Excellent experience all round

I had a great time on my Sail Croatia bicycle cruise. The rides were all very doable on the e-bikes for all levels of riders. You can make it challenging and taxing or let the bike do most of the work and enjoy the scenery. Staff were very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and brought everyone together. The food was good and plentiful, and the boat was comfortable and clean. The rides allow you to visit and experience parts of the islands that you would never see on a standard cruise. From historical sites to out of the way cafes every day brought something new. I’m going to recommend this trip to all my friends, most of whom are seniors, as a must do.

What an experience. We were looked after from the time we made our reservations till we disembarked. The staff were extremely friendly and always ready to assist onboard. Safety was the captains priority as he always tried to avoid bad weather situations. Our tour guide Josko ensured fantastic rides with spectacular scenery. Oh, please go with the E-bike option.

A dsily cycling excursion is the best way to experience the beauty of Croatia. I would highly recommend this trip. The E-Bike makes all routes and overlooks accessible. The swim stops from the boat and the beach were also pristine.

As a previous customer of Sail Croatia I knew I would enjoy myself and the company of an international gathering. It was enjoyable and the few changes were welcome. E Bikes were better but they should had wider tyres. Guides were very professional. Food was mostly very good. However, I thought that I would upgrade the boat that I had selected but I think this boat was the poorest I have been on in all four previous holidays. Rooms were small, decorations were beginning to feel very dated. Air conditioning in the bedrooms was good. Lounge areas were only adequate but outside spaces were only a little more generous, All Sail Croatia staff were good as were boat’s complement. Excellent Captain. The last day before arriving in Dubrovnik was a poor cycling day and I think that you need to find a more demanding and interesting ride. It really was disappointing In summery, better boat for Premium, more appropriate bikes, final day rethink. Thanks for running the trip.

We were on a cycle cruise from Split to Split. What a fantastic holiday. Lucila and Dora were amazing hosts/leaders. Very helpful, knowledgeable and funny. All the crew were great. The waiters were friendly and efficient. The food was great. Accommodation was better than expected and our room was checked daily with fresh bedding and towels mid week. The e-bikes were in great condition and any issues were sorted out immediately. All in all a very good holiday.

Ana and Borno, our guides, made the experience unforgettable. They put everyone at ease, provided practical and historical information, and made each ride fun. I was mesmerized by the views on the rides. The boat was modern and comfortable. The food was amazing. The entire crew was helpful, cordial and fun. We had an amazing trip on the cycling cruise! The amenities, crew and experience were over the top and a must do. You will be overfed with some of the best food for breakfast and lunch and be well taken care of by the bar and sail staff! The real game changers were Joško and Calum as our guides for all things from the bike route, history, restaurant recs, must see sites, views and entertainment! If you are able to request them as your guides then you would be doing yourself and the rest of the guests a disservice by missing out on the elevated expertise and attitude that they bring to your experience on this trip!

This trip far and away exceeded my expectations. The accommodations were excellent. The food was great, and the ship’s staff was very professional and organized. Can’t express enough how great the cruise directors were; Andro and Mario. They clearly brought together all the components of making this a successful trip with a high degree of professionalism, politely answered thousands of questions, clearly explained Croatian history with pride for the country, and used appropriately timed humor with guests; many good laughs! I’ve made many good friendships that I expect will last for years. Already looking ahead to my next Sail Croatia adventure.

I signed up for this trip at the last minute and I am so glad I did. It was incredible in every way. Sailing on the Afrodita to all the islands was a truly special experience. If you strive on active and adventurous trips, this trip checks all the boxes, including not only biking and swimming but also enough free time to explore the islands as you want. The guides, Tonka and Natasha, were fabulous. They are knowledgeable, helpful and cheerful, always providing just enough direction but not too much. Since they are Croatians, I got a better sense of the country through them. The trip was extremely well orchestrated. For example, we might depart from one port on an island and then be met by the boat at another port. Never any hiccups, it was like magic! They also would adjust itinary based on weather or port conditions in a seamless way. Another nice thing is that dinners were on our own, so each night, we could do whatever we wanted for the evening.

