boat for "happy hour" we were made to feel guilty about not going along with what he had planned. I understamd that he eats for free or makes comission by taking us as a large group to these meals which we shouldnt be forced to do as they are not included in the price of the sail. Our rep also spent most nights drinking and on the morning of our departure was too hungover to get up and awnser questions we had that morning which almost resulted in me missing my flight. The only good things were the food on the boat prepared by the cook, which were included in the price and the swim spots.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback. I am pleased to read overall you did like your ship Marija Magdelena - one of our Ensuite ships. As per our website our Ensuite ships do not have air-conditioning in the cabins included, however our Premier ships do. If you would like air-conditioning we advise booking a Premier ship. Your Representative will provide you with recommendations in each location, however it is entirely up to you how you spend your time in Croatia. You're welcome to eat where you'd like in the evenings. I will however pass this feedback onto our Operations Manager, thank you. I hope this did not deter you from having a great time in Croatia. Thank you for joining us.
No changes

Thank you for your review and a great week on board.
In all I had a great time on the Split Return - Navigator tour. We chose to go Premier and I was really happy with the boat and accommodation - very clean and spacious. Initially and at times during the week however, I found Sail Croatia staff to be unfriendly and rude. There were times staff burst in on our cabin which I found to be an invasion of privacy. Food was generally okay - would be good to have a menu provided for the week. The onboard BBQ was a highlight though - the food was great!! Should also not that the vast majority of passengers are from Australia (32 of 36 passengers on my boat) - obviously not an issue, just a slight surprise!
- Kate, 19/08/2019 16:34, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your time on our Navigator cruise, the accommodation and found the food to be a highlight! However, we are really disappointed to hear that some of the staff were unprofessional at times. This will be passed on to the Operations Manager - thank you for bringing this to our attention. Our cruises are popular with Antipodeans as well as travellers from other parts of the world. Sounds as though your cruise and departure date was well sought after my our Australian travellers😊.
We traveled on Crystal for our honeymoon on 7/27.Our host Mia was very hospitable and attentive through out our stay.During our stay on Crystal we enjoyed the swim spots and the spacious layout of the boat.It was a great way to travel about the country. The cruise was advertised as being for "young professionals" however we found ourselves on a boat with the majority of the guests being in their 60's and a family with teenagers, not what we expected nor what we wanted.Bar tending was the most disappointing part of the experience. Both of our servers could pour beer/wine, but that was it.The bar menu listed cocktails, but the 2 employees could only make 4 different drinks (all of which tasted awful).Tatiana would only make an Aperol Spritz, and had a less than welcoming disposition. They both sat on the couch on their phones and made us feel like we were inconveniencing them when we ordered a drink. The trip was lovely but for a honeymoon& price we expected the crew to be more hospitable.
- Rebekah, 15/08/2019 01:58, Travelled with Family
Thank you so much for your review. Thank you for choosing to spend part of your honeymoon with us. We are pleased to hear that your host Mia was very hospitable and attentive during the cruise. It's also nice to know that you enjoyed your accommodation onboard Crystal and found the cabins nice and spacious. The amazing swim stops are just lovely aren't they! We are sorry to read of your disappointment with some aspects which I wish to expand on; our Explorer cruises generally appeal to travellers who feel they fit within our 'young professionals and young at heart' description, however are open to all ages over 15 years as mentioned under our FAQ page. We appreciate you sharing your experience with us and we will be looking into further training for the bar staff and will pass your comments on to the Operations Manager to investigate further, thank you. We hope that these issues didn't detract from gorgeous Croatia as a whole. Thank you.
When booking the sail I informed them about our dietary requirements when on the boat the staff had no idea about my dietary requirements. The staff were very helpful and accommodated to me but I think it is very poor communication from the sales staff who we booked through to the staff on the ship.
- Anna, 14/08/2019 10:56, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi there and thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear the crew accommodated your dietary requirements and you were able to enjoy more of the foods you can eat daily. I have checked our records, and can see that your dietary requirements were noted and passed on to the crew via the Sales Team. We are sorry to hear that the crew were not aware of these requirements and we will be looking into this further. Having a look at your feedback for the week, we are really happy to see that you rated us 5 stars for everything and 4 stars for your lunch. We hope that this didn't detract from your overall experience on the cruise. Thank you.
The cabins were dirty
- Angela, 12/08/2019 02:55, Travelled with Friend/s
We thank you for your review. We have a rigorous process in place for any issues that arise which are rectified immediately, if we are made aware. Upon checking our internal records, I cannot find any such reports raised with your representative and I'm sorry to hear about your cabin. Looking at your feedback for the week, we are pleased to know you found the crew great, the boat in general 5* and that you would recommend us to others, thank you!
The trip was amazing. The only suggestions I would make would be to have more chances to do optional activities. Most of the activities we signed up for ended up not going ahead due to not enough people signing up . The Tarin crew and Zach were amazing and really made the trip that much better.
- Anonymous, 05/08/2019 19:35, Travelled in a Couple
Thank you so much for your review! As excursions operate on minimum numbers, if there is not enough interest for a particular excursion, this will not go ahead which is very unfortunate for those wanting to join. There are a number of excursions available during your week which your Onboard Rep can assist with. Thanks so much, we will pass your comments on to the Tarin crew and Zach!
Get a captain that actually likes young people seeing as it is a cruise for youth and partying. Staff members should be happy and willing to serve us on the boat, not treat it like its a hassle. When major stops are missed, equal opportunities or activities should be planned instead rather than wasting days at the same ports. The trip was disappointing.
- Abby, 05/08/2019 05:38, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your review. The captain and ship have sailed our Navigator cruises for several years, so we are disappointed to read your comments. Having a look through our rigorous reports, I can see that in Korcula the ship experience an electrical failure in the morning and was repaired by midday - this resulting in the ship missing out on Mljet. Your representative had organised a walk through the city in Korcula and as a gesture all guests onboard received a free BBQ. We hope that you enjoyed other aspects of the cruise and we thank you again.
Bathroom smelt awful, couldn’t sleep. Fans, wifi, electricity didn’t work. Food had too much oil and salt Not enough vegetarian options Not enough time at swim spots