I was delighted on the service on the ship and quality of our tour guides Cal and Tonka. Due to potentially bad weather they worked with the captain to tour the south of the island instead of the north. As a bonus they took us to a stone sculpting school. They did extensive research on all our stops about things to see and the history of the area. They were always in tune with our needs and went above and beyond. The ship is in excellent condition, the bikes were like new. The food on the ship was delicious and plentiful. Quite often we said the ships food was better than some of the restaurants we visited. I'm looking forward to booking another holiday with Sail Croatia

My wife and I had a great time on the sailing and biking adventure! The guides, scenery, and bikes were amazing! The routes were challenging at times and very beautiful. We had plenty of free time and made lots of new friends from around the world. We added extra days in Split (before) and Dubrovnik (after) which were both very enjoyable. Really loved this trip!

Holiday was great. All staff on the boat were great to deal with. Boat was clean and safe as well as the food was excellent. Only drawback was that there were some people not on ebikes which held up the whole tour several times. Would have liked to ebike longer distances but were not able to because of this issue.

Fantastic. As hosts and cycling guides, Callum and Josko were first class. They were very supportive and ensured each ride was completed with safety in mind. They were knowledgeable about the areas we cycled through and provided snippets of the history that truly added value to the rides. Enjoyment of the rides and our overall holiday was paramount. They truly made a first class partnership that enhanced our experience no end. Although the crew were less engaged in one-to-one engagement within our daily activities they made the cruise experience a very enjoyable one and should also be commended.

The holiday was more than excellent. The boat was very clean and comfortable. The crew were exceptional being very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and our chef was great. Our tour managers Tonka and Lucija were wonderful. I really liked story time with history of Croatia etc. They regularly updated us on the group Whatsup. I was pleased I changed to an E-bike a month before leaving as there were some long hills to climb. We had a great very friendly group. I would def recommend this bike boat trip with Sail Croatia to anyone. I love Croatia.

We had an amazing trip. My cabin sheets were unscented which I needed for scent allergies. The cook took great care with food for my allergies. Ivan and Borna were wonderful guides. I enjoyed the other people on the tour and the guides (Marin and Martin). I did feel that the boat used was not a proper one for this kind of cruise. Once the bikes were loaded there was little room left. I noted other boats when at dock that were roomier on the stern on the middle. Also, the breakfast buffet was poorly organized. Again, there was a lack of space forcing people into a small table area where only one person could get in and had to come back out into the same line. There should be access in the round and not at one of the eating tables. When parked alongside other boats there was no airflow. This became an issue when the air conditioning was not working. The crew was not very friendly, were smoking near the eating area and on their phones. There were no smokers on the tour so it was somewhat disgusting to have to inhale the crews cigarette smoke. They should go off the boat or to the upper deck if they want to smoke. The food was not of good quality. Needs improvement.

Having struggled over the last few years with what works for us as a holiday, my wife and I have bounced between exotic destinations and luxury beach holidays. We’ve found that neither are particularly fulfilling and, although we’ve always enjoyed ourselves, we feel that our experience has been lacking. We thought that we would leave our comfort zone by trying an activity holiday with a group of complete strangers. Having just finished a cruise with Sail Croatia, I can honestly say that, certainly for us, I feel that we’ve found what was missing. A holiday which was centred around our activity level but challenged us to push ourselves further. An experience which allowed us to form friendships with travellers from all over the world. A well led and curated cultural introduction, facilitated by guides (Marin & Olja) who love their country and job, while supporting their guests to bond, experience and enjoy their holiday. We would definitely recommend this holiday, company and guides.

The Adriatic islands are now my favorite area - they have it all. The cruise/biking experience was icing on a marvelous cake. Lauren, Andro and crew took good care of the 17 of us with humor, insights and kindness. It’s obvious that the company has figured things out so itinerary can be adjusted as necessary. Wi-Fi worked great, a “WhatsApp” site, good food, fine accommodations. I’d note only that e-bikes should be considered essential due to the distances and grades - all but 2 in our group had them and were VERY grateful.

I travelled as a solo passenger but needn't have worried. From the offset it was the friendliest group of passengers, staff and crew i have ever met. The 2 Sail Croatia leaders, josko and Lauren , were outstanding and nothing was too much trouble, managing to change my picky carnivorous diet to a vegetarian one after 2 days. It was exactly the same with the crew of our boat, the "Dionis"- a very comfortable and ideally sized boat for the holiday- bigger boats around seemed too big and cold compared to the smaller boats. The excursions and cycle routes were absolutely ideal. Most of our 15 passengers opted for the E-bikes but 4 of us had the normal calf powered versions, which didn’t detract from the enjoyment. We had the chance to have a swim stop most days and after a chilly 10 minutes swim, the scorching onboard showers were a very pleasurable welcome experience. This was my first time as a solo traveller on a group trip but i now see it as the only way forward in future

A great combination of traveling on a midsize boat, max. 32 guests, we had 17 which made the excursion so much more personable with guests and crew. Weather in first of May was decent. 20ish degrees.

We were advised after we sailed about extra charges above those we paid for the trip, 50.00 per person port taxes and harbor charges. Why were surprised by these because sail Croatia didn’t tell us. Not very nice. To be paid in cash before final disembarking.

The ship itself was impressive lovely cabins and great showers. Only critique cabins could be warmer on the cooler says. Heater controls made no difference.

Miranda and Sanya at SC paced the week perfectly balancing between bike time, boat time and town time. They were more like coaches than guides for an old guy (no e bike for me). Highly recommend them.

This was our seventh B & B trip and we had an excellent time. The staff and guides did an excellent job throughout the week. The food on the ship was very good. We used ebikes which I would recommend, they made the hills which there are many very easy to peddle up. There were not any panier bags on the bikes to carry anything in so I would recommend brining a small backpack or sling bike while riding.

My second Sail Croatia holiday and just as good as the first. I chose the Split Northern Cycle Tour to explore some new places and more of some of the places I'd visited previously, It was a great trip with an excellent multi national bunch of people on board. We were well looked after and the rides were excellent, scenic, varied, interesting and challenging but do go for the e-bike option unless you are a serious bike rider!

The small sized ships allowed access to smaller, quieter, and less busy ports allowing access to the real charm of Croatia. We loved the varied destinations, ports, and rides. No two days were the same. It also allowed us to really interact with the other guests and get to know them well. Our guide’s knowledge of the area and its history was excellent and very informative.

The islands were beautiful and the combination of sail and cycling was the best way of seeing them. We saw so many incredible and interesting things. The cycling was more challenging than I expected but the group and the guides kept us all going and the achievement of completing the rides on a pedal bike with the amazing views of the islands was special. We were lucky to be part of a small group of 8 passenger from UK and USA. Everyone got on so well and made a great group that added to the experience. Ivica was a great lead guide with so much experience and local knowledge, he was friendly and looked after the group. Calum kept the fun coming with good stories, playlists, and the best recommendations on where to eat and drink. The Dionis was a lovely boat with a very happy and friendly crew, we felt very comfortable and looked after. The meals on the boat were amazing and kept us fuelled up for the cycling. Our first cycling holiday but won’t be our last.

The locations and crew were outstanding. Our guides Mario and Marin were full of knowledge and stressed safe riding. The crew on the boat were also very good. The booking process was less than stellar. My son and I were assigned a room with one double bed, not two singles. Since are large people, it did not work. He slept under the bed. Booking knew the assignment but would not/could not change it. Serious screw up by the office staff.

I travelled solo, on the Emanuel boat on the Cycling cruise from Split to Dubrovnik. Cycling was a great way to see the different islands of Croatia. The guides (Ana and Josko) knew the area really well, and organised a fun ride on each island with beautiful views. The e-bike allowed me to sweat or relax as much as I wanted. There were 3 people who got a regular bike (no e-assist) but they were pretty serious cyclists. I'd recommend an e-bike unless you want a difficult bike ride on your holiday. I appreciated the daily stops for swimming off the boat too! I really enjoyed the schedule of breakfast and lunch on the boat - With a 2-3 hour cycle in between. And then you get your own free time to explore an island after lunch. Great way to explore, relax, eat local, and experience each island. As a solo traveler, I paid a 50% extra to have my own room. It's worth it for me, but to each their own. I'd highly recommend this cruise, and hope I get to go again soon!!