- Darren, 31/07/2019 18:31, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your review. There are a couple of points in your review that I just need to clarify for other travellers considering booking with us. We are sorry to hear of the issues mentioned. We have a very rigorous process in place for handling any such issues that may arise, and we will effectively resolve these immediately if we are made aware of the situation. Upon checking our reports, I cannot find any incident being raised regarding the bathroom, wifi, fans and electricity. In saying this, we will be raising these points to the Operations Manager for future improvements . Having a look at the feedback provided, we thank you for giving us 5-stars for your cabin overall and would recommend us to others, thank you. We hope these issues didn't detract from your overall experience.
We had rooms on the lower deck of the boat. There was constant smells of petrol in these cabins (even worse when it was rough seas because the boat motor was working even harder) ... it actually was a huge health and safe issue with it being so much gas at one point I had to go upstairs to get air because I felt so dizzy. There was not a running air conditioning( or air vents anywhere) that allowed for fresh air to be pumped into these cabins so it was really not a great experience to sleep/ stay on board. This wouldn’t be acceptable in Australia or New Zealand, as of the health and safety risks here but because it is Croatia this slipped by. Really not up to standards.
- Anonymous, 26/07/2019 06:53, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi there and thank you for your review. We have a rigorous process in place for handling any issues that may arise whilst you are on our your cruise. Following this process gives us the opportunity to try and resolve an issue during the trip, and work with you in finding a suitable solution to ensure all parties are happy, if given this opportunity. Looking through our internal reports, we cannot find any record of your dissatisfaction with your cabin, nor have there been any incidents raised for such issues on your ship this season. As you had booked our Ensuite ship, there is a port hole in your cabin for extra ventilation. Air-conditioning is not included on this particular ship type, however we recommend our Premier ships for this amenity. We are pleased to know that your travel companion found all services on this cruise to be of high standards, with ratings of 4-5 stars. We hope that these issues didn't detract from your overall experience and again, we thank you for all your comments.
Would prefer much more time onshore at less tourist ridden stops. Coffee and tea in the evening should be included free of charge. Better communication about stops and options for making the most of e@ch stop
- Beryl, 23/07/2019 19:20, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your review. We aim to get the balance just right which gives our guests the flexibility of visiting both popular and more quieter destinations, as well as ensuring guests have enough time both on land and at sea, with some of our gorgeous swim stops in secluded bays overlooking the Adriatic. Pots of Tea and coffee is available free of charge during saloon opening hours and generally what happens onboard, is the daily schedule is outlined just after lunch, which includes sightseeing recommendations and important information on departure. We will certainly pass your comments regarding better communication channels to our Operations Manager. Thank you.
This product is advertised as a party cruise however our cruise manager was barely seen, we had noise curfews of 10pm in place every night, activities were restricted and also too many people on activities if you do decide to go on them. Barely any communication from cruise manager and boat staff e.g. change of docking location ending in 20km journey to town and not to mention docking at a terrible dock for 2 nights. Very disappointed in Sail Croatia, the only thing that made this Sail good was that we were with 20 of our friends on the cruise. I felt sorry for the people on the cruise who were solo or couple travellers because of the lack of organisation. Definitely wouldn't recommend.
- Milly, 23/07/2019 07:22, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your review. Just a few points I wish to highlight for anyone thinking of joining our cruises, our cruise manager's are available 24/7 and are available to provide you with all the information and assistance you require. We do have strict noise curfews in place which varies from port to port and is outlined in our Ship Rules via your pre-departure information. For the safety of all guests, the captain decided that it was best to dock in Stari Grad (on Hvar Island) for the 2 nights due to severe storm announcements. I understand your cruise manager had organised transfers to and from Hvar. We are really pleased that you enjoyed the company of your fellow travellers and upon checking our feedback for your departure, we are also happy to see that some of the other travellers in your group enjoyed their cruise experience. Thank you again for your review.
Sail did not exceed my expectations. There were far too many girls on board and it was a mess upon arrival with our towels stained. Our speakers were too quiet with none on the top deck - where everyone sat. The guide Zac did an amazing job with including each guest and ensuring everyone was happy. Not only was he professional and had great knowledge but was also considered a friend among the guests - who went above and beyond to help us create life long memories. The crew did a great job at making the guests feel uncomfortable. It was clear that they didn’t like Zac (as they had openly said to other guests). The bartender said that she wanted to get him kicked off the boat. Alena lied to us about the price of the bell shots compared to other boats, and spread false and inappropriate rumours about fellow guests and Zac around the boat. I’ve never experienced a tour-guide to put as much effort into his job like Zac, who excelled in high pressure situations with a large number of guests

Many thanks for your review. I want to thank you for your feedback, we do really appreciate this as this enables us to improve for the future. Thank you for your comments on your Representative Zac, it's wonderful to hear he did such a great job on board with you and your fellow travellers. We do always try our best for an even mix of gender ratio, however this is not always possible due to the nature of bookings we receive. I've passed your comments on regarding the towels and speakers on board Navigator to our Operations Manager, thank you for brining this to our attention. We do appreciate you as a valued customer of ours and are glad the issues raised did not deter you from having a great time on board. Thanks for joining us!
The tour manager was great (zac) he was friendly, Informative and extremely caring for us and always went to extreme lengths to make sure we were okay by the end of the trip it really felt like we had all formed a special bond with him - it was really upsetting to see the crew on board treat him poorly and act in a racist manner making his job 20x harder. They crew were not welcoming to him and did not treat him as a part of the team which as guests we could see it dampened his mood however he still kept his high spirits to ensure we were having the best time - i really enjoyed my time on the boat but honestly the only let down was the crew - the captain was rude and the bar tender was only out to harm the tour guide (hiding his ipad, his tip jar and telling guest that ringing the bell was the same price on all boats) - the rooms needed to be cleaned lightly and we should of been offered fresh towels