The crew went to great lengths daily to address any questions or concerns. The food was great and if you liked your morning eggs other than was offered, the cook took orders. The cycling staff was very attentive to your safety and to each person physically being able to do days planned route. All in all great service for an affordable price.

The cabins were cold and the first nigt on board the boat we could hardly sleep due to the chill in the cabin. We could not control the tempreture in the cabin. The cabin had lower standard than we expected. The food served on board was not good.Breakfast was good but lunch and grill could have been better.. I had the feeling during the trip that we were alwayes in a hurry. and the cykling tours not relaxed.Not much time for fotos or to observe the scenery etc. Nevertheless we enjoyed the trip.The staff was friendly and helpful at all times.

A comfortable ship crewed by an exceptional team and hosted by lovely knowledgeable hosts. The itinerary with cycling included was and varied and just the right distance and the information provided by our hosts prior to and during the rides was relevant, helpful and interesting. Although we had weather interruptions towards the end of he week, our crew and host did all they could to ensure we still had a fulfilling trip. The food was superb and plentiful prepared by an excellent chef who was a wonderful character and served by a most well mannered and delightful waiter who kept a clean and tidy salon. All crew were friendly, helpful and for whom nothing was any trouble. These are great holidays for meeting and spending time with new people who become friends. This is the second time I have taken a holiday with Sail Croatia and have loved both trips. I would book again in a heart beat if there was an itinerary that gave greater variation from the two trips I have now done.

Our yacht is well maintained, modern, clean and spacious. Hosts, Crews, and guides are friendly polite and knowledgeable. Meals are delicious. Croatia coast sea is calm. Sleep in the yacht is pleasant. No worries for sea sickness. Every night in different towns, different beaches without packing, unpacking and bus around. A truly must have experience.

The weather was beautiful and perfect for cycling. Meeting so many amazing and interesting people (both guests and crew) made for a wonderful experience too. There is no shortage of chef prepared food both on the ship and at any of the port of calls. It is possible to gain weight on a cycling tour! Our guides Karolina and Mila are a dynamic duo! Karolina is dedicated and professional and made certain that we were safe and understood our plans for the day. Mila was a fountain of information at each stop or historical sight. All in all a fantastic trip where you will make some new friends, some of whom will be friends for life.

Mt wife and I enjoyed our cycling trip from Dubrovnik to Split. The boat crew and Sail Croatia team were very accommodating and the sites we visited were splendid. My only complaint was my wife and I asked for a twin bed but were given two singles when one of the Sail Croatia guides had a room to himself in a double bed. That was not right. Other than that the trip was a wonderful experience.

From the first minute of arrival they both worked to ensure the entire group was having a good time, and understanding the timeline for activities. We are Canadians working and living in the Netherlands. Avid cyclists, we wanted to spend time in Croatia in the cities of Split, Zadar and Dubrovnik, but also experience the islands and coastline you hear and read about. A boat with bikes for day trips, was the perfect solution. We'd eat breakfast between 7:30 & 8:30 eCh morning, and meet at the bikes for 9 am. We'd typically bike until around noon when we,'d return to the boat for a swim and lunch, followed by R&R on board as we sailed for our next gorgeous town. We'd have the late afternoon/evening to explore and find supper and then back to the boat only to repeat it again the next day! The food on board was excellent and the staff were top shelf! Cabins were comfortable - all you can hope for. We had a tour Director and a Bike Guide ... both were professional, observant to needs, and positive energy. They were a joy. So don't heistate ... it's well worth the money!

We met with an interesting and lively mix of people from different parts of the world. The two Guides Nina and Ivica were knowlegable and very encouraging towards the different levels of cyclists on the trip. Because of wet and windy weather the first couple of days they had to adapt routes. They kept us well informed of changes. The crew and restaurant staff were always on hand and friendly. The food was good quality and well presented. We also had a good amount of time to explore the towns where we stopped. It was interesting to learn the local history and see some of the very old buildings. Overall a very enjoyable week and new friends made.

The best way to explore Dalmatian coast is to sail between islands. Great meals served on board, great relaxed vibe and company of guides. A lot can be seen on each island cycling from point A to B, often with boat waiting at point B. Great evenings with good local wine and food. 26 friends and family sailed on the Emanuel from Split to Dubrovnik. Nina from Sail Croatia was a great guide the food on the Emanuel was delicious and each port was somehow nicer than the last. I only wish was spending more time on the bikes exploring the islands. The schedule keep us fairly tied to the A To B trip with little time for side trips. Also, much of the biking day was spent waiting for slower riders which would have made my trip even better…..

I must say what a wonderful trip we had. To the entire staff of the "Mali Ante" thank-you. A special thanks goes out to Mario the waiter/bartender he was such a great host and the Chef Antonio was amazing with his meal preparations. Our cycling guides Vania and Srdan were great as was as the Captain Vladimir and his deckhands. This was an amazing trip saw some wonderful sights and the cycling was great. Cruising and cycling must be the best way to see the Croatian islands. Made even better by my fellow shipmates, guides and crew. Cycling on a classic hybrid bike was very tough on a couple of days, with long 'Tour de France' type climbs. Unless you're used to such climbs and in good shape, opt for an e-bike (even though it's cheating!!). Food and accommodation were good, Ports stopped at were wonderful and varied with amazing restaurant options (especially Korcula, which is unmissable)

Our trip was delightful. The Croatian coastline and islands via a cycle tour is the way to go. The Mali Ante crew, captain, and guides made the experience special. Nothing was too big and the service and food were excellent. Our guides Hrvoje and Ivan were knowledgeable and colourful personalities. In short, this is something I would highly recommend. We initially planned to ride on standard bicycles being reasonably fit but fortunately changed to EBikes which I think is essential in the heat. We took our teenage children with us and it worked out really well and they integrated with the other guests. Lastly, the administration run by Sail Croatia is first class. Well done!

The trip in May 2022 was fantastic. The ship is great, the meals wonderful, the biking was interesting and neither overchallenging or underchallenging. The island sites for riding were beautiful and the roads used were mostly without cars. For our bike holiday from May 21 to 28, 2022m the weather was terrific. We had one high wind crossing but mostly flat calm seas. The people in our bike group were lovely, kind and mutually supportive. I would recommend Sail Croatia for others to consider if you want to have an active holiday in Croatia, a very beautiful country.

Staff on board is A+++, and the food, was exceptional, along with the wine choices. The rooms are quite nice, and the envy of other cruises we met along the way. I would suggest for a group of 24 cyclists, that 2 guides are not enough. Plus on a short incline to reach a busy road, we should have pushed our bikes up. Instead, many cyclists fell back, and pushed me into the bramble. Serious injury had i landed on the road rather than the bushes!!! Xrays to come shortly.

Excellent boat for this type of holiday. Clean, well presented, comfortable, choice of a number of socialising areas, good sized and facilitated cabins. Captain and all staff including Sail Croatia cycling guide, were outstanding doing everything to make this trip so enjoyable. In particular the chef was outstanding in producing really lovely meals. The atmosphere created by the whole staff and crew was extremely friendly and all were endlessly helpful. My third trip with Sail. Croatia and whilst all have been really good, this has been the best. If we had been on the Southern Route with this boat and crew then it would have been a most outstanding holiday. Thank you Sail Croatia and appreciate the office staff too to accommodate the wishes of customers through this very difficult trading time.

The boat. Outdated, cramped, badly ventilated in the downstairs cabin. Cupboard space inadequate for two people as there was no shelving. Dining room space just coped. Crockery inadequate with just one cup per person and some had chips out. Insufficient glasses for morning juice. Breakfast was a race as there limited yogurts, fruit drinks, poor choice of cereal, very poor coffee, real milk not always available. Main leader was disorganised speaking before all holiday members were there so it became. Chinese’s whispers to find information. Meeting times announced were not kept to by leader and he would start early. Boat left port before announced times. I could go on.