Hi there! Thank you for your review. I want to thank you for your feedback, we do really appreciate this as this enables us to improve for the future. It is great to hear you did have a great time on board and that your Representative Zac was friendly, informative and caring towards you all. I'm sorry to hear you felt this way about the crew and captain on board. I've advised our Operations Manager of this, thank you for drawing this to our attention. We do appreciate you as a valued customer of ours and are glad the issues raised did not deter you from having a great time on board. Thank you!
Zac really made our experience 100 times better. He went above and beyond to give us as much info on the town as possible. He helped the group intergrade very easily with his down to earth, friendly personality. I found many times the crew to be working against Zac, and while he was doing the best job possible they did not seem to be cooperating with him and this made his job a lot harder then it needed to be. Many times I found the crew to be unprofessional, spreading information relating to Zac which was untrue and created an unhealthy environment for guests to interact. The captain was not very interactive with the guests. Our belongings were chucked in the bin before we had even exited the boat without any prior warning. We had a large group of 42 guests but Zac did an amazing job to create such a good atmosphere and resolve any incidents as quickly as they arose. If it wasn’t for Zac our time on the boat would Not be the same and I can’t thank him enough for the memories made :)

Thank you for your review of your Navigator cruise with us this season. We're really are so pleased to hear what a wonderful Representative Zac was for you and the other 41 guests on board! I'll be sure to pass your kind words and thanks onto him and also our Operations Manager. I'm sorry to hear you felt this way about the crew and captain on board. I've advised our Operations Manager of this so that this can be improved for the future. Thank you so much for joining us this season!
Excursions were poorly planned with a lot of waiting time and timing did not make sense with the rest of the day scheduled. Swim stops were random in the middle of the sea and not in pretty locations as advertised. Some of the excursions offered were not even possible to complete due to timing constraints. The food was cheap, very small portions, and the drinks were under poured. Our ship was lucky enough to be equipped with AC which we paid for directly to the captain, except it "didn't work" 2/7 nights and we still had to pay for the full 7. The captain was very cheap and would shut it off thinking we wouldn't say anything. We weren't allowed to swim when parked in Port and there mostly wasnt time to beach bc of lunch at 1-230pm. Lunch was way too long for no reason. No snacks provided in between meals. They assumed as budget travelers we wouldn't notice all the corners they cut. Overall very poor. We left the boat 2 nights early. Would not recommend unless you want low class travel.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed with some aspects of your Navigator cruise. Excursions are subject to minimum and maximum numbers. Also, due to limited time in each location, some excursions do occur at the same time as others, it's not always possible to take part in more than one excursion at the same destination, I'm afraid. I've looked into your comment regarding the air-conditioning on board and you were booked onto an Ensuite ship where air-conditioning is not included in the cost of the cruise. I've been advised the captain did offer air-conditioning to the whole ship at an additional cost per person, per day and when this was not working for the final 2 days of the cruise this was then refunded back to everyone. It is not possible to swim in the ports as it is not safe to do so. This is a rule on board all of our ships as we would not want you to come into any harm by swimming where the ships are docked. Daily breakfast and a 3 course lunch is included in the cost of your cruise, however snacks between meals are not included. We have a process in place which is shown in your pre-departure information, so if you do have any issues at all on board we hope to resolve them before you disembark. I have looked into this further and I cannot see that you left the cruise early or raised any of these concerns with your on board Representative. We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with this feedback and we hope that you enjoyed other aspects of your cruise and that the issues onboard didn't detract from your overall experience and Croatia as a whole. Thank you.
Dear Sail Croatia Firstly I want to say Alex and I very much enjoyed the accommodation on the boat and we were very impressed with the helpful friendly staff. Generally we thought the holiday was good value. My only criticism was the quality of the lunches and the repetitive breakfast menu. Cordial substituted for orange juice wasn't appealing. On most days I couldn't eat the main meal. The food offered was poorly cooked. On one occasion the fish was undercooked and covered in a very thick sauce, inedible. The vegetables were often overcooked. The chicken breast was dry and tough.. The entrees and desserts were generally acceptable. Our group of 6 travellers discussed the food and we all agreed a barbecue or smorgasbord of fresh salads could be offered. I understand some guests enjoy a hearty 3 course lunch however I do think there is room for improvement with the food. I'm not sure whether its your budget or the skill of the cook, or both..

Hi there, thank you for taking time to leave us a review. We are really pleased to hear that you liked the accommodation on board and that you were impressed with the on board staff. Thank you for your comments on the food. Our chef tries to cater to a wide range of tastes, however at times we understand this is not always possible. We will pass your comments onto the relevant team so we can improve in the future. Thank you.
Constructive criticism, not sour grapes, these issues damage your brand Water in cabins daily, it’s not potable Shampoo, conditioner and tissues Quality white towels, as they were thin, discoloured and scratchy, changed more than once weekly, as they won’t dry in cabin Shower cleaned to a higher standard on checkin, understand cleaner only has an hour between changeover, ridiculous, get her help, they need bleach and a good scrub to remove obvious black scum. Ice on the table at meals ( which Antonio addressed) as the weather is hot and it’s unpleasant drinking warm water, your self serve outdoor water dispenser needs to be plugged in so it’s cold! These are minor but important. I made Antonio aware of these issues, echoed by the other guests on Day 1, who by the way is a great asset to you, he apparently notified head office., disappointing the simplest request, put water in the cabins didn’t eventuate! Cruise itself, and staff was excellent! The problems easily fixed!

Thank you for your review and all your comments and suggestions. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed the cruise and that the staff were excellent value. Our captain and crew work tirelessly to ensure all cabins are kept to the highest standards, so we are sorry to hear of the issues onboard. We have a rigorous process in place which ensures that no issues is left unresolved if we are made aware. Having had a look through our internal records, I cannot find any such issues being raised with our crew, representative or Operations Manager. Had we been made aware, the issues would have been resolved instantly. In saying this, we are pleased to know that you addressed the ice on the table with Antonio, and that this was addressed immediately, thank you. In regards to supplying bottled water and bottled amenities; shampoo, conditioner, soap, we try to do our part for the environment as there is certainly issues with environmental sustainability in Croatia, particularly in Dalmatia, and its islands. We have seen this rapid growth of tourism both within our own company and our competitors, which encouraged us to start our Green Sail initiative. Implemented in 2017, we removed all included bottled water from our fleet and replaced each ship with water coolers. At the start of every season, we also run our Green Sail Adventure where we organise beach clean ups, eco tours and education on current local issues. We are also currently trialing reusable water bottles onboard, with hopes that these will be available to purchase in 2020. These water bottles are made from biodegradable sugar cane and will help reduce plastic waste in Croatian waters. All your comments and suggestions will be passed on to our Operations Team as we would like to improve our services wherever possible and again, we thank you for all your comments.
The boat needs to be a higher standard the accommodation and food were disappointing. The staff need to recognize that they cyclist were of differing ability, working to the lowest was very frustrating for experienced cyclists. Communication is key and often we were confused about itineraries and routes.
- Sue, 07/06/2019 08:41, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for providing us with a review. I can see that you had booked a cabin on our Ensuite ship as we had no availability on our higher category ship - Premier. We have a guide and a representative travelling with our cycle guests daily, one at the front and one at the back. We feel that this allows for flexibility and to ensure that all fitness levels are catered for. Those of a higher fitness level are more than welcome to stick with our guide at the front. Daily scheduling is outlined by the representative each day, as this will provide you with all the information required before taking off on your cycle journey. We hope that you were able to enjoy other aspects of the cruise and we thank you again.
A lot of things weren't yet open as we went at the start of summer but there were no alternative plans and we weren't notified until the actual day - the cave bar was a big loss! There was nothing planned for the bad weather, it basically rained for the full week so swim stops, kayaking etc was not possible but we weren't given any alternative activities. 18-35 is too wide of an age gap. A 25-35 boat option would work well. The food was far too salty and the vegetarian options at times were poor- we seemed to just get grilled vegetables in replace for all of the meat at every meal! There were no snacks available on board which if you didn't enjoy lunch, aren't able to bring food on board and are somewhere in the middle of the sea can be quite frustrating!
- Susan, 03/06/2019 09:39, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your review. We understand that there were adverse weather conditions at the time of your cruise which is unavoidable and very unfortunate. Alternative solutions were offered however, as the weather effected the most part of the week, our Rep did everything possible to ensure everyone was enjoying themselves as much as possible. Snacks is something that we may look into for future seasons, we thank you for your comments here. We are sorry to hear about the meal options provided, our chefs try to cater to a wide range of tastes but at times, this is not possible - your comments will be passed on to the appropriate team. Thanks again!
We booked the sail for late May. The itinerary did not match what was guaranteed on the website. Major clubs were closed and some excursions were cancelled. We expected a party boat and the our boat “Tuna” was definitely not that. Absolutely no money from the captain has gone into this boat to make it fun. We sailed along side “Penelopa” (the standard boat - same route) and watched their boat have a whole different experience. They had speakers that were loud and actually worked. They had party lights. They had two bars. They had no noise restrictions. They had a silent disco. Our group on board Tuna felt ripped off as we got none of these party features, having paid more for the en-suite rooms. Six people left our boat due to the lack of vibe and other reasons. Not only that but the bar staff was unprofessional and quite unapproachable. This made us feel uncomfortable. If we didn’t have such a lovely group of people on board the experience would’ve been 1 star.
- Maddie, 03/06/2019 07:55, Travelled in a Couple
Thank you for your review. Upon checking your feedback for the week, we are really pleased to know you found the cleanliness of the cabin and meals to be 5-stars, thank you. In regards to the clubs and bars in Croatia, these are not guaranteed and are all subject to season opening times. Each of our boats are operated individually by the captain and crew, we are sorry to hear you found the overall experience was not as expected. We appreciate your comments regarding the crew, stereo speakers and party lights - all your comments will be passed on to the relevant department to look into this for you. We understand that there were adverse weather conditions at the time of your cruise which is unavoidable and very unfortunate. Alternative solutions were offered however, as the weather effected the most part of the week, our Rep did everything possible to ensure everyone was enjoying themselves as much as possible. We understand that some guests decided to depart early due to this. We hope that the issues didn't detract from your overall experience in Croatia and we thank you again for all your comments.
The boat crew, Steph, and Dimitri were great. Providing information about the local area and the cycle routes. Itinerary was adapted to meet needs of the group, and weather. Although this meant routes were different to those advertised. Lunch was served on board the boat each day, therefore dinner was bought in the local villages. Bring your tea bags as access to T&C limited.
- Kay , 29/05/2019 21:10, Travelled in a Couple
Hi there and thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that the boat crew were very informative and helpful. We understand that you had experienced some adverse weather conditions and we are glad that an alternative solution was offered and that the itinerary was amended slightly to cater to this. We don't include all meals, as we encourage you to try the local cuisine whilst you are out cycling during the day/in port for the evening as it's simply delicious. We will pass on your comments regarding T&C - thank you!
I would like to warn others considering booking any cruises with Sail Croatia. I had 8 items of ladies clothing taken from our cabin wardrobe after I had left them there after departing the ship. The cleaning staff came in immediately after we walked out, knocking on our door to get in while we were still packing up. In our haste the clothed were left behind. Not noticing they were missing until the next day, we emailed Sail Croatia and notified them. The cabin was apparently checked and nothing found. And that was the extent to which Sail Croatia went to try and get my clothes back from the cleaning staff who did our cabin. Visited the Sail Croatia office in Split expecting something at least to be done, they promised to stay in touch. I had to email them to try and get some answers. The "Operations Team" were contacted so I was told in a reply and nothing was found. Phoned the office and was told the clothes would have been disposed of! Very upset customer.