Staff hangs around community areas and smokes cigarettes. Extremely offensive to passengers. All cruises should be smoke free. This is ridiculous in this day and age. Also, more time should be dedicated to biking and less on “boat time”.

Boat is not owned by sail Croatia. Its sub contracted. We asked for our 2 rooms with our daughter s to be next to each Other . The boat never got the request. The grey water tank overflowed into our bathroom. It was really gross The roof leaked from the ice machine above and soaked our mattresses The shower floor leaked and the bathroom floor was entirely flooded. The beds had broken springs and uncomfortable No ventilation in the lower cabins . Dank musty and moldy. No portholes to open. Sealed shut. After 3 days crew finally turned in air conditioning. Captain did this not sail Croatia. The crew were awesome and apologetic. Lead guide /Sail Croatia did not offer to compensate for these issues at all. Gordana the 2nd guide was very nice. Food was excellent. Great views and cycling for the most part very good. We would like to see a partial refund for the accommodations. The 20" wheel ebikes are wrong for the terrain. The newer 26" mobiles we saw for next cruise were correct.

We cruised up the hills, made easy for us though we are seventy years old by excellent e-bikes. Just finished a cruise and cycle holiday from Split visiting several islands off the mainland on board Ocean boat. This is a great way to see the lovely islands by bike. The group on board got on really well and was made up of guests from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa and England totalling 31 in number. The boat was ideal for this type of trip and the whole crew did a great job looking after us. The chef was a character and cooked up some wholesome Croatia cuisine. The organisation of the rides was first class as was the quality of bike. Even the less-fit were able to use eBikes so even the steepest of climbs (up to around 300-500m from sea level) meant that the whole group could participate on the rides. I travelled solo but this is an activity holiday and everybody got on so well during the whole week. There was never a dull moment. The cycling, the drinking, meals in port, having fun on the boat...... this is a

The level of cycling was challenging, but really rewarding - the views and the descents were worth the tough climbing. Half our boat had electric bikes that made it a great leveller so all the boat stayed together on the daily rides. The boat was comfortable and very sociable - the crew looked after us all, and the overall experience highly enjoyable. We had two great guides looking after us Pav and Miranda, managing each day's cycling and keeping us all in check. The rest of the guests were an international selection of Australians, South Africans, Anglo Americans and a large group of 60 somethings from Scotland - we all mixed together well and everyone made my family of two grown up sons (20 and 19), and my 15 year old daughter feel welcome. The islands we visited were beautiful, with fabulous ports with large selection of bars and restaurants for our evening or lunchtime meals when we were not eating on the boat. Go for it if you like an active holiday!

I have been on several cycling holidays but what attracted me to this one was the combination of cycling and sailing. Everywhere you went in Croatia there were stunning views and although the cycling was quite challenging at times it was well worth it to see yet more stunning views at the top of a climb. The guides were great fun and the staff on board were fantastic. Food was 1st class and the remaining cyclists were a great bunch. If I was to make one criticism, and I am reluctant to do so it would be that the organisation of the rides could have been better. I felt that there should have been three staff on each ride one at the front.who nobody should pass,one in the middle to wait by junctions to show people which way to go and one at the back to bring in the taill enders. This is no reflection on the tour leaders who were all excellent. I would certainly recommend this trip to anyone and I intend doing the Southern Route next year, Thanks for a fabulous holiday.

Small cruise was a great way to meet new people. Cameraderie was excellent. Guides were wonderful people, super friendly. And why not?

A really great bunch on the boat, great cycling in a beautiful country. Well organised and unexpectedly good food on the boat. What is not to like? Just relax and enjoy the undulations........ I will be back for the northern route.

I can honestly say, it was one of the best experiences of my life. The boat and crew were fantastic, the food was exceptional and the guides were the highlight of my trip.I would gladly do the trip again any day and I do recommend the trip to all my friends and anyone who might be interested in doing such an adventure holiday. Great value for money.