Thank you for your review. I can see from your onboard feedback, provided to us at the end of your cruise, that you gave us a rating of 5-stars, this overall rating includes; the staff, onboard meals, ship in general, optional excursions and your onboard representative. Thank you for this. However, we are sorry to hear of your disappointment mainly regarding the items left in your cabin. We do state on our Pre-departure information, and via the welcome speeches onboard, that all items must be removed from your cabin at the end of your cruise and that Sail Croatia will not be held liable for any lost items. I can see that you had also emailed us once you realised the items were left behind. Our process is that any left items found by the cleaning staff will be handed to our Lost Property team and logged via our internal records. However, once followed up with our Operations Team unfortunately no items were found by the cleaning staff. We have since provided you with an insurance letter so that you can recover the costs of the items via your Insurance company. We do hope that the result of your lost property didn't deter from the amazing 5-star experience you had onboard. Thank you again for your review!
There is no sound proofing outside the cabin so you can hear people talking in the hallways, doors opening, tables being moved above the cabin, made it very difficult to sleep. Very few people swam so stopping for this made the time with nothing to do too long. Other than the walking tour in Dubrovnik no others, would be more interesting to have more walking tours. I was surprised there were not more food options. No drinking water in the rooms was irritating. Only juice option was some kind of adulterated orange. There was too much time confined to the boat. Having people wandering through from other boats was strange and made me feel a little unsafe. If you pay extra to have the upper cabins, half the time your view is blocked and the room is dark because another ship is docked right next to you. There was a jacuzzi but not enough power to heat it and since the boat was docked right next to another boat people would be staring over at you.
- Anonymous, 28/05/2019 07:30, Travelled with Friend/s
It is wonderful that you enjoyed Croatia and its beautiful scenery and were happy with the service provided by the on board staff. With regards to your comments on cabins not being sound proof, in the Pre-Departure Information we do suggest to bring along a pair of ear plugs so that you won't hear passengers passing outside your cabin or between boats. Your comments have been passed onto our Operations Manager so that we can improve on all of your suggestions for the future, thank you for your comments here. Although there is no drinking water inside your cabin there is a water cooler available for you to use at all times whilst the salon area is open. The tap water on board is not drinkable, I'm afraid. Regarding boats being moored up together, this is standard with most small ship cruises. The ships are smaller than the larger ocean cruise ships and this allows them to visit the smaller more intimate ports not accessible by larger vessels or where sometimes the larger cruise ships have to dock out at sea and use smaller tender boats to get ashore, meaning you would have less time exploring and will need to stick to time schedules. Harbours are therefore a lot smaller with limited space for mooring. We do appreciate you as a valued customer of ours and are glad the issues raised did not deter you from having a great time in Croatia. Thank you!
Cycling was great : quality of the accommodation and food was very poor: company and staff were great fun

Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed the cycling aspect of the cruise and found the company and staff were great fun! We appreciate your comments on the accommodation and food, and this will be passed on to the appropriate departments. Thank you again!
I suggest more freecycling, Hand out a map and give a time to be back on the boat. It was nice to have a guide, but really not necessary, the islands are small and not much chance of getting too lost. It would be different if the guide was giving tourist/historical information along the way, but that wasn't the case. Lunches would be better had in the villages or a picnic giving Time to explore the villages & countryside. Dinner would be better on the boat, giving time to get to know other passengers over a beer or 2 and would up the bar takings.! I suggest dedicating one smoking zone away from the meals area. (which we did manage to negotiate) but that should be automatic practice. We had an amazing Captain, Vedran, He could get that boat in and out of anywhere and was Always open to sharing information with us if we visited him. Lara did a great job with her briefings before rides. And Tamara, super pleasant, was faultless in the meals and bar area. All in all a fun week.
- Judy, 27/05/2019 13:58, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi there and thank you for your review. We are really please do to hear you found the captain amazing and informative and in regards to Lara and Tamara, we are happy to hear you were well informed prior to your cycle journey each day and well fed and served at the bar - we will pass your comments on to them. Map books are provided and given out at the beginning of the cruise, and we will be following this up for you. You are welcome if there are days where you would prefer to go off on your own and meet the rest of the group at a later stage, you would just need to make your Representative aware. On some days, dinner may be provided instead of lunch if this fits in better with the day’s itinerary – the guide will advise you of this during the week. We have dedicated smoking areas, towards the back of the boat and we are pleased that this was all sorted for you. We thank you for all your comments and are pleased you had a fun week!
Rides need to be more flexible with maybe dinner not lunch each day to include more cycling and island exploring. I’m gluten free and food was very average. Captain, bar staff and guides were awesome and very friendly. Rooms were average and a little uncomfortable. Overall I had a great cruise but would maybe do different next time. Also I’d preferred an upper room and where told no, put whilst on board others book much later with above cabins...

Hi there and thank you for your review. It's great to hear the captain, guides and bar staff were very friendly and that overall, you had a great cruise. However, we are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with some aspects of the cruise. Dinner and lunches are organised to fit in and around the daily cycling schedule which can vary from day to day. Our chef aims to prepare more of the foods that you can eat daily, and you are also welcome to bring any special dietary foods onboard the ship. Availability on our ships can change daily, and it's always best to check with us for live availability so amendments can be made. Again thank you for taking the time to send your review.
Wifi needs to work :)

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your review! WIFI is restricted to mobile network coverage and download limits apply as advertised on our website. We hope to see you with again soon!
Wouldn’t recommend for people over 27, sailing croatia team did not keep in mind that we are 30 and putting us with a group that was 22 and younger .... big age difference.
- Olivia, 10/07/2018 19:20, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your review! Our Navigator cruises are aimed at travellers aged 18 to 35 years old. The ages of travellers on board are dependant on the bookings we receive on any given departure, but will be in said age bracket. We do hope to see you with us again!
Meals were not up to my expectations. There were no attempts by staff to help the travellers mingle and get to know each other at the beginning of the cruise. A wine and cheese on the first night would have been good.
- Anonymous, 29/05/2018 13:44, Travelled in a Couple
Thank you for your review. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we’re sorry to hear that meals didn't meet your expectations. I have looked into all reviews provided for your departure and have found that rating and traveller satisfaction was very high for this week. Thank you for your recommendation in regards to wine and cheese being offered on the first night. We will be sure to pass your feedback to our team. We thank you again for submitting your review and we hope that you enjoyed your time in Croatia overall.
It was not made clear in the description of the cruise that you are stuck on the boat cruising until 2pm EVERY day. The food portions were inadequate. The protein couldn't have been more than 4 oz per meal There was nothing available in between. We are not large cruisers - so we are not comparing the food to the gluttonous option aboard 4,000 passenger cruise ships. The ship was fine as were the cabins and staff.
- Anonymous, 22/05/2018 18:17, Travelled with Family
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review! We are really pleased to hear that you were happy with the ship, your cabin and that staff looked after you. Thank you for your valuable feedback in regards to food portions and protein in your meals. We cater for special dietary requirements and any feedback provided on board is passed on to the chef. The scheduling of each day is well-paced to ensure there is a good balance of relaxation and exploration in each island. The Captain will stop for a swim stop each day in the course of the morning to provide an opportunity for a refreshing swim before you reach your destination in the afternoon. Thank you again for your feedback and we hope to see you again with us sometime soon.
Free tea and coffee available on the boat outside meal times. More hanging space for wet clothing and more pegs.
- susan, 13/10/2017 15:37, Travelled with Family
Thank you for your review. Tea & Coffee availability is something we are currently looking into for future seasons. Thank you for your suggestion of more hanging space and pegs, this will be passed on to the Operations Team for potential future improvements. Thank you.
The boat was not equal genders which effected the vibe. The tour leader could have been a lot better and overall it just wasn't as fun as we expected
- B, 08/08/2017 14:58, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi there and thank you for your review regarding our Navigator cruise. We are sorry to hear the demographics onboard effected the vibe on your boat. We always aim to get a good mix of travellers on all our boats, taking into consideration age, nationality, gender and group makeup - couples, singles and groups of friends. However the makeup of the boat is heavily reliant on who has booked. This particular week we had more females than males book on your cruise across all boat. We do hope that you enjoyed your time in Croatia as a whole. Thanks again.
Good espresso coffee would make a wonderful start to the day and should be on offer when passengers are on board. Refrigerated water or a means of cooling water in hot summer weather would add to customer comfort. A change of cabin linen half way through would be great. Meals were good apart from overcooked vegetables. Stan Law was the best part of our trip - Stan put 119% effort.into his passengers comfort. He was knowledgeable (though sometimes too talkative) and willing to assist in whatever way he could. We were not expecting him to give us a tour of the towns we overnighted in - very helpful as a quick orientation; so please keep it up. All staff were courteous and willing, but I do wonder whether they risk burn out having to work 24/7 for 6 months. Perhaps some time off may between 7 day cruises may circumvent this in the longer term - something management should consider. Valuing your staff goes a long way!

Absolutely loved Sail Croatia. Would highly recommend the Navigator Cruise for anyone who likes to party and wants to make some new friends! The rooms were spacious and the food was good. 10/10
- Anonymous, 31/07/2017 06:35, Travelled with Friend/s
Although the cruise was lovely and we explored some fantastic water and towns - for the price we paid 8 couldn't help being a little disappointed. We were not given 1 litre of water per day as promised and instead had to use individual cups from a water dispenser. Fresh towels also should have been provided in order to maintain better hygiene - our boat had an outbreak of gastro. All in all, a fun experience but definitely some room for improvement. Our crew was great as was our leader.
- Caitlyn, 03/07/2017 07:26, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your review. We are really pleased to hear you had a fun experience onboard your cruise visiting some of the most amazing towns and islands, and that your leader and crew were of great value, thank you for your comments here. We thank you for your comments on the water and towels, we no longer provide 1 litre bottles of water, instead we provide unlimited access to a water cooler that is accessible to use during salon opening hours. Upon request, the crew will be more than happy to change your towel for you. We are pleased that overall, you enjoyed your time on the cruise and in Croatia as a whole.
Lots of delays while waiting for people to get organised. Believe two small cycling groups would have been better rather than keeping such a big group together. Apart from breakfast, which was great, food was generally of a very poor standard compared to what was being served on other sail and cycle boats. An onboard bbq would have been a nice touch. Tinned soup, stewed meat (not sure what sort most of the time), mashed potatoes and either tinned fruit or very thin slices of cake as dessert not the best end to a very energetic day of cycling. Guides were lovely and our steward was great. The ebikes were an absolute must and made the very steep hills a pleasure to ride on.
- Debra, 20/09/2016 06:37, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi there, thank you for your feedback regarding your Cycle Cruise. It is great to hear you found your guides lovely and steward great. With regards to the food quality on the ship, we aim to be consistent in the meals provided and expect this to be of a high standard. Based on customer feedback, we will be looking at introducing new and exciting menu’s on-board for the 2017 Season. This will include more nutritious and healthy meal options, all made with fresh, local produce. There was a high demand on your departure, so we had added another ship to join this cycle cruise – so the sizes of the groups had increased, and so did the number of guides. From a social perspective, we thought this would be fun for guests to have a larger number of travellers, however based on our experiences this season, we will definitely be looking into changing this for next year and not repeat this, so we thank you for your comment here. We sincerely appreciate the time taken to write your review.
Nice boat/ship and cabin very nice apart from being smelly. You do get used to the smell quickly so no big deal. Wifi is close to useless. Patchy and not available in cabins. No tea/coffee available but you can purchase an average way overpriced wine. Lunches were fantastic. Breakfast service average. Often waiting on food or certain things not available. Wine poor quality. And five times retail price. No towels for swimming. Other less commercially focused tours in the area are much better. SC charge premium fee but they penny pinch. Never again. And cash only for bar tab???? It's 2016.
- Fiorenza, 13/09/2016 06:39, Travelled with Friend/s
"Hi, thank you for your feedback on your Elegance cruise. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the boat surroundings, found your cabin to be very nice and enjoyed your 3-course lunches. However, we are sorry to hear there was a smell in your cabin. We have rigorous procedures in place for any issues that arise on-board our cruises, which is included in the pre-departure information emailed to you before the cruise and is outlined at the welcome speech. The first step is to communicate with the crew. If this does not resolve the issue, the second step is to contact our representative in which case we log this in our central reporting and manage the issue onboard until it is fully resolved and customers are happy. We also supply the contact details for our Operations Manager and Managing Director in the unlikely event you are disatisfied with any response from our team members. This procedure does then give us the opportunity to resolve an issue during the trip and follow up or check historical issues. Upon checking our reports, I could not find any notification from you to a member of staff. Had we been made aware of the smelly cabin issue, we would have resolved this immediately for you. The Wi-Fi onboard is subject to data limits and network coverage whilst at sea, however I have passed your comments onto our Operations Team so they can check if additional upgrades are available. Towels for showering are provided in your cabins, however if you require additional towels for swimming these can be requested on-board. With regards to your comment about the drinks prices, these do vary and our prices range from 180-380 Kuna (£18-£40) per bottle of wine. The wines are professionally selected and are also stocked based on the feedback from all guests and local availability. Regarding the cash only bar tab, this is something we are looking into for the future cruises - thank you for your feedback on this.
The food was cold and took too Long to serve. Iit was good food though and the chef is fabulous. There was a young girl on board who appeared to do nothing and could of helped serve the food or collect the dirty plates. The billing system for drinks is very unusual and being cash only seems questionable. The ship and its facilities were first class and the cleanliness of the rooms could not be faulted. The sailors all worked very hard and continued to clean when we were at swim stops (which were also brilliant)). I lived all the ports and staying in port overnight was also excellent. It was a little disappoinring that our hostess wasn't more visual around the ship however she was very helpful when called upon - especially when we had a member of our group who had mobility issues. She made sure the car was nearby at the end of our trip so we didn't have to walk far. These were minor issues that did take the gloss off what was a spectacular cruise.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your Elegance Split Return South cruise. It is fantastic to hear that you thought the ship was first class, the cabins could not be faulted, the food and chef to be fantastic and found your Representative to be very helpful. It sounds as though you had a lovely time. Your comments regarding the system used for bar tabs has been taken into consideration, and we are implementing a new system next season. I have passed your comments on to our Operations Team about the food being cold and the delay in being served, we understand that food quality whilst you're on holiday is a big factor so I am sorry that this had an impact on your cruise. In saying this, we are pleased to hear it was still enjoyable. Thank you again for your feedback.
Firstly I\'ve done your cruise 3 times now on various boats and trips and routes. I think you do a great job and everyone has a really good time. There are a few things I\'d like to mention. One is your website, it\'s a little confusing and I say this as I understand your concept and how it works now but it took me a few trips to work it out, and I can tell the passengers didn\'t understand the levels of boats really and there were some younger ones on the young professional cruise who didn\'t know you could go on the premier plus but do the 18-35\'s and I think it\'s a shame as it would have been better for them. They loved it all the same but I know what they are missing. The young professionals has a lot of couples and for me was almost like going on my own as didn\'t want to intrude and couples like to be with other couples so at times I was alone on the young professionals. I also think rather than book all on line till the website is clearer people should call and it should be explained.

Thank you for your feedback - it was great to have you join us for the 3rd time! We are always looking at ways to improve our website and make it as clear as possible so that our guests can find the right cruise for them. To make it easier for guests using our website, under our Navigator cruise for example, we have prices for all our available Navigator boats as well as images of our Navigator boat types which show our boat range, from Standard to Premier Plus. We also have an online cruise assessment which is available to assist our guests in finding the right cruise for them. If a guest is unsure about which cruise to book, we are of course here to assist. We are pleased to hear some of the younger travellers had a good time overall and glad you also had a great time with us. Thank you again for your feedback.
The communication to passengers of last minute changes to the itinerary. Changes were for the worst and not for the better. Some examples of our experience were; docking boat at the same port on consecutive nights & not being able to dock in Hvar. Hvar being a highlight. Not having the opportunity to visit the Blue Caves (aparently due to bad weather & poor choice in schedule change as we had 2 days in the area). It just so happens the same occurred to friends of ours on a previous Sail Croatia cruise. We had a tour leader who was un-enthusiastic most of the time and provided misguided advice at ports, The activities were over priced and not value for money.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I am sorry to hear that you felt the communication to passengers regarding itinerary changes wasn't clear. On some occasions the Captain may change the itinerary due to weather and does this for the safety of passengers. Whilst at the time of docking the weather may seem perfect, this can in fact change drastically within a few hours and the captain will be aware of this hours in advance. In ports such as Hvar where it is quite open and susceptible to rocky seas if a storm strikes the captain may decide to dock at Stari Grad where the port is fully protected. As the boats will be docked for around 12 hours, for the safety of our guests he will decide to dock at the safest port possible that offers the most protection from stormy weather. Customer service is very important to us here at Sail Croatia, and we want to ensure passengers have a positive experience whilst on their cruise, your comments about your Sail Croatia Representative have been passed on to our Operations Manager for further training in this area. We pride ourselves on supporting local businesses and work with local suppliers to provide excursions for our guests that cater to all budgets, we also have the excursion prices listed on our website to help with budgeting prior to the cruise. Thank you again for your review.
I was very disappointed in this your due to the fact that I was combined with a very large group who had booked together and further, several older couples. I am a young solo traveller and was not put with other like minded individuals. The group I was put with seemed to be more like an explorer group and even though Nagivators are designed for 18-35 year olds there were people on board that were much older. This did not make my time fun at all. Further, I feel it was selfish for sail Croatia to place such a combination of people together, given that I had paid so much for the trip. I will not be booking with sail Croatia ever again.

Hi there and thank you for your feedback on our Navigator Return cruise. We have had a look into this for you and can see that we had a good mix of couples, groups of friends and 6x single travellers on-board your boat - with most travellers aged from mid-late 20s. We see that you also had a friend book on your boat - and we hope they enjoyed their cruise also. We always aim to get a good mix of guests on our boats, taking into consideration age, nationality, gender, solo travellers, couples and groups. However, this heavily depends on who has booked. We hope you enjoyed Croatia as a whole and we thank you for providing feedback.
Be specific about what extras are offered for your sail. We wanted to do zip lining and i had previously emailed sail croatia to ensure we would have a chance to do it. Get on our boat and ask first day to be told not in our itinerary which was disappointing. We asked again if we would have time and were told no. We rearranged our trip back from dubrovnik to zagreb and when we stopped in omis and did the zip lining we would have definately been able to complete this in time before the boat departed omis. Other than that. Trip was great.

Thanks for your feedback and we hope you enjoyed your Navigator cruise with us. Zip Lining is an available excursion in Omis and we are really sorry to hear you were unable to partake in this excursion. We see that you also enquired about this prior to your cruise and we confirmed this was an option. We are currently investigating further into why you were unable to do this at the time - thank you for your feedback on this. It's great to hear you had a great trip otherwise and we thank you for providing feedback.
While all of the places we ported on the trip were gorgeous, the Sail-Croatia experience was disappointing. The itinerary that we were presented with described beautiful towns and exertions, but failed to mention that that main focus of every single day was which club the boat would be attending that night. I am no stranger to a good party, but this trip was truly a glorified booze cruise and was not what we expected. It is also important to note that the sail-Croatia groups do not have a good reputation in the different ports and so when we were with the big group we often got poor service. sail-Croatia clearly has deals with certain restaurants that they urge you to go to and they were often sub-par. The worst part of the whole trip was that we paid extra for an air-conditioned room due to the forcasted heat at the time of year we were traveling. There was a tiny fan in the room that provided no relief from the heat. It was nearly impossible to sleep. Overall a disappointment.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. It is great to read that you found the ports gorgeous. In regards to the itinerary, our Navgiator cruises are aimed at 18 to 35 year old travellers looking to socialise, party and experience the Croatian night life. We find that passengers joining this cruise wish to experience the bars and clubs at each port, so the Sail Croatia Representative will organise this for them. We have Explorer cruises which are suitable for those wishing not to partake in a Navigator experience, and we would always recommend this for customers who would like to avoid partying. There are a number of organised cruises in Croatia which have quite large groups dining at different restaurants daily, we are one of the longest, well established cruise companies in Croatia. We have partners who we work with at each destination where guest can recieve discounts, free drinks and/or free entry. Customers are under no obligation to visit these bars, and are welcome to explore themselves or we can provide recommendations of other places to dine. You had booked on an Ensuite ship and air-conditioning isn't available on our Ensuite ships however the cabins do include fans. Air-conditioning is available on our Premier and Premier Plus ships. Thank you for your feedback.
We have a few negative issues; 1. They should have a different system in placed for the way drinks would be tallied up. 2. We had a wonderful leader but the way she was treated by others on our boat, was uncalled for. The other crew members ie Captain should have intervened when abusive/threatening language was used at the leader.

Thank you for your feedback - We hope you enjoyed the cruise with us. Thank you for your kind comments on your leader - I will be sure to pass these on to her. With regards to the bar tab, we are implementing an improved system for next season so thank you for your comments on this. Regarding the leader being verbally abused, we do not tolerate this type of behaviour to our leader or guests - guests are dealt with accordingly as we have strict procedures in place for any such behaviour. We are currently investigating further. Thank you.
More time on the islands and less on the boat

2 courses for lunch is plenty. Shade over part of the top floor. Better quality of wine. Better quality of mixers for cocktails. Provide a receipt for each drink purchase to allow a tally of what has been charged.
